This is a great collection and a good way to introduce Marcie Kane.
The 1st story involves Marcie assisting Mason in searching for his wife Sami a friend of Marcie, who disappeared on their 20th anniversary. The way that they were able to determine where Sami went was well done. The events leading to her discovery will keep you on the edge of your chair. Great ending.
The 2nd story has Marcie in Tanzania where she visited a school which she was helping to fund. Two of the girls disappear and when Marcie begins searching for them she runs into trouble. When reporting the incident to the police she meets Nathan Harris an FBI agent who will play a major role in the future. On Marcie's return to Tampa, she becomes involved in a search for Shoni, one of the girls that disappeared in Tanzania after the body of the other girl Irena is discovered. Again she winds up in a dangerous situation where she requires help. The individual responsible is someone that you wouldn't expect and you need to read the book to find out.
The 3rd story has Marcie and Nathan who are now engaged to be wed involved in a case where the wife of the Chief of Staff to POTUS has her computer hacked and ultimately leads to a national security issue that Nathan as a consultant to the FBI gets involved with. The reason for the hack and the near miss of a terrorist attack will keep your interest. To find out exactly why this all occurred, then you must read this book.
I read the box set 1_3 and not one disappointing moment in any of the books. Fast paced, lots of action and intrigue. Great Character's. I will be read more Barry Finley books!!!!
I liked this series even though it started out in a foreign country. Espionage, hacking into government systems, murder. I rate these three books a 4.6.
