Nina has been drugged and is being held captive! Roy is hot on her trail, but Angelica and the student council will do everything they can to interfere. With luga fighting luga and Nina’s secret on the line, the fall of Abigaile has begun in this final volume of Beasts of Abigaile!
While this was a good ending for this series, it could have been better. You could tell that the story was rushed and wasn't given the true potential. four volumes weren't enough for this story. However, after reading the ending note, I don't think it was the artist's doing to have it wrapped up so soon.
This will go down as one of my favorite manga series, I just wish it was longer to cover more endings.
What goes down: -backstories -questions are answered -Roy is both a hottie and a cutie -packed some feels -epilogue was great
All I can say is that for a manga that only lasts for four volumes, it really packs a great story line, some cute romance (maybe more development but it was still cute) and beautiful art.
Never expected I would find myself tearing up with the ending of this series, but here I am fanning my eyes to keep from crying! LOL!
SO much happens in this final volume, and while it definitely was not rushed, I SO wish there were more volumes in this series! I would have loved to see what happens next, but all the building up to the end was so worth it. I truly didn't think Roy would change as much as he had and actually LIKE his character by the end. Even things with Angelica I didn't expect!
Truly, this was such a wonderful series! It gradually gets darker as the series goes on, but the thread of hope is so powerful and never looses strength. In the lines that were spoken more than once, "Never stop believing. Stay true to yourselves. May all your dreams come true."
Very good shojo series that I look forward to reading again!
I was enjoying this series, but the ending is very rushed. I'm guessing the author wanted it to be longer but it was "canceled." There's a note at the end which seems to support that idea. I think it could have been better if it had been given more length.
A brief overview of the series thus far: A girl named Nina is attacked by a werewolf, and then she becomes one. She is taken to Abigaile Island, a prison/school for werewolf children to learn how to become docile slaves to their human oppressors. Once there, she enters into a love triangle with Roy, the werewolf and bad boy who originally attacked her, and Gilles, the dark-haired man who is friends with the student council president. Nina learns more about the luga (werewolves) and vows to help them in their quest for freedom.
When I started reading the Beasts of Abigaile series, the first book had just come out, and I had expected it to be a lot longer. Much to my surprise, Volume 4 is the conclusion of the story, and it’s where we finally start getting real answers about what happened to the luga princes, why Nina turned into a werewolf in the first place, and what role her family played in the history of Abigaile Island. It’s a pretty great payoff, and I was satisfied with the way that the story ended. The epilogue especially was just adorable.
I do think that the series would have benefited from another volume or two; it feels like there are a lot of events and details packed into one book, and the pacing is different from the rest of the book. I get the impression that maybe the publisher decided to stop the series after 4 books, and so the author was forced to pack a lot of plot and backstory into the last volume in order to make it work. This was such a fun series, and I can’t help but wish that there was more of it.
Keeping it spoiler free from the first volumes, I felt this was a solid ending to the series. I was left with a lot of unanswered questions though. For being only 4 volumes, I think it was a solid story. I would have liked more from it in general and I know this could have been made into a longer series if some things would have gone more in depth, but it wasn’t bad for what it was.
Unfortunately this is the last volume, and it arguably ends much too fast. The student council president has made her move, and now Nina's secret has been revealed. A visitor from the past sheds light on the history of the luga as well as Nina's own past, and Nina is quickly forced away from the prison. Can she manage to save all of the luga she loves so dearly?
The ending is like the series, cute and fluffy and yet dark in equal measure. It resolves a bit too quickly, and I would have loved at least a fifth volume so there was time to breathe. I also hope some of the characters manage to survive in spite of their fates. Angelica, especially; she's one of the more tragic villains in shoujo.
This was a really good series despite it's short length. I hope they make an anime of it.
S.O.S. ! I've been bombarded by all the feels! Some good, some meh. Let's start with the good: Nina and Roy are official, and their reunion post Luga rebellion made me weak in the knees; Angelica/humans get exposed; Abigaile literally CRUMBLES, I'm talkin' full on Burnt Offerings, sans refurbish; the human side of Nina isn't forgotten, given that they weave her roots and her uncle (yes, the one we saw for hot minute first panel) into Abigaile's past, and it's not pretty. Nina is also a pro in that she doesn't take the easy way out (turns out, she's half-Luga, and is offered the chance to escape, scott free, but she refuses to leave her friends and boyfriend behind). But... here comes the meh: lots of things happened (Giles and Roy being royal AND HALF-BROTHERS, Nina's backstory, DEATH, yes you read right) within the same amount of pages as the first two, and not all of the events are given their due. Also, I know I said Roy and Nina's reunion was sweet, but I wanted a full on reunion with Dario and Poe. I was also kind of hoping for a wedding between Roy and Nina (the classmates could've been guests), where Roy and Nina would've become the rightful king and queen of the Lugas, creating a new dynasty/era of pride. But, I can't be too mad, it sounds like it wasn't the author's design to leave us with just four (her end note makes me all kinds of sad/frustrated). This whole series goes beyond the love story, there's beauty on every page.

Story 5,0/5 Zeichenstil 4,6/5 Charaktere 5,0/5 Gesamt 5,0/5
After the last volume I had to find out what happened because there were a couple of WTF moments. I had a feeling there would be more to Nina but I wasn't really sure where the mangaka was going to go with it. I'm really happy with how it progressed and we got to see more of the school/prison's backstory along with the mysterious president of the student council.
My main ship sank a couple volumes ago but I am actually a lot happier with the one that seemed to emerge from the wreckage. Still, I do feel like there should have been more volumes to pad this out because I really did like the story and the world, but I understand why she didn't add more.
