USA Today Bestselling Author, ES Carter, lives in Cardiff, South Wales. The home of castles, dragons and folklore.
Her family joke that she was born with a book in her hand, and the urge to write stories soon followed.
At eleven, she won her school's literary prize. At ages fourteen to sixteen - her poetry phase after falling in love with Dylan Thomas and e.e. cummings - she had a few poems published, but life, love and family overtook her dreams, and she was in her thirties when she began the scary journey of self-publishing.
Her debut and internationally best-selling series, 'Love by Numbers', are a set of interconnected stand alone romances, all with varying themes of love. From second-chance to romantic comedy and M/M romance. These stories do not need to be read in order, in fact, she is often guilty of advising readers to start at the last book and work their way back through.
Contemporary romance is not the only genre she writes, her second series, 'The Red Order', is as dark and twisted as you can get, but there is beauty there too if you can open your eyes and look.
With many more stories bursting to be set free, she hopes you stay along for the ride.

Two is book seven in the Love by Numbers series by E.S. Carter. This is a continuation of their story that first began in book five entitled One. Isaac and Flynn. I think I love these two more than any couple of any gender that I’ve read about. Their love is so true, so deep, so real. But it is also new. And life is happening around them, keeping them miles apart, making waves, when all they really want to do is to stay in their own little bubble, in each other’s arms.

“He may not have been my beginning, but he is my end.”

two mens hands clasping

Flynn’s first movie role was such a success. He was excited to see where this new career could take him. But he wanted to do it on his own, without the offered help of Isaac’s brother. So he hired an agent and took on a new role. Filming has begun in Los Angeles. Which means he has to leave Isaac behind in London. Only this new director is not exactly pleasant to work for. And his new agent is not very accommodating. And every hour of every day he misses Isaac. Maybe an acting career isn’t really for him. All he really wants to do is go home to Isaac.

hollywood dream

Isaac’s photography career is back in full force. He has clients booked non-stop. He misses Flynn so much. But he is so busy with work, there is no way he can get away. At the same time, his brother Nate is struggling more than any of he or his brothers realized. They are all worried about him but Nate doesn’t want help.

“Love isn’t one plus one, love isn’t about being selfish. And love isn’t merely two. It’s one plus one, plus family, plus acceptance, plus trust, plus hope, times infinity.”

two hot men - Google Search

If I didn’t love Isaac enough in the first book, I love him even more now. Once again, Isaac is the one that steps up and takes care of things. He seems to be the go to guy, the one everyone can depend on that will somehow know what to do. He doesn’t think twice, he just does. Isaac and Flynn’s love is still relatively new, and they both are still learning as they go, everything is so new to them. But life doesn’t seem to care. They are tested by miles, family, and normal insecurities. Are they strong enough?

two hearts one love

So, get ready to sigh, swoon, smile, and fan yourself because these two are HOT! And prepare for the best epilogue ever! I’m actually really sad that this is over. I want more of these two. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. I’m hoping to see plenty more of them in future books. The next book in this series will feature Nate. I can’t wait.

“Knowing Isaac is my life’s greatest triumph. Loving Isaac is my life’s greatest blessing.”

Title: Two
Author: E.S. Carter
Genre: MM Romance
Type: Standalone book 7 of Love by Numbers series
POV: First Person – Dual (Male)
Rating:
3.75 Stars

Isaac (Iz) Fox and Flynn Phillips had their fair share of hurdles on their journey of becoming Two. They deserved their time together, but as their career picked up, separation was inevitable. While distance might make the hearts grow fonder, it could also breed fear and doubts. Now, they must find a balance to make it work as one.

I haven’t read all the books in the series but Iz will always be my favorite. I loved how much he cared for others. Flynn, on the other hand, can be a bit handful with his needs.

Isaac allows me to run but is always waiting for me to come back. He sets me free to chase my dreams even when I don’t know what those dreams are, and he never ever holds me back. In fact, he pushes me to be more, to do more.

I was expecting to get more of their story but I felt this book focused too much on a supporting character that put their story in the backseat. Personally, I prefer a bigger conflict between them instead of minor ones peppered throughout the book even though those showed the strength of their relationship. What I love the most about this book and the series, in general, is how family played a big role in the story.

And yes, he’d wounded me, but I’ve realised it wasn’t half as much as the pain he’d inflicted on himself.

Two is a story of balancing a relationship to find perfect happiness. It would appeal to readers who enjoy MM Romance.

Note: Each book in this series is a standalone but One is the beginning of Iz and Flynn's story.

In Two, we find Isaac Fox and Flynn Phillips together and committed to each other. Without interruption in the timeline from One, Flynn is pursuing an acting career and trying to adjust to being without Isaac while on set. For Isaac, he is secure in his profession and couldn’t be surer of his love for Flynn, but he also knows Flynn still struggles with insecurities. Though there are some hiccups, Isaac grounds Flynn.

“I’ve lived with this blemish. I’ve cultivated it. Who will I become if I heal?”

Starting this book, I was quite excited to get more of the magnanimous and sexy Mr. Fox and the combustible chemistry he shares with Flynn. While their dynamic was present, I wanted more interactions between them without peripheral character interference. As for Flynn, he learned how to navigate through his emotions and finally reconciled a longstanding matter.

