I don’t know what this book was supposed to be but it fell short. My dislike for Alegria grew for sure

Mistletoe (K19 Security Solutions Book 3) by Heather Slade

What's a little danger between friends. If you're this group of friends, it's the perfect time to make new memories. Mistletoe is the perfect time to catch up with a few old friends and new acquaintances. Slade gives readers one more chance to say goodbye to her unpredictable characters and their chaotic lives. Temptation holiday style.

A nice tease.

3,5 stars

This book showed a little bit of some of the couples in the series. It was sweet to see them together (in Ava/Razor's and Zary/Gunner's case) or trying to be together (Mantis/Alegria/Dutch and Striker/Aine).

It showed a little bit of their lives and their expectations and how they were dealing with their fears, insecurities and love.

Delightful holiday reunion with the K19 team!

From just before Thanksgiving through to Christmas, we see the K19 couples navigating their way through the uncharted territory of holiday-based family reunions and surprise connections.

Tabon and Ava and Gunnar and Zary are hosting everyone for a West-Coast Thanksgiving, which brings us current on not just their continued happily-ever-afters but also updates us on their extended family and a couple new relationships among the K19 team.

Aine's flirtation with Striker blossoms into a full-fledged love affair, just before he is called away on a mission that goes horribly wrong. Alegria and Mantis are struggling with the changes in their relationship, while Dutch tries to pick up the pieces for both of them.

As they all end up on the East Coast for Christmas at Gunner's family home, tensions are even higher for those still on their mission, as well as for those at home who are adapting to a new way of life. This book does an amazing job of showcasing the transition from life-threatening drama to peaceful security for Zary and her extended family. I especially loved watching the three sisters bond together, as well as seeing the moms band together to help Zary's mom acclimate to her new country.

Just as you think you'll get everything resolved, the book ends on a bit of a suspenseful note that effectively sets up the next book in this amazing series. If you've read any of the K19 or Butler Ranch books, you don't want to miss this one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I have fallen in love with this series. I started it out of order and going back has given me insight into the other major characters. In this book we peek into the holidays and as with most families there are some conflicts and some romance and surprises as well.

Gunner, Zary, Razor and Ava are hosting these holidays and their town houses are rapidly filling. So the Inn nearby is also filling with the K19 Crew. So lets see who's all there, we have Aine and Striker (surprise Gunner), Monk and Saylor, Saylor's girls, Odette, Gunner's Mom Madeline, Zary's Mom Svelana, Ava and Aine's Mom Peggy, Onyx, Topar and finally Aine's friends Pen and Tara. At least I think I have everyone covered.

Most of the conflict surrounds Mantis, Dutch and Alegria, and the others all contribute to the happy.

Alegria is recovering from surgery, and even though Mantis is right there beside her, when she sees Dutch she reaches for him. Now the friendship between Mantis and Dutch is in jeopardy.

Unbeknownst to Razor, Gunner has invited Mantis for the holiday festivities. So with Alegria and Dutch coming at Razor's invite you know things will get interesting.

A mission gone wrong, and many surprises fill this book with page turning fun and action. With a side story about puppies that will have you sniffling.

The crew is together . . . well kinda and of course that means the sh$t is hitting the fan in more ways than one. But of course just cos they are together it doesn't mean there isn't conflict. While some deal with the pain and comfort of family and relationships there are others that it's even harder on. Of course there are missions and the results have sent emotions into over drive, questioning, wondering, wanting but not having. This holiday will never be the same and it may not be one worth celebrating. The gang isn't all here and it isn't by choice. High energy is the norm so strap yourself in for not only an emotional read that has intrigue and action but a whole lot of something going on. It's never a dull moment as the change from single and off to save the world to committed to the women and family that have saved them along the way. The guys are changing and they are loving the women that are giving them a new reason to live.

Love this author and this gang of men and the women who keep them grounded. . . in most cases. They love as hard as they fight. Some may have found their forever but a few of the guys are finding out right now and forever aren't the same thing.

This is my first read by this author and I while I did enjoy the book it was very hard for me to get into as this is book 3 in this series. I felt totally lost as to who these characters were and their connection. Each character had a “real” name and “job” name and the author kept switching up their names in conversation so that was hard for me to folIow. However, I did enjoy their banner, learning who was in love and just meeting the characters. I enjoyed the plot with this being centered around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Several of the characters had a hard history so being together with new and old friends during holidays made the group even closer. When a couple of the guys in the group go missing a mission is launched to go find them so this added a bit of nail biting to the story. Also, if you aren’t a fan of cliffhangers (which I am not) this one definitely has one of those. All the “issues” I had with reading this book did not reflect on the author’s talent or story. I should have read the first two books in this series and then I would have enjoyed this one much more.

