Now I know more about the Red Squirrel than I knew before after reading this book. We have lovely red squirrels in our backyard . This book focuses on the reds in Wales and the British isles. Beatrix Potter ‘s Squirrel Nutkin is mentioned as well as a vintage book - How I Tame the Wild Squirrels that the author purchased at a tag sale long ago. A delightful read and great photos!!

Brilliant, so informative..had never even heard of a "granivore" before! (Different to a herbivore in that they eat seeds, not graze on grass)

Would love to read the rest in the series
