This was a short free prequel to introduce this new serial-story.
It does what it says on the tin and is a great little pre-game warm-up to the main event.
introducing us very nicely to the upcoming Ascension Saga.
It was short but sweet and did a great job of enticing the reader onboard for the forthcoming journey ahead.
This definitely piqued my interest in this new story so, in my opinion, this did its job splendidly.
My rating here reflects the fact that this is super short and is no way a reflection on the authors writing ability: this really was just bitesize: a teaser of what's to come if you will.
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

This was a short short prequel that introduces a new series from this author.
Light on details, big on unspoken possibles, this read sets the stage for the first book in series and the history leading up to that.
No adult content, no romance at all (at this point), it just introduces the series premise.
Don't expect to know more than that this is a teaser prequel intended to hook possible readers. Worked for me.

This is just the beginning. Grace starts us with a Queen leaving her home planet and hiding some very important information from everyone. She is running for her life as well as her baby after her mate has been killed. This is a short background of what is to come.

Sci-fi ROMANCE at its BEST! A superbly sensuous and erotic romance PREQUEL and a MUST-BUY!
The way that Grace Goodwin writes her superbly descriptive and sensuous prose had this reader/reviewer on the hook within the first paragraph. If you have not already done so, PURCHASE THIS BOOK! Then clear the calendar for the next couple of hours with a glass of wine (or water if you prefer it) and dive in. This free Prequel provides some backstory on the three sisters, who are also the three heroines of the “ASCENSION SERIES” by Grace Goodwin. The “ASCENSION PREQUEL” is exactly what the title suggests . . . a backstory about a royal ascending to the throne. However, what neither the title nor the blurb tells prospective readers is how easily Goodwin’s smooth pose will capture a reader’s imagination, how the wonderful descriptions and voices of the three heroines of “ASCENSION PREQUEL” will endear those characters to a reader’s heart and have that reader rooting for their happiness, and how the intensely complex, action-packed, and compelling plotline will pull readers out of their world and take them to the matriarchal world of Aleran! For those who are already fans of Goodwin’s INTERSTELLAR BRIDES Series, some of her fan’s favorites make appearances and give a glimpse of life beyond the epilogue. I voluntarily read “ASCENSION” and this is my honest review and 5+STAR recommendation! As a practice, I do not give more than 4½ stars to a novella, but “ASCENSION” is just too good to limit and there are two more parts to read! Happy pages! 😉

A new series spin off from Interstellar!! This is a short story setting the scene for the start of the series. It is well written but there is very little time for characters to fully develop but for all that they are fairly well described. The scenario is such that the Queen of Alera is trying to escape certain death to ensure her daughter survives to reclaim the planet and it's throne

Great short prequel to the new Ascención saga. This takes place in the interstellar brides world that grace Goodwin has and so far I am really excited from what I hav read. Can’t wait to see what happens.

This is another great read by this talented author. If you like the Interstellar Brides then you will love this book. This book is not a standalone and I can't wait to read the next book.

Just a prequel, so not much here. It introduces us to three sisters who all sound promising as leads. I guess time will tell.

I was so excited that there was another plot line added to this series because I can't get enough. It was really a teaser of a short story so I am eagerly awaiting the rest.