I purchased this 4 Box Series thinking it was about K-9s. I mistakenly read the series name, as their have been no dog heroes in these books. However, this book I finally get my dogs!
So far I have found this series for me to be complicated due the large cast, and the storylines a little too long and complex for my liking. I also feel the author should cut back on the number of sex scenes.
Well, this book took care of all my concerns. It was the perfect length and such an enjoyable read. Yes, it was more fluff, then substance, but even alpha males, former assassins, spies, etc. need to slow down and have family time.
This books follows the couples through the holiday seasons. They are thankful for their new romantic relationships, reuniting with family members, and the health and well being of their friends. They most all spend a glorious White Christmas together. I loved how the mothers took over the holidays! Even big bad heroes need their Moms!
This book sets up the friendship, love affairs, and jealousy between Mantis, Dutch, and Algeria.

An all inclusive K19 Holiday Season💚💙
Loved it! Brought most of the K19 family back together so we could see all the guys with their loves, their families. Their interactions, mostly happy and quite funny, with a ton of emotions.
I want to say this journey is about Aine and Striker. They fell fast and hard, but thru a long distance relationship, now they finally get together, then Striker gets the call.
With so many characters together for the holidays, it encompasses more than just one couple and I totally enjoyed all the catching up.
It also brings us the triangular mess of Mantis, (next book) Alegria and Dutch which now has me waiting impatiently for their story, esp since Mantis is MIA.
Just a great series all the way with twists and turns, romances, action. Each book can be read alone with an HEA, but I think you'll want the whole series.

It’s the holidays and the K19 team and their families are all together. From pregnancies and puppies to shopping and special ops, there’s a lot going on in this seemingly novella length book. We get the chance to catch up with all of the team members, get a glimpse of a new love, a little more insight on an old one and have a few surprises added in. This book also sets the scene for the next book, and I can’t wait to read Mantis's story! If you’re keeping up with the guys from K19, you’ll love this holiday story. If you’re new to this series, you may feel a little lost, but it’s still a terrific introduction to all the guys, their women and the other family members, with plenty of action to keep you entertained from the first page to the last.

This book has loads going on in it, if you haven't read the first 2 books you may feel a bit overwhelmed to begin with due to all the characters, but it does all start to settle into place. Thanksgiving and Christmas are a time of year when all families have emotions running high and all sorts of things going on and the K19 Security Solutions team is no different to any other crazy family. the characters are all great whether it be the guys or gals and you feel right at home with them, I loved the growing new romance between Aine and Striker although not everyone is and there are some great surprises, heart warming moments as well as reminders that even if it is the holidays there are some who still have to work. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what new adventures they are in for!

jAnother book of the "K19 Security Solutions" Series. Starting witht he preparations for Thanksgiving, Razor and Gunner open their home to all core members of K19. The event takes a darker turn, when 2 of the group are sent on a mission on Thanksgiving's Day and noword is heard from them. People at home get restless, worrying about them while busily preparing for another big gathering - Christmas.
Love shown at its best and at its worst, wonderful at times, torturous at times. Friendship as a strong bond to help overcome even the worst of problems.
A wonderful story.
The book could be read as a standalone, but definitely is better, if the reader has knowledge of the previous two books.

Mistletoe, book 3 in this series about the K19 Security Solutions team brings the entire crew together along with family, friends, and other loved ones for the holidays. While adventure follows this team wherever they go and they can find themselves called away on a moment's notice and are, this story allows the reader to better appreciate each of the members we have grown to love from the earlier stories as they come together to celebrate the holidays and the bonds of their friendship and family. The story is touching, the adventure is gripping, and of course there remains suspense that leaves you guessing!

Mistletoe is the third book in Heather Slade's K19 series, and let me tell you, this series is a wild ride! Mistletoe takes place from Thanksgiving through Christmas day and the team is spending the holidays together. Therefore, this book is about Gunner and Zary, Razor and Ava, Aine and Striker, and Dutch, Mantis and Alegria. This one expands on the relationships between couples as well as the K19 team. I will not provide any spoilers, but I will say this. Never be afraid or ashamed to take the opportunity to tell loved ones what they mean to you. I can't wait for the story of Mantis to be available!

The adventure and intrigue continues in this third book of the K19 Solutions series. Aine and Striker act on their amazing attraction while visiting with Tabon and Ava and then Gunner and Zary for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Ms Slade spins an engaging tale about spies and missions and the many life changes for the K19 personnel as life continues on the home front even while the warriors are away. A lot of the teams relationships are explored in this telling. This story also seems to hammer in the point that you should tell your loved ones how you feel about them while you have the chance. I thoroughly enjoyed this tale and am now really looking forward to the next story in the series.

