Although the story’s and characters’ development was good, it didn’t excite me to the point to keep reading and finish this book. I would prefer a confined elaboration of the plot.

This story consumed me from the beginning. You can see how much Vance is struggling from continuing his mission to take down his father. As well as his inner turmoil to be with Lauren and keep her safe.

Lauren is falling hard for Vance. She's having the time of her life. Without realizing the dangers in The Shore. And still taking care of her mother back home. If she should believe her when she says she'll be clean and get help.

This story will keep you on your edge of your seat. You will want to keep going to see how Vance and Lauren story will unfold. I can't wait to read their conclusion in Rebel.

I don't have enough words to describe how much more I fell in love with Vance in this book. And it all comes to a single decision, when you love someone that much you have to let them go. I always called it bull**it. But in this particular book I saw and felt the ultimate sacrifice that Vance did to keep Lauren safe. And I understood it, I hurt for them and their beautiful love but I understood it. If you believe for one second that Brooke didn't keep the suspense building in this one as well then you have another thing coming. It was there all the time until the last page where I screamed and kicked and wanted to throw my kindle way as I was so angry of Lauren's decision. Yet another crazy semi-cliffhanger...

Oh my gosh this book destroyed me in the best of ways!!! I was dying throughout this whole book!! The tension is insane!! I Loved it!!! Lauren and Vance are absolutely everything!!! This picks up right were book one left off and I am freaking out!!! Its getting so serious with Vance and his dad! We get more of Vance trying to take his father down while also falling for Lauren. He will do whatever it takes to keep Lauren safe and away form this whole mess. He has to lie to her and do things he doesn't want to do in order for the take down to work. He hates it but he knows it has to be done. Lauren is falling fast for Vance! All she wants is to be with him! He is the only person to ever truly make her feel alive!! She knows something is up with him by how he is acting. When they are together everything is perfect but when he leaves it's completely different. They have such a sting connection! You know they are so in love!! I love Vance and Lauren. Their relationship is not easy but they are meant to be! Everything that happens in this book is so crazy!! Brooke writes romantic suspense perfectly!!! I was on the edge of my seat with my heart pumping a mike a minute!!! I literally could not put this book down! I had to know what was going to happen!!! It was amazing!!! The ending absolutely killed me and I can't wait to have book 3 "Rebel" in my hands!!! I need to know what is going to happen next!! You all Have got to read this trilogy!! It's one of a kind!

A continuation of the series and it's even better than the first book. Book two states right where book one left off and This time you see the more sinister side is things. Resist had more and the characters have evolved even more. Vance is trying to take down his father while keeping Lauren safe but luge throws many wrenches in the mix. When he figures out that Lauren is never going to be safe around,he does everything he can to get her to leave. Lauren doesn't know the darkness that lives around her but she it's blinding by her love for Vance. I love Vance in this book because he is letting his walls down gradually and it a aught to behold. Lauren is fallng in love but when she thinks Vance is lying to her to runs. Vance doesn't run after her because he has to settle his vengeance with his father. Will he hi secret her after her gets what he want or will he leave her to live her life? We don't know it ends on another cliffhanger.

You are going to want to read this one with even more actionn and suspense. The intensity between Lauren and Vance is eleven better here because it was established and teased us in the first book. There was no lagging in this book and each scene flowed. I can't wait too see what happens next after the cliffhanger left us wondering.

Lauren and Vance's story continues from "Rush". Vance is till trying to protect Lauren from becoming one of his father's doves but Lauren feels that Vance is maybe not into her as much as she is into him. And if I say anything more about the actual story, it would wreck it for others.

Once again this book has pulled me and wouldn't let go! Even though Vance is a bad guy, you can't help but feel for him because he's trying to be good. And Lauren is just in love with him and doesn't want to give up hope that they can have a happily-ever-after. But the twist at the end ... wow, I never saw that coming at all! Now I have to get my hands on Rebel to see what happens next. This series is kinda addicting!

In the continuation of the Riptide series, Brooke Page brings us more of the hard truth of the world of Human Trafficking through Vance's eyes. He is desperately in love with Lauren and will do anything for her. Even if that means throw another dove aka girl to the wolf that is his father. Revenge always has a dark and uneasy way of hurting the ones you love. And in Vance's case it causing a lot of hurt with his relationship with Lauren. From lies, drugs, and distance can they're relationship keep growing? Everytime I think I know what will happen something makes me scream "No!" Or "Why?" And by the end I want to root for these two because they have been through so much but can Vance ever escape the world his father created? Brooke you made me a believer in your words and story can't wait to see what you bring to Rebel.

Resist is Book 2 in the series and I wish I could give it more then 5 stars. I absolutely loved this book. The author kept me on edge for some much of it that I finished the book in a day. I just couldn’t seem to put the book down.

Vance meets Lauren in Rush which is Book 1. The books in the Riptide Series need to be read in order.
Vance has a secret life that he is hiding from Lauren but he is doing everything he can to protect her. She has no idea how much danger she is in at the shore. In book 1 we found out that Vance is trying to do everything he can to get Marcus handled. Will he be able to succeed and keep Lauren safe or will all of his lies be for nothing? Such an amazing addition to the series. Cannot wait for book 3

Another great read by Brooke Page. I had a hard time putting this book down like her other books. This second book in the Riptide series definitely picked up at a good place and kept me entertained. I fell in love with Vance just as much as Lauren did. I love the chemistry that Brooke Page created between Vance and Lauren. The writing was fluid and kept me invested. I loved the story line and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I'd recommend reading book one in the series first. Fan of a romantic suspense? Pick this series up.
You won't regret it.

