From USA Today bestselling author Layla Frost comes a twisty fantasy novel about fated mates, evil, and a spicy take on magicks…

I was cursed.

It wasn’t an exaggeration. It wasn’t even dramatics—though I was prone to those.

It was a fact.

And a sucky one at that.

After inheriting my grandmother’s home, I thought my luck had turned around. A fresh start in the one place I’d found solace from my cruel father.

But I was cursed, remember? So rather than a quiet life, I faced mysteries. Con artists. Disastrous dates. Stoned witches, magicks, and evil organizations out to do evil things.

And a house that was haunted.

Only my ghost wasn’t a creepy specter with rattling chains. Nor was it a murderous Victorian child. It wasn’t even a comedic ghoul trying to scare me out of the house with a possessed singalong.

That would be too easy.

My invisible squatter was snarky. Pop culture obsessed. Disconcertingly charming with a voice that was otherworldly hot.

And not actually a ghost.

He wasn’t completely human, either.

But that was okay. Apparently, neither was I…

Warning: Recommended for readers 18+ due to strong adult language, themes, and lovin’ so good, it must be magicks.

Growing up, Layla Frost used to hide under her blanket with a flashlight to read the Sweet Valley High books she pilfered from her older sister. It wasn’t long before she was reading hidden Harlequins during class at school. This snowballed into pulling all-nighters after the promise of “just one more chapter”.

Her love of reading, especially the romance genre, took root early and has grown immeasurably until it was time to write her own stories.

When she's not writing, Layla Frost is an insomniac with a deep love of iced coffee, tchotchkes, plants, and her hens. She's also the world's okayest mom, but her kids think she's cool... ish.

“I’d die a million deaths before I let her go.”

Styx is book one in the brand new series, The Four, by Layla Frost. I haven’t read many books by Layla but the ones I have read have completely wowed me! I read that this is her first paranormal book and I just can’t believe that! This book has everything that makes a book great, for me anyway. Mystery, danger, an amazing heroine and a very sexy hero. Fantastic secondary characters! There is danger and plenty of heat! I smiled, swooned, sighed and gasped. I highlighted a bunch of quotes and it is so hard to decide which ones to include here.

woman with white blonde hair

Haden (Denny) Underwood had a heartbreaking childhood. But despite it all, she has somehow grown into a strong, independent, happy woman. Her best friend since elementary school is Lula who is engaged to the love of her life, Chase. These two are pretty much the only friends of Denny’s and they are amazing. Denny has inherited her grandmother’s house. It’s her only connection to the only person that showed her love while growing up. She has had little instances of feeling a presence but tries to ignore it. Until she hears him. He speaks and what a voice he has. It makes her toes curl. At first she thinks she’s going crazy and hearing voices. But soon realizes that isn’t the case, that he is there with her.

“My life was nothing but unsolvable mysteries and chaos.”

#capitivating

He has been stuck in the house for hundreds of years, it has been his prison. He didn’t know who he was or why he was stuck here in this prison. Then she moved in. He couldn’t deny the connection he felt to her, the attraction. If only he could speak to her or that she could see him. All he wanted to do was touch her.

“For hundreds of years, I’ve viewed this place as a prison. Now it’s my paradise. Even if I had my freedom, I’d remain here.”

The connection between Denny and the voice who is named Nate, gets stronger and Nate’s ability grows. As long as he’s with her, he’s able to follow her from the house. Then she heard him! She actually could hear him!

“Am I a dream? No. You’re a fantasy.”

At first all Denny wants is to get rid of the voice. But when he isn’t around, she misses him. He’s become important to her. The connection, the bond, between these two, grows stronger but the mystery deepens as to who he is and why he is here in her house.

“In all my time on this earth, I’ve never seen anything or anyone as beautiful as you. I could look at you for all eternity and still feel as though I were seeing you for the first time.”

sexy times

I’m going to stop here because basically, I wanted for you to see the connection between these two. As the mystery unfolds, more characters are added. You will meet Juno who is another amazing supporting friend to Denny, and of course, there is going to be evil. This book is a page turner. It’s one of those books that you can’t put down because you need answers and can’t stand not knowing. And wow is there heat! The chemistry between these two burns up the pages. All I can say is that you NEED to read this book! I am so excited to see what comes next!

“The burden of my life was worth the reward of her.”
“An eternity and the next may not be enough.”

