Family means the world to me, we stand united as one. Then I met her, she didn't have that. She seemed lost. She didn't need saving, she needed me. But she has secrets that could destroy us both, destroy us all. Will she let her fear win the game or is there hope in her heart for something better?
Shayna
I am alone, the only family I have is a brother, I know he loves me and an uncle who hates us both. I watch him and his brothers and they have something I can only dream about I crave his touch, it fills my soul with wanting more. But my own family hates that I want something different than what I've got. They would tear me away from him, but I don't want to go… I'm torn in two directions. I know what I want but there's a fear inside me I can't let go.
I live in a small town in Wisconsin. From my deck, I can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. I live with my husband Dave and dog Buddy. My two children are grown and I have two grandchildren. I love to watch people and that has helped me with my writing. I often use people I watch as characters in my books and I always try to give my characters some of my own values and habits.
I love to create characters and put them in a troubling situation then sit back and let them do all the work. My characters surprise even me at times. At some point in the book, they take on a life of their own and the twists and turns they create becomes the story. Of all the stories, I could write I found I like mystery/thrillers the best. I like to keep my readers guessing until the very end of the book.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the Sin Bastards Next Generation series and tells the story about Bowie and Shayna. Bowie is Mountain's brother and works at the garage restoring hot rods. When Shayna is hanging around the garage, she is looking for a way to break in and rob the place when she asks to use the restroom. Shayna sees Bowie in the hallway ans they notice each other. Shayna is working for her uncle, who runs a group of street children robbing various places before moving onto another town. Shayna doesn't want to work for her uncle, but he has custody of her little brother and threatens him to get her to work for him. Shayna and her brother lost their parents in a car accident that left her brother in a wheel chair. When Shayna is caught by Bowie casing the garage the next day, she knows her brother is in danger and begs them to let her go. When the MC learns her brother was hurt, they call an ambulance fro him and take Shayna to see him. Shayna tells them about her uncle and the MC vows to protect them. Bowie claims Shayna as his own and that includes her little brother. When Shayna reveals even more secrets, more danger comes and soon the MC has even more to worry about. This was another great action packed book about the Sin's Bastards. I loved this book and thought Bowie was another protective man. I love the instant connection between Shayna and Bowie. I love that Shayna knew she could trust Bowie and he wanted to protect her and her brother. Great one.
BOWIE-Sin’s Bastards MC Next Generation Book Four by author,K.J. Dahlen continues the thread that began with Satan’s Spawn MC Series & Sin’s Bastards MC Series. We now dig into the next generation that consist of the Morgan Brothers who run the ‘Morgan Brothers Classic Hot Rods-In Association with Sin’s Bastards MC.’ It's in this setting that the two main characters collide. Shayna who is scoping the place out for her uncle Sean to break into, and Bowie, one of the Morgan brothers in the shop. Events happen that cause her and her handicap brother, Danny To both be in ER. The brothers offer them protection against the uncle and Bowie and Shayna have this immediate connection and Bowie claims her officially Their are many attempts made to kill her and brother. The story does a good job explaining why and how the MCs are involved locally and from Boston. The story is meaty, graphic, and steamy. One question that I have is what happened to Beast, the dog? He was her companion at the beginning of the story and never mentioned again. I hope he appears in book five. I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book.
This was a really good addition to both the Sin's Bastards MC and Sin's Bastards MC Next Generation series. However, I agree with another reviewer who said this story seemed more rushed than the others in either series. Shayna and Bowie had an instalove on warp speed kind of relationship. I also wish we had known Bowie's age. We were told Shayna was 22 but I don't know if Bowie followed some of his Morgan brothers in a younger woman/older man relationship or if he was closer to Shayna's age.
