Harmony Lipton isn’t like other kids. She’s shy & quiet… and a super-genius. She hides her brains because she hates standing out, but when her parents are killed and her long-lost grandfather reveals himself, she and her brother & sister embark on an amazing journey to discover the advanced technology that their family has kept hidden from the world. As she contends with nasty teachers, even nastier bullies, and the secrets her family has kept for over a century, Harmony will need to use all of her skill, brains, and bravery to survive in the school they call… Codiant.
Harmony is the exciting, thought-provoking, and action-packed debut novel from the new master of contemporary sci-fi, Nathaniel Brown.
Nathaniel Brown loves science fiction and the way it can help us explore ourselves and our foibles. He writes present-day sci-fi that deals with ideas of transcendence, mental health, human relationships and our responsibilities to the society we share. His writing is smooth and vivid, with interesting characters & compelling plots exploring big ideas.
He spent most of his teens and twenties writing; half-finished books and unreleased short stories litter the depths of his hard drives. Having worked in Media and Filmmaking for nearly 15 years, Nat knows his way around stories. As an author he now spends his days wandering suburban streets, drawing strange looks from his neighbours as he dictates his novels & short stories.
Nat lives in Perth, Western Australia with his wife, two young daughters and three cats.