Holy heck! Holy freaking heck! I am completely stunned and staggered by not only the ending of this book but everything leading up to it. How does anyone come up with this stuff? This wonderful, amazing, stuff? Obviously Layla Frost has the ability within her twisted mind.

description

First, I’ll warn you against reading reviews that give too much away. I went into this as blind as possible with nothing more than the blurb to lead me. I refused to read excerpts or teasers and it was torture. But I’m so glad I did. I loved experiencing the wild ride of this story as it unfolded. It was one crazy revelation after another and I loved every exhilarating moment of it.

With plenty of mystery shrouding these characters there was never a dull moment. Denny was the type of heroine I could totally relate to. With the exception of her past. She is feisty and independent but very broken deep within, in a place few know of. Nate was charming and sweet, protective and swoon worthy. I loved that once he saw Denny he was all in for her. However, it’s a complicated relationship. Steamy and hot with the culmination actually being a slow burn, but still…complicated.

description

I couldn’t read this book fast enough and I was so darn aggravated by life and work getting in the way. I mean, come on! There was never a good place to stop because every place was too good to stop! It was quite annoying really when I had to bookmark it. I needed to know the what, who, where, and…what the heck?!

Styx is filled with lots of twists and turns as well as surprises that will take you completely by…well surprise. There is never a dull moment or a long passage you want to skim. The pacing is smooth and the writing fresh with that touch of humor this author is known for. The secondary characters are exceptional as they help to carry the story even as they support the hero and heroine. I loved them almost as much as the hero and heroine and yet they never stole the spotlight.

This is the first paranormal romance by this author and she did an incredible job of it. It ends with a happy for now and the next book will revolve around another couple and I cannot wait for it to get here. I’m already deeply in love with Denny and Nate and I’m ready to see where this storyline goes from here because I suspect this ride has just gotten started.

This gets my double whammy heroine praise. Not only was Denny sassy, which I love, but she was also pretty kick ass! 9 times out of 10, I read books for the hero, but Layla Frost's books give me that coveted 1% of heroine awesomeness.

I'm not going to reveal a whole lot for this book because you get one shot in this series to be surprised and this book is that one shot. You'll be in the know for the next book. What I can say is this was a super fun book.

Per my mention above, the heroine was highly entertaining. I adored her relationship with her best friend and they had me giggling. A lot. There is some sadness in the very beginning when you learn how Denny grew up but it's important and it ties into what you learn later to see how special she is.

Our Hero, which I will leave nameless for now, is super hot! He's unique, a badboy to the extreme but also gentle and kind. He listened to Denny and handled her with care. It's an intriguing combination in a hero. I could read about these two and never get bored. After learning his history, I am really looking forward to learning more about him and Denny in the upcoming books.

As for side characters, I've already mentioned my love of the best friend but her fiance was pretty awesome himself. This is a couple in the sidelines that have the kind of love you want to read in your main characters. Then there is Juno. That chick is crazy and I can't wait for her book. She is going to spice things up for sure.

I admit, I am left with a few questions but I think they will get answered as the series continues. I can not wait for the the next book!

This felt like a rom-com paranormal TV show, very TVD, supernatural, the orginals coded but more lighthearted? It's fun but predictable; cute but had some cringy moments here and there.

Intrigued enough to read book 2 though.

I do eventually get to the nitty-gritty…

***4.5 Stars***

I can take or leave “spoilers” to be honest. If I have a trusted author releasing a book, I don’t want to know ANYTHING about what’s next/going on. Layla Frost is in this category and I know that every book will be a surprise. I don’t even want to see the ratings of other readers before it hits my Kindle. But, If I’m curious or tempted by a new author, I need to know a little more before I even contemplate buying.

So, this is a review for readers who, like me, can take or leave “spoilers” but may want to know a little before going in. If you want to go in blind, then, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU STILL READING FOR? If you’re a curious person, new reader or spoiler lover, please proceed but know that I’m not going to give it all away. I am going to give you something, though and it is the one thing that made me hesitate to LOVE this book from the start.

Now that I have that off my chest…here we go.

I LOVE paranormal romance but the one type that never really does it for me is stories with ghosts. Not that I'm saying this is a ghost story, BUT, that cover did make me go along the path that there may be a ghostly type of hero. I just don't know how the heck you fall in love with someone you can never touch? Sure, you can have a level of love that can leave you somewhat satisfied, but for me, I need touch. So, I started Styx wondering how the heck am I supposed to fall in love with a man who’s not there? And, I NEED to love my hero.

