James Francis Cameron is an Academy Award-winning Canadian-American director, producer and screenwriter. He is noted for his action/science fiction films, which are often highly innovative and financially successful. Thematically, James Cameron's films generally explore the relationship between humanity and technology. Cameron created the Terminator franchise, serving as co-writer and director for The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Later, he wrote and directed the film Titanic, which earned 11 Academy Awards and grossed over US$1.8 billion worldwide. To date, his directorial efforts have grossed approximately US$3 billion, unadjusted for inflation. After a string of landmark feature films including The Terminator, Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, The Abyss, and Titanic, Cameron turned his focus to documentary filmmaking and the co-development of the digital 3-D Fusion Camera System. He is currently working on a return to feature filmmaking with the science fiction film Avatar, which will make use of the Fusion Camera System technology. Avatar is scheduled for release in December of 2009.

فیلم نابودگر 2 رو اولین بار وقتی هفت ساله بودم دیدم، از اینجا بود که آرنولد در نقش ربات تی هشتصد تبدیل به یکی از محبوب‌ترین قهرمان‌های دوران کودکیم (البته متقابلا ربات جیوه‌ای تی هزار هم یکی از کابوس‌هام بود). بعد از اون بارها و بارها فیلم رو بصورت کامل یا بریده‌های چند دقیقه‌ای دیدم، اما اولین بار همین چند روز پیش بود که با خودم فکر کردم یعنی این فیلم هیچ مفهوم خاصی نداشت و تنها یک اکشن علمی/تخیلی بی‌محتواست؟ اینجا بود که دو چیز درباره فیلم به ذهنم رسید

جیمز کامرون در مقام نوستراداموس
وقتی به زمان نگارش فیلمنامه نگاه می‌کنم، ایده فیلم بطور شگفت‌آوری بدیع بنظر می‌رسه. در زمان ساخته شدن اولین قسمت از مجموعه نابودگر در 35 سال پیش، مثل امروز خبری از کامپیوترها و وسیال دیجیتالی هوشمند و نرم‌افزارها نبود. نویسنده چطور تونسته یکی از خطرات بالقوه نابودی بشر در آینده دور - یعنی کسب خودمختاری هوش مصنوعی و تسلط بر بشر - رو انقدر دقیق پیش‌بینی کنه؟

پلوتوس در قرن دوم پیش از میلاد گفته بود: انسان، گرگِ انسان است. بعدها اراسموس و کمی معاصرتر، توماس هابز هم هر کدوم این جمله رو به شیوه و مقصودی بیان کردن. فیلم نابودگر بطرز خیلی هوشمندانه‌ای این جمله رو به تصویر می‌کشه. نابودگر واقعی ربات‌ها نیستن، انسان‌هایی هستن که این ربات‌ها رو ساختن و از روح خودشون در اون‌ها دمیدن

Composed of the final screenplay, complimentary images, artwork and comments from James Cameron, ‘Terminator 2: An Illustrated Screenplay’ feels cheaper than the pristine quality of its successor, ‘Titanic: The Illustrated Screenplay’.

Behind the ugly cover made on MS Paint, the fuzzy monochromatic images don’t serve the visual media being delivered. Otherwise, the commentary justifies the moments left on the cutting room floor at the cost of their technical implications. Fitting! Perhaps its most lucrative aspect is the unconventionally in-depth setting descriptors within James Cameron’s screenplay, marrying novel to script.

It’s a decent companion text to the film that could have been a treasure if a few more pennies were invested.

Just loved having this st I ll do great photographs screenplay excerpts if I rember
