Blindsided by Kellie McAllen a five-star read that will make you open your eyes and see the light In the world. This is the forth book in the Celestia Divisa Collection and quite possibly the most powerful story of the collection, this was written with sympathy and grace and really is an eye opening read if you will excuse the pun, each character tells their own story, but each story interacts with each other. The main characters in this they book are Rafael DiAngelo or Doc Rafe as he is lovingly known and Cece who is strong and independent and lives the life she wants with a little help from her sister Jessie and a little cutie named Dexter but only a little as Cece may be blind, but she doesn’t allow that to stop her living a full life. As a character Cece will fill you with inspiration, if she can manage everything she can, then so can we. This is a real inspiration of a story, thank you for having a such a great talent at writing.
This amazing story is about doctor and half-angel Rafael DiAngelo and Cece, who is blind but doesn't see this as a handicap. This was such an amazing and lovely story.
Kellie McAllen, has fast become one of my favourite authors. Every novel written by her, has a well defined beginning, middle and end. She manages to engage me from the first word to the last. Healing Hands plots are realistic and this story involves purity, love, innocence, hurt, mis-trust, loneliness, faith, amongst many others. The dialogue comes mainly from the 2 main characters, which made it feel more real, I got carried along on there journey Feeling every emotion they went through. I was in tears at some points. That in itself is a talent not all writers can achieve. I have always received some sort of moral guidance when I have finished any in this series, it is not something that is forced upon you in the story telling, just something I feel at the end, and I thank Kellie McAllen for reminding me. This is a lovely story, I like that it includes a peek at previous main characters From the previous books in this series. I would definitely recommend it to Readers from YA upwards. I certainly couldn't put it down.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book was better, in terms of writing, because the characters were older and fit the writing style better. It was less cliche and cringe-worthy than the previous three. However, it also didn't fit with the previous three as much. The rest of the series is called the 'teen angel romance series', however this one is simply 'angel romance series', because in this book the characters aren't teenagers. So it didn't really make sense to me to include this with the other three. And the angel this book centres around was only introduced very briefly in the third book, so it didn't really make sense for him to get his own book since he wasn't a main character. So while this book was probably the best in terms of writing, it also didn't seem completely necessary to me.
Healing Hands is the fourth book in the Celestia Divisa series by Kellie McAllen and this can be read as a standalone.
Once again I'm bowled over by Kellie's storytelling and writing style. This book is a perfect addition to the series that focuses on Doc Rafe, a Celestia Divisa with the gift of healing. He met a blind woman called CeCe and is drawn to her in every way.
CeCe has never been in a relationship before but she felt something different about Rafe. They complement each other very well and everything was going well for them when CeCe uncovered a secret of Rafe's.
Eventually there was a happy ever after ending to this book and I'm so glad to have had the chance to read and review Healing Hands.
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
I received a free review copy of this book. CeCe is a blind woman. She became blind after suffering a trauma when she was a little girl. Luckily for her, she has the help of her sister Jessica. CeCe is happy being blind and use her experience to help other people with problems. Rafe is a teacher and a doctor but even more important than that, he is a Celestia, half man and half angel. Celestias have different gifts and his is healing. This is the first book I read of this series and I absolutely loved it. It’s a sweet clean romance. A beautiful story with wonderful characters you fall in love with from the very beginning.
Such a wonderful book! The series continues and this is Dr. Rafael DiAngelo’s story. When he meets a strong, beautiful woman who is blind, he can’t resist trying to help her. The only problem is, CeCe doesn’t see her blindness as a disability, and she resents doctors who think they know best. This is a delicious romance, a little different from the previous books in the best way! The characters are fully developed; the story is a lovely mix of angst and delight and of course has the perfect happily ever after. I highly recommend this book.
I have just finished reading the first four Celestia books and I absolutely loved them. Please consider this a review too all four (and I hope there will be more.)
They are labelled young adult but don't be fooled. They can be read and enjoyed by anyone of any age. These half-angels, male or female, young or older, meet their future mate. But that's far from the end of a wonderful story. I won't spoil it for you. Read it for yourself. You won't be sorry. You're in for a wonderful treat.
Great read. Well written, with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. Doc Rafe is half Angel. He is at a coffee shop and notices CeCe she is blind and Rafe wants to help her. CeCe has been blind since she was young. She does not see her blindness as a disability, she lives life to the fullest. She also does not like doctors because they are meddlesome and want to run tests. Will Rafe's desire to heal her push them apart, or will they find something to hold onto? I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I get up at 4:30 every morning to get my husband off to work and usually lie back down for a while, but I started reading Healing Hands and couldn't stop. I finished it that morning, and loved it!! I intend to read her other books now. Kellie McAllen has a talent for writing and bringing her characters alive. This book is well worth reading!!
I really enjoyed reading this book. In this story, CeCe faces life head on, despite the fact that she suffers from hysterical blindness. Rafe meets her and is blown away by her beauty and kind spirit, and we get to witness another sweet Celestia Divisa romance. If you are a fan of angels and overcoming the adversity a disability can present, you will enjoy reading this book.
