**This is a NOVELLA.** The boys of the Evil Dead MC are out on business—the shady kind that happens in the dark of night miles from nowhere—when Red Dog gets a call from one of his club brothers. Seems Red Dog’s ol’ lady has picked tonight to take off and go drinking fifty miles from home.
The fact that she waits until he’s six hours away—doing an arms deal on the California-Oregon border—to pull this stunt, doesn’t amuse him.
Just wait until he gets his hands on her.
Only problem is—that may be easier said than done.
What ensues is a game of hide-and-seek with the boys all helping their MC brother track down his ol’ lady.
Along the way, Red Dog remembers why he fell in love with his little China Doll in the first place.
And he’ll be damned if he’s going to let anything or anyone keep them apart again, not even her.

Enjoyed catching up with the MC. Red Dog was not my favorite guy after the stuff he pulled on his old lady in the past but I really appreciate the insight into what was going on. I really like Mary. She's a badass. I'll even admit I like them together. The situation he put himself in to make her mad though... I'm sure I wouldn't be able to handle him doing something like that to her again without writing him off completely. All in all a short but good read. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing. No rape/abuse.
This was an okay read and it was easy for me to read a little of it and come back since I was sneak reading at work. I had a few issues with things that didn't seem to add up with the characters, but it kept me entertained. Not my favorite in the series but I'm definitely looking forward to starting the next one.
This was a quick hot read with my morning coffee. I enjoyed seeing Red Dog again, and meeting Mary, his little China Doll.
This novella was just what I needed after the book hangover(s) I had from the previous books in this series. Getting to see Crash, Wolf, Cole, and an "Ol' Lady" thrown in the mix, was just what I needed to keep me connected to the series.
Red Dog and Mary, have had a lot of "ups" and quite a few "downs" during their relationship. But they've always been able to work through it.. until now.
Mary is pissed, and Red Dog is stumped as to *why* that is this time. She's up and left, took all of her stuff, and their son, and just left. He doesn't even know where to begin to look for them.
We see a lot of flashbacks to how Red Dog and Mary first met, the ups and downs in their tumultuous relationship. But in all the years, we've never seen Mary leave and just "be done", with Red Dog.
Can he get her back, or has he fucked up one too many times for Mary to even consider it this time?
Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, curl up with your e-reader, and step back into the world of The Evil Dead, and find out for yourself.
I sure hope that Nicole James has more books planned for this series! I love me some Evil Dead!!
História curta e rápida de ler. Gostei muito! Heroína não aceita passivamente as porcarias que o herói faz e ele luta pelo amor deles. Queria uma história maior. Recomendo! ---------- Short history and quick to read. I really enjoyed! Heroin does not accept passively the crap that the hero does and he fights for the love of them. Wanted a bigger story. Recommend!
I am a huge Evil Dead MC fan so when Red Dog and Mary’s story came out it was a must read. Yes, it was short but it felt complete so that says a lot. When Red Dog was away on a job he finds out that Mary has left him and he has no idea why. Sure in the past he screwed up big time which got settled when Mary took a bat to his head. Evidently it knocked some sense into him because he has been nothing but faithful since…that is until Mary receives a picture on her phone.
What was that damn picture that put Red Dog in a position to lose Mary and Billy? Did Red Dog cross that line again? You know bikers, it is a possibility! But in this novella you get to learn how Mary and Red Dog connected and when brings them to the point that they are at now. I loved this novella and can’t wait to read more on the Evil Dead MC.
This book was provided as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
I've never read any of the previous books in this series and I didn't feel lost picking it up. However, maybe if I knew the series I might not have felt like there was so much missing from this story.
I'd have loved to have had more character development and maybe then I'd have been able to connect with the characters. Also, in an MC book you sort of expect some sexy time and there was a lot of fade out type scenes but that again, just made me feel disconnected from the characters.
On a positive, if this book was longer and added those things that help to connect with the characters I know I'd love the story. I'd totally read an extended version.

This is one of my Favorite Series love the writing the story the sex ... the trouble the B!tches see a complete package in every book Get One Clicking People ... Loved It
Red Dog! This is short novella of a day in the life of Red Dog and his ol lady Mary. Reading the previous books I had love/hate feelings for Red Dog. He cheated. Everyone knows it but hasn’t done it since that one time. Finding out the “reason” he gave for it made me just sad. This novella does have an HEA and I love them as a couple. I loved reading about how they began!
Ugh. He has cheated on her in past while she was pushing him away. Ew this whole “sought out comfort from another woman” concept is fucking bullshit. Who are you? You want comfort you go to your friends and family. Fucking someone else ( especially after you’ve fallen in love with someone and have gone through so much with them) is not seeking comfort, you’re just scratching an itch that you would have done anyway then