So, here’s my big and brash spoiler…he can and will touch!! And, Holy Shamoly, he can TOUCH (HUBBA HUBBA!!)

Now, I’ll take likes and loves for that big and brash spoiler, because, you know, I’m here for you. I’ve got your back. I won’t steer you down a wonky path...well not too wonky.

OK, now that’s done, let’s talk storytime. Styx was bloody awesome, but then again, it was written by one of my favourite writers, so I knew it was going to be bloody awesome. The characters were original, funny and very entertaining. The storyline, once it got going, was exciting, sexy and pulled at my heart. The additional characters enhanced Styx and made it come alive for me. The goodies were so good I wanted to keep them for myself. The baddies, I wanted to see suffer and pay for their dastardly deeds. I definitely ended Styx wanting more.

I absolutely loved Denny and her kooky ways. I kind of think a little of Layla Frost is in Denny. Not saying Layla’s kooky or anything (MUCH) but when you meet Denny, you get the feeling she’s a real person. I haven’t “met” Layla (she hasn’t bothered to visit me here in Australia…YET) but we’ve “known” each other for years. Of course, I could be totally off base but I just get the impression that Denny was created to let Layla’s kooky flag fly.

OMG!! Look at me rambling AGAIN!!!

So, let’s get to the nitty-gritty. I loved Denny and her long-time relationship with her best friend. Her new witchy friend is AWESOME!! Her dad was a DOUCHEWAFFLE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS! Her past relationships and the nightmare dates she went on were hilarious. I loved Denny’s independence but hated that she’s had so much time alone. She deserved so much more and I’m glad she found someone to take away her loneliness.

This brings us to Nate. Holy Heaven and Hell…I really loved getting to know Nate. I’m going to stop here, though. Sure I gave you a big and brash spoiler but, I kind of think you need to meet Nate yourself and get to know him in a proper way. You know, like a formal introduction, meet and greet…see inside his head, kind of way.

Now, this story was almost perfect for me. My only wee problem was that it took too long to get to the good parts. Sure, I know a series needs an intro into the world, meet the people and set the scene, but, I’m a really impatient bugger and I just wanted to get to it already. Honestly, it’s worth the wait and I LOVED the second half of the story. I just wanted the heart-pumping, earth-shattering excitement to come sooner.

I really enjoyed Styx and I can’t wait for more. Layla Frost writes a thoroughly entertaining story packed with intrigue and excitement. We get treated to a hero that’s the full package. The heroine is funny, a little kooky, strong and smart. The sexy times are HOT!!! From the very beginning, you can tell there’s a serious connection. That first touch was electric and you knew that they were perfect for each other.

Denny and Nate are happy for now but it’s obvious that their story will continue. If I’m reading things right, the absolutely lovable witchy friend will be up next and after that little bomb at the end, it’s going to be very, very interesting.

Sorry for the rambling. You know how I get sometimes. xoxoxo

I knew I liked this author for a reason!

Well, wasn't this fuuuunn!

This book was more romance than UF, the plot part is only now starting (and what a good story it will be). It's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, I wanted a bit more action when it comes to the big picture.

You know how UFs work, right? There's a mystery to solve that uncovers a bigger, save-the-world kind of plot. Well, we discovered the plot, all right. And how I loved the spinoff, we have . They're definitely not how they're portrayed throughout history and any other story you read about them.

Anyway, the characters were fun and easy to like and had great chemistry; it made me really curious about the next book (although unfortunately, there are only two books out for now, so I'll have to wait a bit to see the plot).

So if you're looking for a romance with a bit of PNR/UF, this is the series you must stop at.
Layla Frost is awesome when it comes to writing and it's definitely worth reading her books (or at least giving them a try).

1 puny star and DNF@50%

Are there two Layla Frosts? because I either love her books or loathe them entirely. One one side, she writes these deep characters like With Us or Give in, and the other has these annoying caricatures that think theyre in a rom com.

Lets start off that the first 25% of the book; it's the heroine going out on badly written dates with caricature-esque type wimpy/clueless men. And then for the next ten or so pages you get to hear a very long recap of the date *you just read about 3 pages before* with her annoying fairy godmother best friend. And OF COURSE the BFF's advice is "you just need to get laid, silly." The hero of the story has yet to make an appearance, and when he finally does come into the story, you have to sit through pages and pages and PAGES of the heroines inner turmoil/best friend gossip.

