Brittany Hughes is the most powerful witch of her generation but at twenty-one, she lacks the control of more mature witches. After a vampire attack that killed several people, including her mother, Brittany is abandoned by her coven and set adrift into the preternatural world. But she’s not alone. Brittany has earned the respect of the vampire colony and the werewolf pack. Everett Cooper has named himself her werewolf protector and friend.
As people start dying around Columbus and threaten to make the world of magic public, Brittany and Everett are lead down a path of gruesome bodies, tested friendships, and magical discovery. In their pursuit to stop the murders before more people end up dead and a full-fledged panic ensues, Brittany is drawn into a world of magic, mirrors, and the impossible becoming possible.

I found this to be a rather delightful read. I probably wouldn’t have read it if it wasn’t for a recommendation, but I’m glad I did! I loved Brittany and her growth through the book, realizing that both her magic, and her worth, can be found within. A lovely, YA fantasy!
I absolutely loved this book! Brittany is a witch with power beyond anyone’s imagination. When someone starts killing innocents by turning them into husks, she and the hunky werewolf, Ev, have to solve the crimes. Unfortunately, these attacks are part of a broader and very personal attack on Britt and everyone she loves.
I love the way Britt struggles to control her magic and her feelings for, Ev, who has rejected her. She’s a vibrant character and you want to be part of her world.
She may be young but her magic is very powerful but she is unable to control it probably. her parents are killed and she has earnt the respect of both the vampires and werewolves. She gains a protector and they will have to work hard to stop their world coming into view of the humans but murders are happening? Can they find the murderer? Can they keep the peace? See if they can

A spin-off series from Ms. Sabol’s “The Blushing Death” vampire series, “Hereditary Magic” invites readers to an immersive, incredibly detailed magical world.
I liked the story, and found the characters engaging. I would recommend the book to friends. The villain was one you could hate and also sympathize with. The heroine became more likeable towards the end.
