About the author

Meg Clemens has a B.A. in mathematics from Wellesley College, an M.S. in mathematics from Wright State University, and an M.S. in teaching from SUNY Potsdam College. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher. Ms. Clemens has been teaching high school math for the past nine years. The Clemens family lives in Canton, NY.

I didn’t finish this book. I got to page 14 and flunked myself down to algebra 1. The principles weren’t clear to me and there were almost no detailed solutions either. The algebra 1 book is thus far very easy to go through. I will eventually try a different algebra 2 book because this one truly did not seem to match its title. Your results may vary. I never took A-2 in school. It might serve as a refresher if you did, but I feel confident that there are clearer manuals to refresh your lessons.

Barron's upped their game with this one. It's still pretty wordy and doesn't include color, but once you get into these upper-level high school topics things such as cute cartoons and extra color-coded notes are less effective. The best parts are the warnings against common errors. It also includes more topics than Algebra 2 for Dummies.