Overall though, I really enjoyed the book. It was an easy reading, fast paced, keep you on the edge of your seat story. The life Shayna and her brother, Danny, had lived over the past 10 years was something no one should have to endure. Always looking over their shoulder, had they finally found their saviors? Could they learn to trust, embrace family, feel safe and loved? This story was filled with danger and suspense. There were twists and turns, as well as secrets revealed. I recommend this and the whole series. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Another great book with this one about Bowie. Shayna a street kid of sorts stuck with a criminal of an uncle who is holding her younger brother in a sense hostage. When her parents were tragically killed in an auto accident and her baby brother hurt and in a wheelchair, she will do what ever it takes to make her uncle happy and keep his hands off her brother. They are a traveling group of thieves and she has the ability to break into anything and be in and out before anyone would now. The only problem is her uncle has his sights on the Morgan’s shop. While she stakes out the place she is also being watched and once she is found out all hell breaks loose. Bowie and the rest of the guys close ranks and get there to admit what was happening and now Bowie has taken her under his protection along with her brother in this bumpy ride which will give other members closure on the death of one of theirs. When the truth is finally revealed the Club is all in to get to the bottom and close the ranks on this ring and the people who run it, and along the way Bowie finds the one that will have his heart forever. What to know more.... Well grab your copy today and enjoy the ride.
This is the fourth book in the Sins Bastards MC series, and it is Bowie and Shayna's story.
As this story begins, Shayna is scoping out the hot rod shop owned by the Sins Bastards MC for her evil uncle Sean. The plan is to rob the place, but Shayna wants no part of it. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a choice-it's that or her brother Danny's life, and she will do anything to protect him. The thing is-Sean's greed proves to be a huge mistake when Bowie decides to claim Shayna. As Bowie's woman, the MC vows to protect both her and her brother, but Sean and some evil people from her past will stop at nothing to silence her. Will the MC being able to fulfill their promise?
Gah! This book is a real page turner! It is filled with a lot of action and suspense! In fact, the story line was so consuming that I read the entire book in just one sitting! Give it and this entire series a try! I promise you won't be disappointed!
I am a huge fan of K.J. Dahlen and her MC books. Each and every single release is a dramatic and riveting ride. Bowie Morgan is done. He has met his 'one' and this gorgeous man knew it at his very first glance of Shayna. Shayna has had to be strong for so long and although she'd do anything to care for her handicapped Brother, some things she can't fix and this time, her Uncle has gone too far and she'll need the help of this Brotherhood to escape with Danny and.her life in tact. Bowie is another installment in this MC series. Creativity in spades once again by K.J. Dahlen and I can not wait to see what is next for this Brotherhood.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of Bowie in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend this MC Series as well as anything written by Ms Dahlen. Trust that you will never be disappointed with anything written by Ms Dahlen.
Bowie by K.J. Dahlen is an awesome book. This is the fourth book in the Sin’s Bastards MC Next Generation series. This is the story of Bowie and Shayna. Bowie is a member of the Morgan family and the MC. Shayna is an orphan raised by her Grandfather and Uncles, who turned her into a thief. Even though she is over 18, Shayna still lives with her Uncle Sean so she can look after and out for her brother, Daniel, who is paralyzed. Bowie and Shayna meet when she is casing the car repair shop that the Morgan’s own. Right from the beginning there is an attraction between the two and on their second meeting, when she is captured, Bowie claims her as his. She and her brother are now under the protection of Bowie, his brothers and the MC. This book has twists and turns, ups and downs, suspense, and it’s an emotional rollercoaster ride. I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down. I definitely recommend this book and can’t wait for the next book by Ms. Dahlen.
ONE HEART MELTING READ!!! OMG! This is one intriguing, interesting, action packed, fast paced, hard hitting, nailbiting, spine tingling, nerve racking, page turning tales that captivates from the start and holds your attention until the last word. Dahlen rocks this bad boy to the core. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, with more drama and tension rising as the suspense and danger closes in. Running out of time with death nipping at their heels no place to turn. The characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable. The scenes are descriptive and detailed it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. It's mesmerizing following the characters while balancing out traits as they play off one another. Dahlen did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Dahlen, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
I have loved this series from the very beginning when it started with Deke. The books and the stories keep getting better and better. I am giving this book 5 stars because I truly do love this series and the characters within. I do however have to point out the many grammatical errors that were present which I overlooked because I have read many books from this author and it's quite unusual for this to happen. I also didn't really enjoy how rushed I thought the story felt with Bowie and Shayna and I was also missing key characters from previous books. That's one of the main reasons I have enjoyed these stories is the connection between everyone within the club, men and women. Having said my good and disappointing thoughts, the book is good and I am looking forward to see who the next Sin B*stard is who gets their story.