This was a great little read about Red Dog and his wife Mary.
She has had enough and thinks she is a big disappointment to her man. She has been blessed with one son and many miscarriages. She thinks RD is unhappy. He proves her wrong, pursues her and shows her how much she truly means to him. She is the love of his life.
Very short Novella 54 pages long. It tells you about how Red Dog met his Ol Lady China Doll. You are told their story while he is trying to figure out why she left him while he was on a run with the Club.
It was an interesting read for the length it was. Didn’t fall in love with their story but it was so short not possible there was much opportunity to do so.
I can say I’m interested in reading about their Son Billy when he is older and Crash’s daughter Harley Jean.
What’s just say in the beginning I hated him. Who can stand a cheater? But after reading the backstory my heart slightly melted. It’s a great quick short read. But you have to read the prior books to get the full affect. I recommend.
I guess I'm glad this was a novella because Red Dog isn't my favorite character. Mary doesn't even seem that likable though she's hot & badass. So yeah, glad this one is short. That's something I very, very rarely say about books.
P.S. This is the best book cover of the series. Nice!
Although I love Ms James' writing, this one just didn't do it for me. Aside from the fact it was way, way too short, I thought the sequence of events just didn't add up. A son who's 14 and Red Dog and Mary had been together around 14 years...yet she'd had several miscarriages before Billy. Not to mention the fact that Billy appeared to have been around the same age as Cole and Angel's twins in Crash's book, which took place less than 4 years earlier. I'm not one of those readers who hate cheating, as long as it's discussed thoroughly...and there's lots and lots of groveling, so in my opinion, this book should have taken place when the cheating happened....with lots more pages, and lots more detail. Sorry, it just kind of fell flat for me, but then I'm guessing this book was written to set the stage for another one. So I guess we can just look forward to that book, and hope for much better results. Doesn't mean I won't keep reading. Never stop!
loved the book...I took a chance not ever reading anything from this author and I loved it
Mary is a feisty little thing and said I had enough...last straw that broke the camels back...a slight misunderstanding has Red Dog going crazy looking for his woman but wondering at the same time what in the world happened
Love it just not long enough. I wanted more MAry and red dogs relationship has always intrigued me throughout the other stories. Hope there's more for these two
Red Dog was always the big dude that contributed so much to everyone else's story, so I was glad when it was his turn to be brought front and center. If you've read the books in Nicole's Evil Dead MC Series, you'd know that Red Dog really is a good guy who went through a rough patch with his wife, Mary. This novella provided the history between the two of them from how they first met, to some insight of why they slowly fell apart in the course of their fourteen year marriage, and of course, the road back to each other. The best part was being able to enjoy a short visit with Cole, Wolf, Green, and Crash and all that funny brotherly banter that comes along with them. Great short and sweet story. Yes, I actually said sweet while referring to an Evil Dead MC story. But you know that only goes so far! Gah, I really wish Red Dog's story was longer because I miss those guys so much. Then again, I'll never really ever get enough of them. Nicole James just writes 'em too good!
💯 % Awesome — When your heart stops & only one way to start it again .
📚💋Dear Readers
Closure for Red Dog & Mary ... it was lovely to know it was only one girl he cheated with . It seemed in one of the books like he did it more often . Wish it could have been longer & more involved like the others . But it was a sweet & heart racing story to show how much he truly loves her .
Thank you for the closure on his character. Enough to give them more of a presence within the story of Evil Dead brothers & ladies .

PS - We never have been told what Crash made in the corner that Shannon uncovered to look at - and Crash was keeping secret til it was done from his brothers .
Maybe one day we can find out !!!
James is Seriously an epic writer & details & all the MC chapters making this series BEAUTIFUL .. the intertwining of the Characters beautifully done .
I have to say I was looking forward to reading this one. I liked Red Dog from the previous books but didn't like him cheating on his wife in Crash. He did get a tiny bit of credit that he actually seemed remorseful when talking to Shannon and the fact it hadn't been mentioned that he had done it since. I loved that Mary hadn't taken it lying down and had literally knocked his teeth out for it so when I heard what happened in this one I couldn't wait. Unfortunately it really wasn't worth the wait. I think Mary really overreacted considering what was in the pic. Yes she would be a bit more sensitive considering who it came from but it didn't show him doing anything that even looked like he was cheating again. When I heard she'd been sent a photo I thought it was maybe one taken at the time he was cheating or had been doctored to look worse than it was but it was nothing even remotely like that! So her reaction really was too much for what was actually sent to her.
❤️🌼🔥SOMETIMES LOVE CAN LAST FOREVER IF BOTH PEOPLE WANT IT TO..❤️🌼🔥 When I started Red Dog, I thought, he is already in a happy relationship with his “China Doll,” Mary....I hoped they weren’t breaking up!!! ❤️🌼🔥 This was a good little novella, about a long time happily married couple with a teenage son....But, life isn’t perfect...everyone knows that...even bikers with a long time happily married life, that includes a teenage son... Especially when the person from a former indiscretion decides she wants to break up his marriage....Then, it’s up to Red Dog to convince his little China Doll that he’s not “that guy” anymore...Is Red Dog up to the task of Has Mary had enough...I loved this novella!!! ❤️🌼🔥
