Who doesn't like to curl up with a good book? I certainly have, for as long as I could remember. Next to books, I loved movies just as much, especially if it had action and suspense. No surprise then that I'm now writing romantic suspense, and inspirational stories! I'm grateful to the Lord Jesus for His undeserved mercy and grace. I earned a Masters' Degree in International Affairs from American University, Washington DC; and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Professionally, I've been honored with multiple awards for pioneer academic research, student leadership and overall excellence. Wonderful Journey with Biological Sisters

An incredible journey of stories about amazing ladies of faith. Although in various locations, they truly love and care for each other. The first is about Stella after an earthquake separated her only daughter from her. But God has a plan if she is willing to let Him lead her.

While serving as an Airline Hostess, the next sister meets a handsome US Marshall. He begins to pray about a relationship with her, but doesn't even see her again for quite sometime. One day she will need his help in BC spite of her outward confidence. She is afraid of being on land more than being on land. Why is that?

Then there is April, whose a supervisor of a large Crime Lab, but is falsely accused and sent home while under investigation. She has always been a very thorough investigator and is totally blindsided. Her world is turned upside down. How can she ever recover from this event? What should she do next?

If you enjoy a good suspense story, then pick up a copy of these books. This series tells the story of four sisters. (three in this set). Each sister has their own fears that need to be overcome as God teaches them to trust Him for the strength to live. Along their journey there are some suspense filled troubles that have to be overcome as well to get them to the point of surrender and faith in the only one who can overcome. One complaint is how the third book ended. It ended as a cliffhanger, so if I want to find out the rest of the story, I will have to wait until the fourth book is released. Joy has written many stories and I enjoy how they always showcase the power of Surrendering to God and His ways! I received a copy of this book and have voluntarily chosen to give my honest opinion.

I very much like the books in this series about 4 sisters. Each has mystery, romance, Christian values. Each sister finds her love & her happy ever after.
Book 1: Started out strange to me with an earthquake & Stella's workplace. Michael proves to be her savior. They both have secrets that have to come out.
Book 2: Erica loves being an airline stewardess because she feels safe up in the sky rather on the ground. She thinks she is protecting herself from a very bad past. That proves wrong.
Book 3: I liked the second chance for romance with April & Kiel & the way it came about. To find out who is after April you have to read the 4th book that completes the series.
All 3 of these books have quite the twists & turns that kept me engrossed. I had to keep reading, hardly doing daily life work, to get to the conclusion.

So many disjointed and implausible actions and story lines. Chapter one sets the stage but then isn’t part of the story. Main character gets separated from her daughter following a disaster, is frantic to find her but then lays around for days to 100% recover before resuming her search. A major calamity but know one knows it occurred? Take the next bus out of the disaster area but again, no one knows it occurred? Eight-year-old stops being a Christian because of school? Another character believes in Jesus even though she has a nose stud and that should be a surprise? A disaster-aid station is set up but we won’t let survivors out of the car unless you sign a form? I finished book 1 but that’s the end of this series for me. I can only suspend reality so far for a romantic suspense book.

I absolutely love Joy Ohagwu books! She pulls you into the story and you fall in love with the characters. The Pleasant Heart series are an engaging, suspenseful page-turner that keeps you glued to the book until the last page. Joy’s books are extremely well written. I love being able to read a Christian book that encourages my personal walk without making me feel like it's being shoved down my throat. Joy does an amazing job keeping God as a central aspect in this series. Waiting for the next book can be torture. 😊

I liked that these books talk about relationships in families. I liked how in these books GOD brings good out of bad disasters. I liked how they are GOD centered & faith centered. I liked how the 3 different sisters that are the main characters have good happen throughout the bad. I like the suspense because our lives are never without suspense. I like that when I read the author's books I am encouraged to let the faith of Jesus carry me through my own trials. He has made promises I can trust in even through the disasters.

Fantastic series that can be read as stand alone books or in a series. I fell in love with the complex characters and their stories. I loved the mystery thriller parts of each story. Each one had to overcome a past and evil to reconcile with each other and face the future with faith in Christ. The author did an amazing job weaving the characters and their stories bringing the reader deep into the story. I highly recommend this set and author! Happy Reading!

Solid 4-Star

This collection of stories rated a solid 4-star for content and characters alone. The grammar was sometimes mixed up like maybe the author’s first language isn’t English. Having said these things, the stories were interesting, kept me turning pages, and had me completely invested. I wasn’t always in agreement with some of the doctrinal elements but those didn’t detract from the story. I highly recommend reading them if you enjoy inspirational suspense romance.

I really enjoyed reading this book.

This book had romance, mystery and the love of God. The three ladies in these books were vibrant Christians. They knew when to call on the Lord when the need surfaced. I would recommend these books. You will enjoy them.

Ms. Ohagwu is one of my favorite authors, and she's done another outstanding job in this Pleasant Hearts Series Boxed Set. Book #1-Uncommon Ground is a clean romantic suspense with plenty of plot twists and turns. Book #2-Unbound Hope kept my interest with its emotional plot twists and family dynamics. I couldn't put the book down! Book #3-Unveiled Truth, is a wonderful redemptive love story, allowing us a glimpse of what true repentance and forgiveness looks like. Plus a touch of suspense! All with a HEA ending. I wholeheartedly recommend this series!

Wonderful series full of intrigue and faith. Each book could stand alone, but together you see sisters learn to live in faith. I highly recommended if you love clean inspirational stories.