A very solid happy ending. The series had really good pacing and I liked the overall message and tone.
I'm going to be picking more up from this mangaka for sure, I really like her style and the artwork is stunning. I also loved the little notes that she'd leave at the beginning or the end or how she would explain why she chose certain design aspects or the inspiration for for the story. It's a great way to see the mangaka's personality.
An overall satisfying ending to the story . We heard more of the history of their King although I almost wished this were unravelled slower ,it felt fast . The headmaster was introduced and barely in it although coming off as very menacing , would have been better as a slow build - in regards to the information as well and same with President’s presence . However they did do a great job with the world building and Luga’s backstory and world . There were a couple cheesy lines that had me like *OHKAY eye roll such* as her uncle stating he knew she would become the bridge to free all Lugas from birth , but i reminded myself it is a shoujo Manga. Parts of the ending were heartbreaking , and I also found myself with some questions . Some of these being “ when did Nina win over the hearts of all Lugas?” I mean I know she was well liked by her house and Roy’s but I didn’t realize she was that popular . Second why was Roy human at the end ? I don’t understand that although I did like it . Anyway it was a short ,cute ,fluffy ,fluttery ,heartfelt read.

FCKKKK Nina and Roy are such baddies 🥹🥹 How the hell did Roy fully win me over with this one??? HES SUCH A BADDIE🔥🔥🔥 Him and Nina are so perfect I'm obsessed 😮💨🫶💗
Angelina has been through a lot, and abused in horrific ways. However her actions towards Nina I can't forgive. Nina is trying so hard to help the luga people, her people, and yet Angelina wants to punish her for it? And not just punish her, but actively state that going along with their abusers is the only way to survive? Surviving is not living, and sadly Angelica has lost sight of that.
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT??? The ending was too quick! And honestly why the heck didn't we get a follow up for the queens and Poe?? AND WHAT THE FUCK?? GILLES??? I-
I'm like not super upset about the ending, but also really upset about the ending. I'm so conflicted!!! Overall I really liked this series, but I feel like we should've gotten a fifth book. Like this fourth one should've been stretched into two, cause we got hit with too much information for it too be this short. I liked how fast paced this series was, but this ending was a little too fast paced. I honestly don't know how to cope with that. I sat for a few seconds just laughing after finishing because honestly what the fuck. I'm shook.
Sad to see how quick this series went by even though I felt it coming, I just wasn’t prepared to see it end that way. I get so sad seeing what happened to my favorite character. Everything eventually came together and worked out in the end. Still curious about what happened when that castle collapsed and how Roy still came intact with Nina. I give the book 5 stars because every detail about it pulled me in to reading it more. I’m sad though it was short but still got to read all of the volumes. I think readers interested in Alphas, packs, mangas and adventure, comedy romance would be into this book.
The student council has deemed Nina a threat to their rule and imprison her. Roy rushes to rescue Nina but is he walking into a trap? The series comes to a beautifully illustrated tear-streaked end that I wish continued longer. The ending is good and comes naturally out of what's come before, but Spica Aoki had much more she wanted to say and the series deserved longer. I'm grateful for what was made though. Thank you for such a lovely little series. I'm quite interested in reading more of Aoki's comics!
This was truly an upsetting read, but not because of the story itself, but because of the consequences of having to conclude in just under 4 volumes. This is nothing against the manga artist. You can tell they were rushed to wrap up the story in this last volume; a story that truly would have benefitted from more time to be fleshed out properly. The flow was too fast, too abrupt. It left me feeling a bit dizzy. A very sad conclusion to this manga that had so much potential.
Wow, that ending JUST BARELY made sense. Its like watching someone driving a truck realize they're about to crash into a wall after going 80 mph, throwing on the brakes, only to stop JUST IN FRONT OF THE WALL. I wouldn't say the ending was bad, but to some degree it was predictable to a certain degree and was just slightly satisfying. This is a good, quick, short series that was fun to reread but does have some issues so take that into account.
Soooo, I thought certain major events would occur, and I was right. I wish it would have went better for both love interests, but I’m content with the open ending of this series. By that, I mean that we don’t really know what happens to all the other characters except Roy and Nina, so it is open to our own interpretation.
Also, the headmaster sucks. And reminds me of the actor Mads Mikkelsen in the show “Hannibal.”
I am in tears. The ending was beautiful. The plot twist was a little surprising. I was sad about what happened to on of the love interests, but I am over the moon with who Nina ends up with. These four books made me so happy. Definitely worth purchasing. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Please make this an anime!!
One of my most favourite mangas! I didn't manage to find it in english but i managed to find it in Russian and read it. Srlsy i cried so much in the last volume. Gilles deserved so much better. (i still don't like Angelica) Roy is a bae! Nina is so mentally strong which is really encouraging! The art is beautiful too. I love fluffy people :3
I loved this manga series! I may be a bit naive seeing as Beasts of Abigale Volume 1 was my first manga read ever. I'm torn about the series being only 4 volumes. On one hand I picked this series because it wasn't long and intimidating like some manga series can be but I do feel it was a rushed ending. I would reccomend!!!
Also vollkommen zufrieden gestellt hat mich dieser Abschluss nicht. Ich mag diese Reihe zwar unheimlich gerne, aber ich hatte mir damals, als ich sie angefangen habe zu lesen, irgendwie mehr davon erhofft.
Wow that ending was so moving. I really loved this series, because of how unique it was. I've come to really love the characters even though it was so short. I would have wanted an epilogue though. Would've been great to see if Nina and Roy are doing a few years later.
