Set in Heart Line, Missouri. Caleb and Gina are in a horrific accident that sent the into Raven Lake. During the fight for survival, Caleb's persona becomes split but not in the traditional way. The alter persona takes on a living, breathing and very evil form. A handful of people in the town have already been experiencing issues that are not just concentrated at Raven Lake, but a second lake that serves as a gate to a twisted version of Purgatory, This lake allows it's inhabitants to come and go as they please, more or less. Through the trial and error of discovery, the people are receiving notes and gifts that help lend clues as to how to stop this treacherous Hell from invading their town before anyone else gets hurt or killed. It is a widely spoken theory that everything has an equal and opposite force. Up until the events that took place in Heart Line, Missouri, that’s all it was…. A theory, a credible hypothesis. Purgatory is a holding place for those that have a last chance at redemption… What is it’s equal and opposite? In Raven Lake Woods, behind Raven Lake itself there lies the answer. A fiery Lake like structure only this one serves as gates. The gates are far more treacherous than those that lead to Purgatory. At least Purgatory is sealed off. The Dead Cell on the other hand is open, the only guards are inside, but not to protect the exit or entrance. The Dead Cell allows its inhabitants to come and go as they wish as long as they are obedient to the Overseer. The inhabitants are the dead. A very different kind of dead though. The normals walk, talk and breath just like people of the Natural World with an entire soul, everything intact including their memories from existence. There are others. Those who have had their heart stop and have sins on their soul. The bad will leave the good…. A split soul. These inhabitants from The Dead Cell are very angry, in search of their respective other half. Recognition only comes in tiny bits, and then only serves to make matters worse. They attack those who they think has the answers they seek. The notes and gifts lead to the idea that seismic activity near The Ring Of Fire, causes significant pain and weakness to the dead. Possibly a useful tool to destroy them. The people of Heart Line must find a way to close the gates of The Dead Cell before anyone else gets hurt or killed by the inhabitants.