A really good romantic suspense! 💞❤️️💞

Let me start this off by saying that this book is not a standalone book in the series. This is, however, a really good book that deals with catching up with everyone in the series and continuing on with some. I really enjoyed catching up with everyone and seeing where they are headed. But let me be clear here... this does end on a cliffhanger. Normally I don't like cliffhangers but with this type of series, you have to expect them and they wouldn't be as much fun to read if they weren't there.😉

There are many surprises and it's filled with what we've come to expect from the author... loads of intrigue, danger, passion, love, and healing.💕💗💕

t is recommended that you read the first two books so you know who the couples are and who are still working on getting together. Two couples from other books (Ava/Tabon and Zary/Gunner) are having a Thanksgiving party. A pregnancy was revealed, along with another couple getting together. Yet another couple is still having trouble so there is quite a bit going on within this story yet if you have been following this series, it will bring forth some closure yet leave others for yet another book. Very interesting book for readers who are familiar with most of these couples.

I think Im alone in this, but I did not enjoy this book at all. The narration was annoying with some of the accents exaggerated to the point of ridiculous and Allegria was a horrible hateful awful person. There I listened the more annoyed I became. All of the manipulation and using of other people for her own purpose with no thought about how her actions impacted others....ewww. There was really no one in the book I liked enough to read any more of the series. For me, this was a waste of my time. And some of the mothers, well they didn't deserve the honor of the title. I am truly surprised that so many people liked this story as much as they did. I feel like I read a different book.

A collection of interacting of the K19 team members and their families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. These insightful tidbits made me want to read the full series. Which is unusual as they usually leave me lost and nothe wanting to read the rest of the book. But I felt like I was having holidays with new friends and getting to know them better. If you've read her series you'like feel like your catching up with old friends and if like me your new, you'look want to jump in and get to know your friends better. I just downloaded Razor.

I hadn’t realised that this was the third book in the K19 series until I looked on Amazon. When I first started reading it I have to admit I struggled.. There seemed to be so many characters and the storyline of each seemed to be a continuation. I got the first book and enjoyed that and then restarted this one. I really enjoyed it now I had an idea of the back story of most of the characters. There is a great mix of romance and suspense and I really liked the interaction of all the different people. I would suggest that the series be read in order.

This is a wonderful holiday treat for readers of this series. With a well written story that occurs from just before Thanksgiving and continues through Christmas the K19 team, their mates , their family and friends are brought together into a very enjoyable book. This read provides a perfect balance of checking in with familiar, beloved couples, let's one couple find love and starts the groundwork for the next couples book. So, yes there is a lot going on but it reads easily and comes together simply beautifully. An excellent read that was completely satisfying, while still making me yearn for the next book in this series. This is my truthful and totally voluntary review.

This is Book 3 of the K19 Security Solutions

This book revolves around Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love that the chapters alternate between Mantis, Allegria & Dutch, Zara & Gunner, Ava & Razor and Aine & Stryker. It was a pleasure to read about these couples all at once. Of course, there is a mission in between it all. It was a refreshing and different read, just because all of these characters were in it, together for the holidays. It was brilliant for Heather Slade to write something like this. All the love, all the happenings, all the anxiety and all the family time together. Another awesome book in this series.

The team of K19 Security Solutions are together to celebrate Thanksgiving. But it begins in a hospital where Mantis, Alegria and Dutch are after a mission where Mantis and Alegria were injured. When she reaches for Dutch Mantis leaves. They are thrown together at Thanksgiving where Mantis is when a mission comes in. Weeks later it;s Christmas and Mantis is MIA.
The story tells the history of each couple or soon to be couple as they come together as a huge family.
Fantastic story and heart rending read!

Another great story to the series. This one brings the K19 team together with their family, friends and loves during the Thanksgiving through Christmas holidays. The author does a fantastic job incorporating all the characters , their loves and friendships , adds in the danger of their jobs and brings tons of emotions , keeping you glued to the pages right to the end and then leaving you wanting more with the cliffhanger. I loved and would recommend this book.

The third book in the K19 Security Solutions series and I know I want to read the next book. This book takes you from just before Thanksgiving through to Christmas. Gunnar, Zary, Tabon, and Ava are hosting everyone for a West-Coast Thanksgiving then we get new relationships that start just before a mission between Aine and Striker. Then there is the struggle Alegria and Mantis are going through and Dutch trying to help them. This is one series that when it is finished I will be reading again. Heather Slade has created a well written, thrilling novela that intertwines all the characters from the K19 Security family but that also embodies the spirit and magic of the Christmas season and Christmas miracles. The K19 family are put to the test when two of their own go missing in Africa while also trying to keep the Christmas spirit alive at home for family and friends. A fantastic thrilling romantic read that readers won't want to put down. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

This was such. An enjoyable read. The K19 teams were reunited at Thanksgiving and Christmas.. It flowed up with Razor and Ava, who are happily married and expecting a baby. Gunner and Zary., their mothers, sisters, nieces and Ava’s twin sisters new crush, Striker. We’ve met these characters in previous books. Good storyline and a few twists and turns and a lead up to the next book in this series. I Love this Series and am looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend this book.
