Enlightenment for Beginners is the simple account of how and why you’ve been imaging yourself to be only a separate and limited being. Using clever but easily understood words and drawings, Hillig invites the seeker to discover that they are already who they’ve been looking to become and that a life of love and connection is already at hand. Although this deceptively uncomplicated book can be read in a sitting, its profound spiritual impact can last an entire lifetime. A wonderful gift for anyone who is on the spiritual path.
This reminds me of the time i realized that nothing matters, and everything matters at the same time. Reading through this really took me back, and it felt a little trippy to rethink such thoughts. It’s the pretending to not pretend that gets me. Good read for beginners!
I... am not sure what the hell I just read. It wasn't stupid or awful to read, so much as just very, very strange. If it were just a story, I wouldn't be so confused, but this is serious and I'm not sure what to think or how to feel about it. It feels a little bit like my mind is melting, not in the melting-and-accepting-everything-is-me kind of way Mr. Hillig probably envisioned, though.
