I’m being really generous with 2 stars here. It’s more of a 1.25 or 1.5 stars.
Book 1 started out alright, except the female MC is extremely annoying for making a choice for someone without discussing or asking the other person about a life altering decision. Instead she is a coward and a disrespectful partner. Oh and allows herself to be a doormat for her mother. Just no for me. So I quit that story at Chapter 13 of 36 chapters because it was just going to drag. Nope.
I skipped book 2 because the blurb didn’t sound interesting and there was nothing I’d read to this point to make me care about the mother.
I started book 3 reluctantly because the blurb sounded compelling and slightly interesting. I was looking for something redeeming of this author. Well it wasn’t this story. It’s all fun in the beginning, but like her sister, Alex is obnoxious in her own was that are not relatable at all. So they just get eye rolls. This story was dumb and also dragged. I skipped at least four chapters randomly beginning to midway and picked right up in the story. What nonsense filler. The story reaches its climax of conflict and is then resolved so quickly with no drama or anything it’s as if it never happened. It what I imagine virtual reality to be. I jump off a cliff edge in VR and land on my two feet after only getting off the ground two inches and landing safely in the same spot. Pretty disappointing.
That being said, I’ve now deleted all other stories I’ve had from this author and I won’t be hoarding anymore books by them. Peace, I’m out.
