1. Remember Me is told from a grandmother about how she is forgetting things and how her granddaughter, Ellie, helps her remember. It starts with Ellie asking her grandma to take her to the park, the shops and to watch the ships come in but her grandmother is afraid that she will forget her house and how to get back to it. Ellie tries to help her grandma remember by writing notes and making knots in her handkerchief, but Ellie is afraid that her grandma will forget her. As Ellie asks grandma to remember her grandma does by remembering Ellie at various stages of her life, which gives grandma the courage to do the things she was scared to do.
2. Some themes in the book are family relationships and changes that come with age.
3. I enjoyed this book because it was relatable to me as my grandmother has dementia and I too have had to help her remember things.
4. I would recommend this book because it gives children insight to a far off age range that is sometimes boring to them. It would also be a good book for kids who have grandparents with dementia or Alzheimer's because it would help them understand that they can't help forgetting and it does sometimes keep them from doing fun stuff because they get scared too.
