I read this book all in one go! Just could not put it down and go to sleep!!! This book was just sooooo good! Different from the others in the series. I loved it! No spoilers given but you must read this book. So so good. More than merits the 5 stars ⭐️! These books just get better and better! If David Wood ever stops writing about Dane and Bones I don’t know what I’ll do! I just want to get to the next one and then the next and then another... The synergy between these 2 is just on point.
This is the third I believe in what was the kindle world series of Dane Maddock. In this book we see the return of an earlier enemy who is developing a mind control type of drug and of course Bones and Maddock end up in the middle of it all, In interesting read. I really enjoyed and will be reding the next shortly.
After hearing the Angel has been kidnapped, Maddock and Bones go on the offensive, but is everything as it seems. They find themselves isolated and being used as test subjects, can they break free and win the day.
The implications of Brainwash are frightening, so thank goodness for fiction. Enjoyable adventure and I eagerly await what happens with Alex Scanlo next.
When Angel, Maddock's fiance and Bone's sister is kidnapped the dynamic duo spring into action to save her. That is when things really gets weird for the guys.
They find themselves in locations that can't be and with creatures that don't any longer exist. At one point they want to kill each other and don't know why. Nevertheless, Bones and Maddock fight through it all.
Absolutely love anything Maddock and Bones. This may be only a novella, but is action packed.
In this book we join Maddock and Bones while they get stuck in a deadly game of what's real and what's not, all while also battling dinosaurs. It is a little bit weird that I like these books as much as I do, but I think they are a kind of guilty pleasure. Also, they are potato chips books, as in you always want one more. The characters of Maddock and Bones are very, very stereotypical ex navy seals, and somewhat one dimensional. Each book is based on a historical myth, and they are sometimes a little bit repetitive. But the action and adventure is great and very fast paced, and the books are enjoyable.
Not bad for a novella like David Wood but he's better.
The characters are good. Well done. You have done a lot of repetition of past books and adventures. You should be more creative within your own story. It's yours. I know you are copying his style and insights but change the novella more. Hang in there! Good luck!
