This is an excellent book about the ship and its times. The ship was a patrol craft which engaged with German U-boats, then led the assault on Normandy. Squadron One was the squadron of all of the patrol craft. I have read many books about WWII patrol craft to research my book, Normandy: A Father's Ship and a Son's Curiosity. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
I feel I understand this subject and this is a good book.
