Futaro continues to lead the Quints to academic aptitude, but there are some treats in store for him as well! Having nearly missing his long-awaited school trip, Futaro tries to make the best of the situation and works on getting closer to all five girls. After getting a tip from one of the Quints, Futaro takes a different approach to getting the girls interested in their studies. Will they accept him into their lives...? Or will this really be the end of his short tutoring career?
This is, without a doubt, the best volume so far. I loved, loved, LOVED the drama and the interactions between Futaro and the girls. Miku's revelation was sweet and showed significant growth, while Yotsuba's enthusiasm and cheeriness lifted even the darkest moments. And my goodness, the two page spreads in this volume were AMAZING! Nino's invitation to "Kintaro" is easily my favorite, but Ichika's reaction to being held by Futaro was simple yet adorable. The artwork as a whole was stellar and each emotion was portrayed perfectly for the context of the scene. I will same I biased, though, cuz their pouty faces are my faves so far.
While this whole volume was one misunderstanding after another, I had a lot of fun reading it. I'm looking forward to finally getting some backstory on Futaro and learning which quintuplet is his mystery crush.
I felt there were aspects of this volume I really enjoyed. For example, I like how the Quintuplets and Futaro are not as at odds with each other as they were in the beginning. However, from the amount of progress all of them had made from the last two volumes alone I still felt like something was missing in this volume. I also understand while this is still a slice of life/romance manga, I'm getting a little annoyed with Futaro getting in misunderstanding situations with the sisters, the others find out, and then he's basically on the outs with them for a period of time. Again, I understand that's a classic romance trope I'm just not a fan of it. Also, I feel like the other volumes had a clear through line whereas with this volume we moved locations two or three times. It was just a lot for the storytelling aspect in regards to which of the sisters is mad at Futaro, which one is trying to get his attention, or which one is setting up storylines for future volumes. I'm still excited to read the next two volumes to see where it goes and I may feel differently about this volume if and when I reread it. I still enjoyed, just not as much as the previous volumes.
This is getting a bit better, with some more hints about the past. We get some good moments of growing closer and more open, as well as the fun times that usualy happen on a class trip. Still no real hint as to which girl is the bride, but I enjoy seeing those parts. Overall, its silly but fun.
This volume is set all around the camping trip of the school and it was continued fun and hits and misses for our hero and the quintuplets. Let's find out more and keep on reading.
I have always loved comics, and I have I can. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and hope always to love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.
I was thinking as I read this volume that it must be difficult to juggle five romances simultaneously while not allowing them to blossom too quickly. That thought will have more relevance later. This volume had a lot of nice moments, as well as laugh out loud funny ones, too. There was also a gorgeous splash page in the middle of the book, so the art was on par with a story. Even the obligatory public bath scene was done tastefully.
The weakest part of the volume was chapter 29 where too much was happening. At first I wondered if it was a problem with the translation, and then I wondered if the mangaka wasn’t sure what was happening either, but eventually I realized what the problem was. The mangaka deliberately withheld information in order to preserve a surprise at the end. This made the story confusing.
Fortunately, the volume ended well with a lovely peek into the future. Obviously, it’s difficult to juggle five romances simultaneously, so some of the girls get more focus than others per volume. This volume was Ichika, Miku, and Nino’s turn. Then the story ended by resetting the romance so that no sister had an advantage (Itsuki). Despite this minor frustration, this was a good volume.
I like the fun facts about the quintuplets in the beginning and how they change each time.
Let’s organize the quintuplets in the one I like most to the one I like least. Futaro goes first but that doesn’t mean I like him. It’s just because he’s the main character and I honestly feel nothing towards him except disdain when he’s being a jerk.
Futaro
Miku
Aww, a hedgehog as her favorite animal suits her. I felt so bad for her the whole volume.
This is probably my least favourite of the volumes so far. I didn't really find the camping trip story that interesting? It was cute, as always, but otherwise it didn't make me that interested. Miku and Itsuki are my favourites I think! I don't have much of an opinion of Ichika. Nino and Yotsuba are both cute - I don't see Yotsuba with him though and Nino... I think she could have a chance.

If you've been reading QQ then you know one of the Quints and Futaro eventually get married. I think the reason I like this one so much is That's not much of a spoiler, but if you don't want to know until you've read the volume don't click that.
Another reason I liked it is because it wasn't all about studying. We get to see a more personable side of Futaro and his interactions with the people around him.
Verdict: QQ is light and fun, worth the read. Hoping V.5 arrives soon.
Oh, are the quints ever so cute! All adorable. And we get a future glimpse of... a wedding for Futaro & one of the quints?!?! And now, they all five have declared their desire for the lad. Who will be the one Futaro sweeps off her feet? We've got 10 more volumes to go, so anything goes, & it's every girl for herself! Art, excellent. Dialogue, very touching at times, very nice. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable, & in the quint's places, so gosh darn adorable!
Honestly started reading this because I watched the anime a month ago, and I actually enjoyed it. From the outside, it may look like that this series is shallow, like the fact that five girls like one boy isn't really new to the manga/anime canon. However what makes this good is the way it was written. Eventhough I know what already happens in the volume (because like I said I watched the anime and the first season ended here) I still felt joy and giddy-ness towards the moments here. Now I'm excited to see how the story progresses from here on out. :)
Serinin kendinden beklenebilecek her şeyi sunmaya devam ediyor.
The Quintessential Quintuplets, Vol. 4 (My Kindle Review)
With the six on the their school camping trip, we see them adjust to share a room together as well as Dutaro and Ichika have an interesting time alone. Later, they all go skiing in the snow and a surprising development for the girls and their relationship with Futaro occurs. We also get another glimpse of the future wedding. A- (91%/Excellent)
I think this manga is slowly losing me. I hate the idea that all the sisters will fight to win the love of Futaru. And it's portrayed as normal and they have an understanding? Must be another fictional Japanese cultural BS. Next volume will probably determine whether I'll continue or not. I hope this petty cat fight won't happen.
This would be more like a 4.5 for me. It is by far the best volume in the series so far. We finally get some moments that show the characters emotions and true personalities. I was happy to see some honest discussions and moments about feelings and not being jerks for the sake of being jerks. I'm hoping that this trend continues with volume 5.
I've read up to volume; 6#: with an overall rating of: ★★☆☆☆ = 2.8
Miku is best girl. Everyone else is just annoying. Like, these couple volumes were filled with important plot points but they all fell flat for me. Definitely taking a break from these
More of a 3.5 star rating; I’m starting to get a bit annoyed at how Futaro gets found in a inappropriate position with one sister, but he other sisters. It’s a pattern than I’m getting tired of but aside from that, I enjoyed reading about the camping trip everyone went on.
Couple considerations: 1- Ichika is my favorite and Miku is my least favorite 2- Dying of curiosity to know how Nino’s background will turn out 3- Afraid of being deceived by the author about the wedding’s outcome.
I absolutely adored this, and jumped for joy it was gonna do the “invited two girls to the prom” trope so straight. The ending wasn’t as fun as I expected, but I still loved it. I was expecting heartbreak/comedy and instead kinda got introspection?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
One of the better volumes so far, but I’m still having a hard time enjoying this story. I’m hoping that by the later parts of the series atleast feel like the girls are all enjoyable characters and not all just caricatures.
