Waking up in a strange place with no memory of who you are or how you got there is bad enough but when Lana finds out she's stuck with Peter, who seems overly excited by the prospect of an adventure, she starts to get a bad feeling. To make matters worse, Lana finds out she's dead, has no memory of the past, and all the talk of skills, leveling up and questing make her want to scream.
All Lana wants to do is find a way to get home, wherever that is, but Peter is more than content to stay and see what this strange world filled with merchant gnomes, minotaur bartenders and angry house toughs have to offer.
Could Peter have something to do with Lana's current, infuriating state or is he just as lost as she is as they fight towards answers and their FIRST LEVEL!
The book is interesting and the author did a decent job in keeping me engaged and entertained. The characters are ok and the plot is decent. Overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5 rounded up. I will read book 2.
This was a fun read. One idiot who loves being in an isakai and another that's refusing to accept what's going on in the world. It's a funny short story. If you have KU and have some spare time, it's a fun read. There are a slew of grammar mistakes. So, if you're a grammar Nazi, skip this book. The mistakes aren't enough to break you out of the book, but there are formatting and spelling errors all throughout the story. Nonetheless, it was a fun read.
I loved Lana and Peter. They were such a riot and extreme opposites so the predicaments they found themselves in were all the more interesting when they had to work together. The overall story was exciting and I really want to know how the two of them spawned in this game world and how they need to get out, for Lana’s sake. I also enjoyed the pictures to accompany the leveling up. What an original story. I can’t wait to read book two!
First Level is the first part of the Replay series.
I was expecting more. One character knew somewhat of what was going on. But he seemed pushy and not important. The girl had no clue what was going on and rebelled at every suggestion the boy made. It turned into an okay story but it just seemed fast, not fast paced. The story only wanted to get to the end. Hopefully the next story will be better.