Everything was just bad. The description makes you think youre going into a darker book but its all just fluff and sad rainbows, because the heroine is 'cursed' but shes cutely optimistic and stubborn as an ox. *said with sarcasm*

I would read three pages, get cringed out by something weird the heroine would say that would come out of left field, and then put it down again. Im sure other people will love this, but I just hate this type of writing, where actions and personalities are over exaggerated and theres no development to the romance part of the story. Adding this to the growing pile of 2018 romance.

5 ‘ Holy mother of MYSTERIES’ Stars

THIS BOOK! Seriously, this book will knock your socks off! In the most paranormal and surprising of ways! It sure did to me and I loved every second of it! Refreshing, funny, smoking hot and just BRILLIANT!

I’ll do something very Un-Gi like here and keep it very short because for once in a very, very long time – if ever – I’ll tell you you need to go into this gem that is Styx ABSOLUTELY BLIND on all things. You seriously just need to know you will no doubt be shocked, wowed and most of all fall in LOVE with these characters and stories and in the end you will be, like myself, begging the author for book two. And three. And four! That’s how brilliant this story is!

“In all my time on this earth, I’ve never seen anything or anyone as beautiful as you. I could look at you for all eternity and still feel as though I were seeing you for the first time.”

Believe me when I say that the DISCOVERY of the storyline, and specially the characters and the mystery surrounding their identity is half the enjoyment of this book. Of course, I can say that Layla Frost’s hilariously funny heroine’s thoughts and lines are absolutely present as is Ms. Frost’s trademark deliciously Alpha hero, even if an unconventional one like this one – but normal is just SO overrated, right?! LOL – as jealous/possessive as they come, and the captivating and thrilling development that added with all the mysteries, just completely hook you and make you read this in one sitting.

“Now, never threaten to take away your touch again, or I’ll take that to mean you aren’t as addicted to me as I am to you. I’ll be forced to keep you in bed until we fix that.”

And when ALL is revealed and in the open, you will thank me for going in blind, because I want you to be just as surprised and shocked by the revelation as I was. And I’never surprised by a twist. Never! So kudos to Layla Frost for achieving that! So dive right now, as spoiler-free as humanly possible (believe me, I know the sacrifice, I’m a huge spoiler wh@re myself), and ENJOY all the twists and turns! Absolutely fitting for this Halloween week, and and the mystery appropriate and SO WORTH IT!

A truly unforgettable PNR story, that this PNR lover here can honestly say, like I’ve NEVER read before!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Ps. And yes, I’m already stalking for book two, which I NEED now!!!

“I’d die a million deaths before I let her go.”

This one was OK. A little slow and boring. I think the first part of the book could have been tightened up. I didn't need to read 500 pages of bad dates, how horny the heroine was, and vibrator talk...but whatevs. I enjoyed it enough to still check out the second book.

5+++ stars!! So I’m a fan of this author for sure, but this book, HOLY HELL (no pun intended). I loved this book from the first page to the last, every word. Nate is the absolute perfect hero. I loved Denny just as much which is saying something. This book had me laughing and swooning. The secondary characters were fantastic and added ALOT to the story. I can’t wait for Juno’s book. And I’ll just say the cover is amazing!!

WOWSA! This one's definitely a 2018 Favourite!!!

Going in blind for this one was the best decision I ever made. My almost 3am bedtime should tell you how much I loved it. I could not put it down. Such a fresh story - a really amazing book that had me reading as fast as I possibly could. I was asked to proofread but I was LOVING it so hard that I ended up having to read it twice (no hardship mind you) because I was reading so quickly that I knew I'd missed typos.

I haven't been this giddy reading a book in a loooooong time. I was smiling. I was squirming. I was laughing super hard. I had those anxious chest flutters. I was in reader heaven.

I'm not sure what I classify this one as - it's got some witches and "others" (who are a little not-quite so human), but I don't want to give too much away cause it will ruin the story and the surprise. So if you're open to yours characters being a little "more" then trust me. Grab it. Read it. And PM me so we can talk about it.