Bowie is big on family and can't help his instant protectiveness of the girl he doesn't know. Shayna hasn't know the meaning of family for years and is determined to do anything to protect her brother. One man is determined to destroy them all. Will Shayna learn to trust those around her? Will Bowie be able to keep her and her brother safe?
I love this series! I started reading the Bratva Blood Brothers series with this author and it hooked me to where I can't wait for the next book to come out! I loved how Bowie was determined to show her the true meaning of family and love. I loved Shayna's fierce protectiveness when it came to her brother and how she showed love despite not having much in her life. Great read!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Shayne had a great life till the moment her parents were killed in a car crash and she and her little brother came living by her grandfather and uncles. Real evil men, who made her go stealing and other criminal things. Why she didn't stop? Because of her younger brother Danny who is in a wheelchair thanks to the same car crash.
But now here life is going to change, her uncle made a mistake with letting her try something with a shop which has the protection of the sin bastards. And when Bowie sees her, he falls hard for her. Now she has real family the MC. But her other family isn't letting her go, bringing more evil to her and her brother.
But thankfully the MC knows how to fight and to protect her and her brother.
This review is not so much about the story but the writer
Throughout this whole series I have overlooked many typos, grammatical errors along with verb tense error just to name a few things. Several times in this book the author didn’t even have the correct spelling for the characters names. Where is the pride in work? I am so glad that I did not pay for most of this series. Kindle Unlimited gave me the opportunity to try this series and I did. This is so far into the series that no matter what else she writes I probably won’t even give her a chance. This is deplorable and a travesty to good book and good writers. I had really liked the beginning but this one is the end for me. It is not fun making corrections as I read throughout the series.
s with the first 3 books this is a standalone novel. Bowie Mason meetings other half, Shayne, when she comes to case the auto shop for a robbery. As with this series this is an action packed story with the female lead having lived a horrendous life but always with a good side. In thisome case she only steals so they won't hurt her disabled little brother Danny. Bowie and all the alphas agree to protect her and her brother from her evil uncle Sean and Brody. As with all these stories they can't always keep them from harm - poor Danny - but they will succeed in the end of getting rid of any threat to her and her brother. I thought the story ended a bit abruptly but still enjoyed it. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
Bowie knows what he wants right away and that comes in the form of a young woman who was caught red handed casing their shop. With Shayna there is much more to the story than some criminal who ready to steal from Sin’s Bastards. Who would do something that stupid?! Well, when it comes to saving her brother’s life that is exactly what Shayna would do.
Is Bowie able to keep Shayna from making one of the biggest mistakes of her life? This girl is beyond scared of something and he will damn well find out what it is and do what it takes to keep her and her brother safe. With the suspense in this book it made it a page turner you couldn’t put down.
K.J. gives us another great story in "Bowie (Sin's Bastards MC Next Generation Book 4), with Bowie and Shayna. Their story is one filled with emotion and a corruption that is heartbreaking. A wonderful group of men in the Morgan brothers and the MC, Shayna and her brother will find a home and love while learning that family is not always blood. One of my favorites of the series, Bowie and Shayna's HEA is an aha moment with all of the drama, deception, and the twists and turns, that give this story a 5 star rating from me. A standalone read, I would like to thank K.J. Dahlen for gifting me "Bowie". My opinion is my own.
Not the typical MC read in a number of ways. Shayna came from a difficult background of people that didn't care about her. She lives her life to protect her brother at any cost. Being a thief is a dangerous job but when you have no choice what do you do? Bowie is an interesting character to me. While like most MC members he is tough and dangerous he seems to really have a soft side that shows almost instantly for Shayna. Can a thief and an MC member make it work when so many people come for them?
