Reaching him, feeling like a strobe of fire has been ignited in my body, I look up into his ocean blue and angry eyes.
Slowing reaching out for his glass while still holding his gaze, I take the glass and lay it down on a nearby cocktail table before extending out my other hand to take his.
As my finger first touches the back of his hand, I hear him inhale sharply and I know he’s feeling the same thing as me.

This is another amazing story by Katherine King. I enjoyed watching Eric, the male leading character in this narrative, as he finally "got it" and began to develop his humanity and respect for other people. Of course, Alexa, the strong female leading character attracted to the leading man, was a perfect example for Eric to study and learn how to mature as an emotionally stable responsible man capable of giving and receiving affection and not avoiding responsibilities. The emotional highs and lows and the unforeseen developments of this story kept me riveted to every word. I truly enjoyed reading about Eric and Alexa's romance. Great Read!!!!!