Not as good as I remember I LOVE the hero still, but I just got annoyed at the hero and her masturbating or thinking about sex for more than half the book. It got super repetitive and cringy and made her seem super shallow. Definitely could have done without all that

3.75 Stars

First half was super slow and a bit boring. I did almost start skimming, so down a star for that, and then down a quarter of a star because the heroine was way too s*x crazed for me with too many mentions of dildos and vibrators and it was just OTT. But the rest of the book I completely loved. When the story actually picked up and the hero fully appeared is when it really got good, and I started enjoying everything more that I didn't even care for in the first half, such as the humor.

I liked all the characters so I will definitely be reading the next book. The heroine's friendship with her BFF and her BFF's fiance is legit friendship goals too. Although it's hard to believe that they would believe everything so easily, I also liked how the author didn't put too much emphasis on it for drama.

The MCs relationship was the best part though. I love how obsessed the hero is with the heroine, and also really possessive and protective, but not OTT about it. He was always trying to find some way to touch her and it was just the cutest. The heroine was only okay at times, but she grew on me, especially as their relationship grew too.

Overall, it had its faults, but I still really enjoyed this book, and was totally NOT expecting it to be about the 4 horsemen and their soul mates with a spin to it. I have been wanting a female horseman book forever so I cannot wait to read the next one!

Don't know why the book is named "Styx". Totally misleading.

Characters were bland, totally not dark, too happy, too sweet. Everything just went smoothly.

And I don't want to read about Heroine going on "dates" with horrible, horrible men. It wasn't funny, it wasn't witty. I just got upset that the Heroine didn't grow a pair and put a stop to these things.

I just had a totally different book in mind. This one read like a funny rom-com. And I was prepared for something darker, mysterious, underworldly.

And what's with this ending? Too abrupt, without an epilogue. Happy end for now. Next book features another couple. Just read there will be an "EPIC" Epilogue at the end of this series.

After reading the first book in "The Four Horsemen" by Laura Thalassa, this read like a kid-friendly, not so serious version.

Sorry to say that this wasn't working for me. At all.

I’m a lucky, lucky girl who got introduced to Denny and Nate awhile ago when I beta read Styx. I don’t rate beta reads but you need to read this. Quirky, sexy, and fresh, this was a whole new genre for Layla and she freaking nailed it. I can’t wait to get Juno’s book in my greedy little hands.

I went into this book blind. The only knowledge I had was that it was a paranormal romance. I had no expectations except that I knew it was going to be epic because that's what Layla Frost always delivers. My expectations were not only exceeded, they were blown out of the water. No, out of the stratosphere. No, out of this DIMENSION.

There are so many twists and turns, that by the end of the book, my eyes were as wide as saucers and I was whispering 'what the fuck?!' every other page. By the time I got to the end, I realized that all the hints and clues I needed had been cleverly sprinkled throughout the book. You know that feeling you got when you watched The Sixth Sense and wondered why you hadn't figured it out sooner because the ending suddenly made it all seem so obvious even though it never really was because it was so sneakily disguised? Yeah, it was like that.

I really don't want to give away any spoilers because it really is best that you go in blind to fully appreciate the tale. All I can say is that you won't be disappointed. In fact, I'm willing to bet you'll be wildly impressed.

If you're already a Frost fan, this book is very different than anything else she's written, but it is so amazingly perfect, and I KNOW you will love it.

Denny, our heroine, is quirky, hilariously funny, inappropriate, loving, and vulnerable. (Classic Frost.) I want to be her best friend.

Our hero is a mysterious, possessive alpha, though he is NOT an alphahole. He's also unintentionally funny in his outdated pop culture references.

I cannot EVEN right now. That's how phenomenal this book is. I can't wait for the next in this series, because Juno is my spirit animal.

Only made it to 44%. This had a great funny heroine but the storyline was bland. The hero up to the point I stopped reading had never materialized so to speak.

I’m gonna have to find something short and smexy after this.

Oh my god I want MORE! That ending!

So I’m not going to lie, I went in 100% Blind to this book, I didn’t read blurbs or teasers or anything before starting. Layla Frost is an automatic one click, must have it now and devour it as soon as possible author for me so I decided to just let the story surprise me...

And holy wow. I went in so Blind I didn’t even realise it was a paranormal... but I wasn’t disappointed at all. The storyline was unique and interesting with enough questions and twists to keep you guessing. Nate and Denny were super hot and I loved all of the side characters.

I cannot wait for more of this series.

Such a mysterious start to this new series!

I was reading a few reviews because the blurb wasn't giving me any info on what the story is about. I thought it was going to be a dark kidnapping story and that's not usually my thing, so I was hunting through reviews to get some idea, but since it is newly released there weren't too many reviews. The ones that were out there didn't give anything away. Since I did like some books by Layla Frost I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did!