I’ve been in love with this group of bad boys since the very first book. The characters are amazing and each storyline is perfect. There’s romance, steamy sexy times, and suspense...the perfect combination for a fantastic read. The Morgan brothers are beautiful men and each have their own personalities. Some of the MC have found their true loves, now it’s time for the rest. I cannot wait to see who’s next and what kind of chaos she’ll bring with her. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Wow!!! I love Bowie's story! He finds a scared girl in his shop who claims to be just using the bathroom. When he confronts her later she crumbles and he can't help his attraction and protective side coming out, even though he just met Shayna. Shayna has had a tough life, but she will do anything to protect her brother, even if it means crossing her uncles. This is another suspenseful, danger and passion filled story in the Sin's Bastards world. Bowie has claimed Shayna and her brother and lord help anyone that threatens them!! I loved this one!!
I have really enjoyed the Sins Bastard's MC books, but this one not so much. Some of the dialogue and situations were taken directly from the Bratva books! It's bad enough that the books repeat the same information several times in a story. Now it's the same story repackaged! Time for something fresh don't you think. K. J. DAHLEN I've been a fan and enjoyed your stories, what's going on???
She was trying to find a way to survive and keep her family safe. He was subconsciously looking for something,he didn’t realize he was even looking for or wanted. He helps to save her and protect her and her family. To help he brings in the Sin’s Bastards to help. In the process they uncover a plot to take out the Family in the Eastern half of the United States. They both decide to keep each other and they save each other in ways they didn’t know they need to.
Fast paced, action packed, suspenseful is what this newest addition to the series offers readers who enjoy well written MC story. I loved Bowie and Shayna’s character, their heat and journey that at times seems impossible becomes a HEA. This was my first read by the author and I appreciate how she is able to bring life to her characters and will be looking for more.
Gee what more could you want from a book, and men, mafia, motorcycles, a strong young woman, an injured boy, sick perverted government man, a ring of thieves, murder, and so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the characters, this was a cover to cover non-stop read for me,I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more from this series. Once you start you won't want to miss a single story.
KJ Dahlen does it again with Bowie! This next generation series is amazing! Still intense. Still dramatic. Still sexy. Still romantic. Still sweet. Still amazing! Bowie, Shayna and Danny are great characters and add to the whole crew seemlessly. A definite recommendation on this book, series and previous series too! I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
Great addition to this series. This is Bowie and Shayna’s story. Shayna is forced to work with her Uncle as he custody of her little brother. When she is caught by Bowie casing the garage, she knows her brother will be in danger unless she can find help. Will Bowie and the MC help her? Fast-paced read with loads of drama and steamy chemistry. I really liked the characters and the story keeps you hooked from beginning to end. I liked it.
Omg I loved Bowie. Bowie is a big cuddly teddy bear. Shayna is trying to keep her and her brother Danny alive. When these two cross paths he knew he needed to protect her and she was his. As their story unfolds and we learn more about what Shayna and her younger brother Danny endured my heart cried for them both and Bowie stood her her side through it all. I love the Sin Bastards MC and can't wait to see what happens next!
I loved this book and cried at the first several chapters. Bowie is filled with intrigue, emotion, strength, love and hate. I read it from cover to cover. I couldn't put it down till I knew Shayna and Danny were safe!! I was surprised to find Gator never being mentioned, but still never took away from the book
Loved this book. From the start you are drawn into the story. Bowie and Shayna are drawn to each other from the start, but Shayna denys what she feels knowing that the one family member she has left is in danger. As the story plot unfolds with it's twist and turns you can't help but fall for these two characters.
What an amazing MC story by K.J! The entire series is definitely worth reading. “Bowie” has everything a great MC Book should have – drama, intense action, suspense, violence, passion and a HEA. I loved all the twists and turns that had me enthralled from beginning to end. Superb writing! Intriguing characters! A must read! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a very poignant and powerful read. An intense story that has intense emotions and drama. I loved Shayna and Bowie. Their chemistry and attraction was steamy and deep. Drama, action, heat and danger are added to a interesting storyline to create an extremely enjoyable book. This is my honest and completely voluntary review.