A lovely Christian romance story about CeCe a blind woman who falls in love with a doctor but she doesn’t know his a doctor. Rafe is a loveable man of God who falls in love with CeCe but he wants to heal her with the power of being half angel and half human anything is possible. Really enjoyed this story!
I really liked all the characters in this book and the story-line, too. I liked the idea of Celestia Divisas being around us. Rafael and CeCe were wonderful characters. I definitely recommend this book and I will read more by this author.
There are not enough words on this lovely, touching story. Raef and CeCe's story is just beautiful. This is the first story I have read about Celestial Divinity. I cannot wait to read more.
Loved this book. I got to continue to see characters from previous books in series and meet new ones. Lovely story with no embarrassing moments. Just nice clean reading. Recommend to anyone that enjoys sweet romances. And you don't have to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one.
Healing Hands is the fourth installment in the Celestia Divisa series by Kellie McAllen. Although this book is a part of the Celestia Divisa series, it could be read as a standalone. However, because the characters from previous books are mentioned and have small roles in the story, it's better to read them in order. It is the story of Dr. Rafael DiAngelo and CeCe Bellamy. CeCe has been suffering from hysterical blindness since a horrible incident in her childhood. She has a phobia of and hatred for all doctors, because so many have called her blindness an act and said she is faking it to get attention. CeCe has become a motivational speaker, and is almost completely independent. She only depends on her sister to make sure she is well groomed and well dressed. She is even able to get around Indianapolis with only the help of her guide dog Dexter and a phone app that helps her navigate. She has given up hope of ever being in a romantic relationship, but then she meets Dr. Rafael DiAngelo in a coffee shop.
Rafael is stunned by the beauty of the blind woman he meets. He really wants to get to know her, but how will he tell her that he is a medical doctor instead of holding a Ph.D.? Because they both had other commitments, they had to cut short their first meeting, before he could tell her that in addition to being a professor, he also works in a clinic. The longer he puts it off, the harder it becomes to tell her the truth. When it finally comes out unexpectedly, their relationship may not be able to handle it.
There is a third person in this story who plays a major part in Rafe and CeCe's relationship: an eight year old orphan named Emily, who is also suffering from hysterical blindness. Both Rafe and CeCe are drawn to her, both wishing to build a relationship with her and each wishing they could adopt her. When Rafael and CeCe's relationship gets stressed, will either of them be able to take in this needy little girl?
I've read all four of the books in this series, and in my opinion this one is the best to date. Maybe because the characters in the other three books are teens, and this was more about adults and the way they develop their relationship differs from the priorities of teens. I thought the issues that Rafael and CeCe dealt with to be realistic for people who would be in that kind of situation: I.e. untruthfulness in a relationship. I also identified with the feelings that CeCe was developing for Rafe, and the crushing blow of finding out that he hadn't told her all the pertinent information about himself. Finally, I identified with their feelings for Emily. I've also had my heart broken by a sick child before and wished there was something I could do. The characters, especially the main three characters, are well developed as are the situations they find themselves in. The feelings brought out in this book are very realistic, and the way they work them out is true to life. I really enjoyed reading this book. There were only a few minor errors in punctuation mostly, and those didn't detract at all from the story. I will definitely keep these books on my (virtual) bookshelf, and will read them again. I voluntarily read an ARC version of this book. I've voluntarily submitted an honest review, which is not biased by the fact that the book was free.
Healing Hands is the fourth book in the Celestia Divisa Collection authored by Kellie McAllen; a great addition to this series. Rafael DiAngelo is a healer in more ways than one. Although, skilled as a doctor, Rafe is not fully human. He is half angel and a member of the Celestia Divisa. Single, focused on his healing arts and teaching at the university, Rafe has not found his mate. Meanwhile, upon meeting CeCe, blinded since a young child, Rafe feels he must help her. As a result of their growing closeness, Rafe knows Cece is the one for him.
Cece experienced a traumatic childhood and resents doctors; they all wanted to fix her. Cece does not feel she needs fixing. She is fine just as she is. She does not consider herself handicapped by her blindness. Rafe is keeping secrets from Cece which could ruin everything. Can Cece and Rafe overcome Cece’s resentment? Will Rafe’s need to fix Cece tear them apart? Can a child bring healing to these worthy people?

CHARACTER, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
At the heart of Healing Hands, the reader will find deep faith and caring. As a result, author Kellie McAllen presents the deep love God has for the human race by providing angels with varying talents. Angels, celestial beings, taken on faith, neither seen or heard. Yet as humans, we believe angels exist. McAllen proposes an intriguing premises and builds the Celestia Divisa from this premise. Also, McAllen has filled the Celestia Divisa with varied secondary characters which she developed skillfully.
With well-developed characters and well-defined writing, the reader finds great enjoyment in Healing Hands. Consequently, leaving the reader with a feeling of complete satisfaction. McAllen crafted a clean sweet romance filled with emotion. Also, the pace is smooth as it gathers speed towards a surprising ending.
