True paranormal stories told by a real ghost hunter from extremely haunted locations.
A cursed bed in an attic, an invisible man at an abandoned hotel, and a shadow demon above an Ouija board; these are just a few of the authentic experiences described by paranormal investigator Scott Brian. With a degree in archaeology, Scott has over a decade researching haunting encounters with apparitions and other ghostly phenomena. From poltergeist like activity to the occult, Scott uses methods and techniques barrowed from traditional science to study the unexplained.
Now Scott tells of his most thrilling and mysterious investigations over the past ten years. Haunted houses, ghosts, spirits and other supernatural entities are just some of the topics covered in Ghostology: Ghostly Attacks. Unlike other paranormal books, the Ghostology series goes beyond a carnival thrill ride, documenting real-life hauntings to research the afterlife.
Ghostology is meant for fans of the paranormal craving true nonfiction mysteries from a scientific view from parapsychology, anthropology and other studies. Scott’s story and life as a ghost hunter is meant to inspire readers to examine the possibilities of life after death. Every ancient and modern culture in the world has supernatural beliefs that include hauntings by the dead. Ghostology examines those beliefs in Scott’s home state of Idaho that can be applied to any place in the United States.
Readers can also visit Scott’s website Ghostology.com for links to video and audio clips from his paranormal investigations.
Am glad the author has his degree in archeology. Perhaps a future in theological studies await? As our 21st Century society continues to look at paranormal/occult reality television, as the desire for religion decreases, superstition finds hungry pupils more than ready to go "hunting for ghosts". I'm Catholic. I don't believe in benign ghosts. My Catechism teaches me when we die we go to heaven, hell, or purgatory. Those who are relegated to Purgatory are not permitted to speak to the living, tap on walls, roll around flashlights or play with talking dolls and/or other "trigger" objects. They are not allowed to interact with the living. Only a handful of incidents whereby the living were addressed by the dead are recorded by the Church. So, no, it ain't your Aunt Tilly letting you know she loves what you did with her old house you inherited when she went to her eternal reward. And following that logic, souls relegated to Heaven don't normally interact with the living. A one-time shot, maybe, to prevent tragedy. But then again, maybe it's an angel using that persons appearance to be more effective in doing Gods work? I don't know. So that leaves the damned. The souls consigned to eternal separation from the friendship of God. We are taught in the New Testament that unclean spirits are liars. They seek to steal, murder and destroy all of Gods creations. This trend of modern society to use the preturnatural as a means to an end bothers me. It's Entertainment! It's Spooky Kool! It's criminal in my opinion. And one more thing. About Annelies Michaels. It is my understanding that she is being investigated by the Holy See as quite possibly being a Victim Soul. That is where, as in this case, the young woman was approached in a vision by the Virgin Mary and asked if she would be willing to suffer for the salvation of German youth. Annalies said she would. There is much to be looked at in the realm of Angels. For those who believe no explanation is necessary. For those who do not believe, no explanation is possible.
I would give more stars if there were more stories in this book, or if there were more "heft" to the explanations of this author. Well edited, good grammar, no typos...enjoyable to read. If you're interested in Ghosrs, then you'll like this book!!