I won't give it any info about the story except it isn't a dark read, and it falls into the paranormal romance genre. I will also say that although there is an HEA, it looks like there will be an arc that spans the series so these books should be read in order. That said, I need Layla Frost to write faster so I know what happens next!

I wish I could somehow convey the dazed state I sat in after reading this book. You know how some authors have a certain writing style or genre that they stick to? And when they stray from their wheelhouse, it shows? Yeah, Layla Frost is not that author. Every book that she has done is different from the last (Styx is PNR; "Give In' is taboo/with some D/s; "With Us" is mafia, etc.), yet each story has Heroines that are likable, strong, funny and quirky without being annoying, Heroes that are strong, devoted, interesting and DEVOTED (yes, I said it twice, because it deserves to be mentioned again), and story lines that just draw you in and keeps you interested.

I FLOVED the Heroine, Denny. I hated her circumstances, but loved her resilience, her sense of humor, her love of books and especially her friendship with Lula. Denny is the girl I would actively seek out and want to be friends with because you just KNOW that she'd not only accept you, but celebrate the quirks.

Nate, for obvious reasons once you get into the story, was harder to get a handle on, but MAN, he is a great example of what I see as a true Alpha. He gets s%!t done, is protective, proactive, thoughtful and RESPECTFUL OF DENNY'S WISHES. He doesn't steam roll her or hide things even when he thinks it will cause him pain and loss.

The story itself was frustrating in the beginning because I went in cold and was completely chomping at the bit to find out what was going on. The premise and story itself was unexpected and intriguing and had me going "what? wow..." If I had had my way, I would have read this story in one sitting. As it was, when I was forced to put it down and go to work, I couldn't stop thinking about it until I could pick the story back up again. I also *may* have shaken my kindle in a futile attempt to make it give me more story, but since there were no witnesses....

Bottom line. I loved the story. I loved the characters and I can't wait for the rest of the series.

This was actually a reread, first go round I was bored out of my mind, vsexond time took me 3 days to complete

The H has spents years stuck in the house of the h's grandmother, without his memories he's just a voice. When the h moves in he's immediately drawn to her....with the connection growing between them his memories finally return and he finally understands that not only has he found his mate but he is in a fight with an evil group of ppl who've been around for years. Now with his memories unlocked and with the help of his love he must find his missing brothers..... he's death one of the horsemen.

******
This took too damn long to develop
The h's dating situation in the beginning was probably meant to be funny but she was so desperate it turned me off of her and I just was never able to like her till the bitter end
Finally figuring out who the H is was a letdown because that plot is actually carrying over to the other books
The grand reveal was draggedddddd out
Not a fan

No cheating
h went on multiple dates in the beginning but he ruined them all

Not quite what it seems...

I loved and hated this book for several reasons.
#1: love the Hero, only had eyes for the h
#2: like-bordering-on-love for the h who was funny and had an awesome bestfriend
#3: love the bestfriend and the bestfriend's fiancee (hoping they get a novella someday. hint, hint)
#4: loved the twist. Totally didnt see that coming.
#5: hated the ending because I do not do well with series. Patience has never been my virtue. Nevertheless, I will be first in line to get the 2nd book when it comes out. Don't judge.

Obviously, this is a well-written book that I mostly loved. Except for the part that kept me hanging. The couple gets their HEA, mind you. I'm just spoiled due to a lot of great epilogues; some of which were actually written by Layla Frost. I just need to get the 2nd-4th book asap. Maybe I can get each chapter as they're written? One can only hope.

DNF halfway. I couldn’t feel any chemistry between the two main characters.

Whoa!!!

First let me start by saying, I have never been a fan of fantasy/paranormal romance. Like ever. It's just never been my thing. So going into this book my expectations weren't as high as they normally would be. Of course, leave it to Layla Frost to prove me wrong and make me love this book!!! And I truly did love every single second of this story.

This book is full of twists and turns. Mystery and suspense. Passion and devotion like I have never experienced before. It will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I just couldn't stop reading!!

So full of intense passion and devotion! Such a powerful read from beginning to end. You will laugh, you may even shed a tear or two. Your breath will be stolen as you walk this journey with these outstanding characters. An absolute MUST READ!!

Layla has completely changed my perspective! 6 stars!!
