Yes, some concepts were good but they were mostly taken from other books and blogs. Could read better books and get same info. This was a waste of time.
Key points from headway- 1) Write your commitments for the next year in an app. Identify your core values and goals. Pick 5 main projects out of 25 you could concentrate on this year. Apply the SMART technique to make a 3-month goal for every five projects.
2) Plan your weekly review session. Define your obligations, priority projects and time you can this week. Apply the 80/20 method. Reserve time on your calendar for your tasks, leisure, and other activities. Try days dedicated to a certain theme and concentrate on hard tasks.
3) Group your small habits into one routine and complete it every day at the same time.
4) Challenge your reasons behind procrastination tendencies.
read kindle sample, finished on sat 2/3/18. More lecturing / browbeating than I liked, so didn't buy full book. (Already got my answer from Brooke Castillo, and this seems less well understood than her work.)
Nice and crisp. The author writes honestly and gives some really great tips to tackle problem areas! The tone is really motivating and makes you want to go and be your best self. Maybe I will pick up his next book on habit stacking - a concept I have heard of and one that he briefly discusses in this book. I started this book sitting in the office while I had nothing to do because my laptop decided to start automatically updating itself (I had procrastinated on it as much as I could, hitting 'remind me later' every time it asked!) so I just randomly opened my Kindle to read this and pass some time. Best hour and a half spent - I finished an entire book and got to learn some great tips.
How/Why I bought this book? I am the queen of procrastinating and I really want to put that bad habit behind me - I randomly typed 'books on how to stop procrastinating' on Amazon and this was the second or third in the result. It was pretty cheap too - the cheapest in fact, in all of the results, INR 6o for a Kindle copy. A good value for the time and money spent on it.
We all have our time procrastinating. Feeling as if we are overwhelmed with to do list and daily chores. At some point, we just shrug it off and tell yourself, "I'll do it later (or worst tomorrow)". The scam phrases as they say. We may not admit it, but we all had those times. This book has pointed out a lot of relatively relating scenarios that makes it fun to read. It provided tips and suggestions to fight iprocrastinating completely and slowly managing your time by doing them in small tasks. Some of them, we have already heard of in every self-help books, but the way he phrase them makes it totally convincing at most. Maybe, the part that had it a little bit annoying is the up and coming promotion on apps and other stuffs that make it looks like pop up ads on a movie. But, all in all it was a good worth reading book.

This is a good starting point for those who are struggling with procrastination. While most of the pages sound like repetition, there are some excellent compilation of ideas from other books of same genre. The author could have just compiled this book in just under 100 pages.
I strongly recommend the readers to read the other books referred in this...Following are the list I extracted from this book.
Good luck!
Carol Dweck’s - Mindset: The New Psychology of Success “The 7 Secrets of the Prolific: The Definitive Guide to Overcoming Procrastination, Perfectionism and Writer’s Block” by Hillary Rettig. Willpower by Roy F Baumeister and John Tierney. “The Top Five Regrets of the Dying” by Bronnie Ware. Mini habits by Stephen Guise.
All in all, the book is worth reading. It will motivate you to be productive and work even without motivation which I totally lack these days. Most importantly, it satisfied my curiousity and expectations. Backed up with facts and researches too!
9/10 overall rating. 10/10 if without the ad sales talk and redundancy.
I am right now giving 4 stars. Most of things are not new. It is more like assimilating many books into one single book in an logical organized fashion. I was trying to make my annual goals. Just took this help to create a framework. This book is mostly theory. It could have had some more anecdotes. Anyways it is crisp. I just build my framework as and when reading without reading line by line. I hope 2019 is better and great.
A bit too basic for my standards. Collection of familiar productivity tips, tools and techniques and overall a summary of standard motivational knowledge, that is useful, but I am not sure if it touches the problem on the deep level that procrastinators actually need :) I still enjoyed the tips. Again, focusing on small achievable tasks, using SMART goals, using pomodoro, using to-do lists, covers all the basics.
This book is VERY bid on lists. Make a list of your most important stuff then make a list of the least important stuff then make a list of the behaviors that tempt you to not finish the important stuff, etc. I highted a few good tips but ultimately there isn't much in here that breaks any new ground. Do unpleasant tasks first, tie that task to a reward, etc.
Short and good book. At first I thought that it is taking a little diversion from the original topic but very successfully expanded the subject to multiple domains solving intricacies in the subject of procrastination.
It is actually good advice. Many things you probably already know on your own but is good the read them and having them structured in a simple and organized manner. The book is a little repetitive but just like the title says, it is a simple guide to break procrastination habits.
He writes some things you might already know. Some ideas from other authors too, but i guess all these self development ideas are rather entangled, so i guess there's no harm in that. It least now i know what other authors to look for. Its a pretty good book, although a bit repetitive.
I read this book to procrastinate and I procrastinated reading this and I'm writing this review to procrastinate. It's repetitive and not really helpful for students. I learned a little, not much.
Obviously, I procrastinated about reading this book. It was on my Kindle for ages, but I'm very glad that I did in the end. Full of helpful hints that I saw immediate results from.
Not sure whichever came first, the examples are extremely similar to those that get blasted at you on social media. In the end, I find myself already doing what most of this book recommends. So I guess it wasn't really a helpful read, but just an reinforcement of what I already do.
Another book that could have been a blogpost. Its only virtue is that it talks about various different more seriouse books, and in doing that it could be considered a good introduction to the time management topic.