Finally, in concluding my paranormal romance novel review of Healing Hands, I found the author had no need of fluff to increase the page count of her book. Also, Healing Hands demonstrates sex is unnecessary to sell a well written story-line. I would not hesitate to buy Healing Hands for myself or a friend. Furthermore, I found Healing Hands suitable for anyone who loves a relaxing, sweet, clean romance novel with paranormal elements.
HEALING HANDS RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4
In addition, I gave Healing Hands four well-deserved stars. The reader will find solid writing, a creative story-line, and well-developed characters. I look forward to the next installment in this series.

I love discovered I enjoy reading about the Celestia Divisa. They are half angel and half human. I enjoy reading Kellie McAllen books. I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy. Rafe is a doctor. He is is half angel half human. From the moment he sees CeCe in the coffee shop he is smitten. She is so beautiful and confident. So self assured. CeCe is a strong and independent woman despite being blind. She does NOT see her blindness as a handicap or something that has to be changed in order to be happy and lead a fun filled fulfilling life. Just because she can't see with her eyes. Doesn't make her blind. She goes does get asked to share this message. That blindness doesn't mean unhappiness and not all bad. As she has been both vision and being blind. I love how independent CeCe is. Her sister Jessica totally has her back. She's there to help her sister. The love story of Dr Rafe and CeCe moves along. So upbeat and positive. Rafe believes he has found his soul mate. His forever in her. He was given the gift of healing. He believes he can cure CeCe's blindness. If she will just allow him to. He can't comprehend why she is fine being blind. CeCe does not see her blindness as a disability. She is happy and has a good life. I love the message CeCe gives that "all our parts make us whole..even the yucky ones. That all make us into who we are. Shaped by our experiences". I found Rae and CeCe to be work well and compliment one another. I adore HEA. I recommend this book to anyone. My now 13yo daughter has decided life is all about "Love stories". She wants everything HEA. The message is still resonating with me. That we are fine with how we are. That makes our experiences which enables us to be who we become. We are good enough as we are. CeCe can still see. Just not with her eyes. Her other senses are compensating. Like she recognizes the cologne that Rafe wears I enjoy Kellie McAllen books. I look forward to reading more books of hers in the future.
Another great Celestia Divisa story. I loved the story and the characters. CeCe is very interesting, even having faced adversities as a young woman, she has managed to overcome the barriers imposed by her blindness and succeed. And Rafe, there's no way we can't fall in love with him from the first moment, he's very special! And when little Emily comes into the story, things get even more interesting. I just loved this story! And I wish we had more about Rafe and CeCe, as well as Jessica, CeCe's sister. I highly recommend this story, as well as the entire Celestia Divisa Collection. I received a copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
Healing Hands is a beautiful sweet romance with soul. I loved that CeCe is a strong, capable, independent woman who just happens to be blind. Too often a person with a disability is portrayed as less than whole. Their disability defines them instead of them being a person in spite of their disability. Rafe is everything I would expect of a Celestia Divisa: good, honest, pure. I loved the ending. True love conquers all. Emily is such a sweetheart.
If you are looking for a romance to lose yourself in, definitely read Healing Hands. I can't wait to see what happens next in this fabulous series
My first book by Kellie McAllen. Boy what a great read. I wasn't sure I would like this book . I don't normally read Paranormal stories. I am so glad I ventured out of the box for this one. It was a wonderful sweet love story. Very believable and entertaining. It took me all over the place, I was laughing one minute, crying the next and I must say never bored. Can't wait to try another by this same author.
Wow, once again Kellie has managed to do it again and actually this series just keeps getting better and better. Rafael is a great character and has such a beautiful soul and CeCe is simply a woman who despite what tragedy has thrown at her, has become a strong and charismatic woman. Together these two are a beautiful couple and despite some bumps in the road, Kellie is able to once again write a beautiful and compelling story. As always there are some characters introduced who you would like to see more of, and of course a few of the previous characters emerge throughout and this once leaves you with a slight cliff hanger but that only leave you eager for the next book in the series which I can't wait to read!
Just remember that once you start this book you won't be able to put it down so be prepared and give yourself plenty of time so you can read it in one go like I was able to! You don't need to have read the previous books in the series but it certainly helps you if you have read the previous books so you will know who the characters are....and of course the other books are great to read anyway!
Doc Rafe saw the cute blonde in the coffee shop as she placed her order. Watching her interact with the barista, he eventually realized that she was blind. Rafe was a half-angel, put on this Earth to help humans in need. He was immediately drawn to this girl, CeCe. He wondered about her condition. They sat together drinking coffee and getting to know each other.
Rafael had the gift of healing, plus a little more spiritual talent. He wanted to heal CeCe, but she lives life to the fullest and doesn’t want to be “fixed” when she feels complete as she is. Will Rafe’s secret and desire to heal her push them apart? Or will two beautiful souls find something precious to hold onto?
This book was so uplifting! A wealth of detailed description helps the reader imagine the scenes in the book. The character development pulls in thoughts and emotions and paints a beautiful picture of each of them. The story line was beautiful and so well done, every page a joy to read! I highly recommend this book for the beautiful experience it will give to you. The author has done her job very well indeed!