Vance and Lauren's story continues in this second book of this 3-book series and it broke my heart! I'm hoping for a HEA in Book #3, but I'm sure we'll have to go through some heart-wrenching moments before that happens. As I said after reading the first book (Rush), this storyline that is quite disturbing, but eye-opening at the same time. Since reading these books, I've done some research into human sex trafficking and I have to give Brooke props for tackling such a tough issue in such an interesting, intriguing and gripping way. I love these characters and can't wait for Rebel!

This is part 2 of a 3 part series. You see Vance & Lauren getting closer and closer in this one and unfortunately his father, Marcus notices that as well. Vance needs to figure out how to keep Lauren safe. Falling in love makes it harder for Vance to hide his secrets as well from Lauren and when she finds some things out, she gets the wrong idea about what Vance has been doing and leaves. He's crushed by this but knows that it's the best way to keep her safe. I can't wait to find out how their story ends!

Wow. This one just kept all my emotions going. Is there going to be a happy ending for Vance and Lauren. I just am so glad I got to read this book series, it is just amazing and I can’t wait for the next book so I can see what Vance does about the information he found out. Sorry no spoilers you are gonna have to read the book to find out what I’m talking about. This is a must read just make sure you read book one first. Keep them coming Brooke can’t wait for the final book.

After the first book I didn't think this story could get any better, but I was wrong. I'm not sure if my review can do this book justice, but I'll give it my best shot. There were so many things that could go wrong for this couple. From start to finish I was on pins and needles, and at one point my heart was breaking for these two. At the end, I couldn't believe the story was over! I will be not so patiently waiting for the next story to come out. *I recieved an Arc for my honest opinion*

I received this book as an ARC and am freely choosing to leave a review for it. This is the second book in the “Riptide Series” and it was definitely just as great as the first one. I became so involved with this story that I actually cussed out loud for some of the scenes while reading it. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I am so looking forward to find out out what happens in the next book!

Vance and Lauren's story is so heart-wrenching! With evil lurking around every corner, it is getting harder for Vance to keep Lauren safe. Resist is definitely a page-turner, with gripping suspense that kept me anxious the whole time. I can't wait to see how everything turns out in Rebel, the final book of the Riptide series.

In this second book of the series, Vance is still trying to take down his father. Lauren is unaware of the dangers surrounding her. Vance is trying to keep Lauren safe, even if it means getting her to leave. I was hooked right from the start of this book.

Great second book and waiting on pins and needles for the third book in the series. This book continues to show us how close Vance and Lauren are getting, but Vance is not being truthful with her and Lauren starts to see bits and pieces that he is leading another life. She of course has no clue what that other life entails but it begins to drive a wedge between them. Vance loves her and continues to protect her from his dirt bag of a father. Vance continues his plan to take down his father and that plan is consuming in his mind and life. His main focus is bringing down the business, his father and keeping Lauren safe through all of that. His father wants to get his dirty hands on Lauren and for a while seems as if his dad will not stop until he has her. You see more of YaYa, Marcy and Colt in this book as well, thankfully not as much of Tucker. No spoilers here....but this book ends in a cliff hanger and I cannot wait to see how the story comes together in the next book. I really have enjoyed this series.

Well... Back to The Shore we go to dive into more angst and suspense that will have your head spinning while trying to figure out the WHO, WHERE, and WHY in the gripping part 2 of The Riptide series.
Vance has secrets that starts to unravel and makes Lauren question his loyalty to her and their relationship!!
When Vance's demons catch up to him, he has NO choice but what to do what he deems best for Lauren and to see his revenge for his mother to the bitter end, but when complications arise, Vance has NO idea what he put in motion....
Brooke Page knows how to keep you on your toes throughout the entire series and makes you want MORE NOW!!! I can't wait to get my hands on the final installment of this trilogy!!! Kudos to you

Holy what a second book to this trilogy, I don't even know what to say, so much happens i don't want to ruin a thing for any reader. This is a definite must read. Lauren and Vance continue to grow closer, he still won't fully admit his feelings for her, but keeping her safe is his priority. Vance is still on the quest to take down his dad in the fight for his life. I am dying to read the next book!

WOW! I love this Riptide Series! Vance and Lauren are amazing together. Their story is unbelievably heartbreaking. This book was an emotional roller coaster for me. I'll be waiting anxiously for the ending of this series. I have to know what happens between these two. Does doing the right thing end up making Vance lose the love of his life? What choice does Lauren end up making? I will be on pins and needles waiting for the end! Amazing work Brooke Page!

A great series. It would be best to read Rush before Resist. I was so frustrated that I could not read it in one sitting and now I can't wait for the next book. I really love Brookes style of writing, where her characters and plot are well developed. The characters are authentic. The topic of human trafficking is highlighted. It's a frightening thought that this is going on in the world around us. This series illustrates how easy it is for this to be happening and to be oblivious of the danger. I don't want to spoil the book for you so I'm not going to say more. There once again is a very unexpected ending and I can't wait for the next book. I recomend this book for ages18+.
