i am sat crying over three dogs i have never met but am feeling so much for their owner.

did not think this would be as great as it was! i have never read a book faster! wow wow wow!

the story that made me cry the hardest was sparta’s. i will expand when im at my computer!

now at a computer

it reminds me a lot of flush but i like how it was more loving than flush was.

i think a lot of my review is of the story (or in this case, stories) itself rather than the writing and such. it's so sweet reading about a woman's love for her dogs! my favorite bits were how obvious it is that the book is full of love and how she explored a different way of going about telling each dog's story. none are alike but all are beautifully portrayed.

i really liked how she went about captain's, writing it from his perspective. was very precious!

sparta just wanted to be a mother so bad and that's so woman it made me sob the entire time. like wow.

overall, an extremely precious and captivating read!

Incredibly moving book written with the most loving passion I’ve ever experienced. These pages are soaked with my tears.

My grandmother wrote this book, but that doesn’t have to be the case for this book to be a heartwarming and emotional read. My mother is “the girl in the green dress” featured on the cover and in one of the chapters :). It’s a super short book, I read it in about an hour. If you’re looking for a quick cry this is definitely worth reading.