“He may not have been my beginning, but he is my end.”

Overall, it was good to see Isaac and Flynn cement their relationship. The way Isaac cares for those he loves is often selfless and endearing. Of course, the attraction between these two remains passionate.

Two is a story about acceptance and finding one’s own way. This book will appeal to those looking for a heartfelt MM romance.

"My one that made us two."

Isaac (Iz) Fox and Flynn Phillips relationship did not started up easy, their love took time.  They went though a lot on book one to get where they were at as a couple and we get to see more of their struggles and relationship here.

Isaac always the supportive one was once again put in a corner when he was forced to step up and help one of his brothers.  He felt like finally his relationship was getting somewhere and he had to put Flynn second for his family even though that was not the case or the truth but he just couldn't helped feeling that way.

"Flynn is ingrained in every aspect of my world, my family, and me.  There is no Isaac without Flynn."

Flynn finds himself conflicted with his career choice and now battling his future he finds himself more needy than ever so when Isaac wasn't there he don't like it.  In all honestly I wanted to bitch slap Flynn more times than I could count on this book; his insecurities were over dramatic I felt like Isaac just didn't deserve the way he was acting.

"Love might make me crazy, but not loving Iz would be worse than insanity."

I liked that Flynn finally realized that no matter how far apart they both are from each other true love will stick through the end and Isaac was there to stay.  I enjoyed seeing some other characters in this story however; I think it might have taken too much story space because the ending felt a bit rushed.  I kinda was hoping for a little more detail or growth.  Overall; I still enjoyed this series though, it will be appealing to readers looking for a MM story.

Aaah the return of Iz and Flynn!

I loved their story in One and was so glad to hear we were going to see them again. This story shows that even in a solid relationship the road isn't always smooth. Insecurities raise their head here and distance between the couple shows some of the 'old' Flynn, but they know their strength is together. Prepare yourself for some seriously steamy heat within the turmoil.

There were moments in this story that particularly resonated for me, poking at all my sensitive spots and it left me needing Nate's story, although I fear I will never be ready.

I will always love the family dynamics of the Fox brothers, always demonstrated in their banter, but ultimately their 'drop everything' support of one another.

Two, a Love by Numbers book, by E.S. Carter is so heart wrenchingly good that you’ll want to hunt Ms. Carter down and tackle hug her.

Seriously, the feels are so deep and real.

I love the humor and wit that Carter infuses, while showing that even the most committed relationships and love have bumps and struggles.

But what matters is finding faith in yourself and each other. And knowing when to forgive and when to have that upmost faith that what you have is real.

Carter allows her characters to face struggles and she shows the depth of love for those who are not only our lovers but our family.

She shows us the light.

I truly feel in the depths of my soul, that Flynn and Iz will always be two of my favorite characters.

They are not perfect, but they love with all they have, and they’re both determined to be the better man for each other.

Isn’t that all we can ask for? Love, unconditional, and committed to the end.

“Love is one plus one times infinity.”

“Acceptance is Serenity.”

“Two is great, but when we are one, the rest of the world falls away.”

“Wherever you are, my home is with you.”

Now that’s a treasure. And Carter delivers it to us in these pages.

Two was a very good read.
We already met Isaac and Flynn in their book ONE.I've loved them, suffered with them and cheered for their happy ending.

Now they are a couple but their relationship is put once again to the test. They are struggling with their work commitments and some family crisis that keep them away from each other.
Will their love overcomes these hardships or their relationship has come to an end?

I really hope Mrs. Carter won't make us wait to long to release Nate's story.

He makes me need to hate him.
He makes me hate to need him

We both need some alone time. And I don’t care if I’m balls deep in him or him in me, but I need us to be connected. I need for us to be one.
Two is great, but when we are one the rest of the world falls away.
It’s just us.
Iz and Flynn.
The couple that should never have happened but thank fuck we did.

What a truly heart wrenching story this was,i absolutely loved this second book about Issac and Flynn, this carried on straight after One and i couldn't of wished for more from this emotional story line from this talented author.

This starts with both of them dealing and coping with there different careers and what with them both in a separate continent it is hard going as no one likes a long distance relationship when it is new.Communication is hard between Iz and Flynn as Flynn is not coping well in his new role as a actor, not helped by the idiot who is directing the film as he does not like Flynn at all and gives him grief all the time. This tests there feelings and strengths in the relationship and the struggles of depth of there love for each other.

Nothing is ever easy in life when you are in love and it's a new love, you have to give and take and this couple never have it easy at all.I loved them when they are together as as soon as they see each other it melts my heart the way they are around each other.

This book had all the feels and this ended far to fast for me,you need to read both these books One and Two to know what these characters went through to get to there hea and trust me you will fall in love with Iz and Flynn as much as i did as they are two sexy Hot males. You will need hanky's at the ready through out but especially the epilogue, i was so happy for this super special couple that i cried happy tears.

Two become one… It sounds a bit cheesy, but it does describe Isaac and Flynn perfectly. Their story started in One, and in Two the men are a committed couple, very much in love and living their life. I love this addition to Isaac and Flynn’s story.

Flynn and Isaac are happily in love, and very busy with their lives and jobs. Being a famous photographer and a model/actor means a lot of traveling, and sadly spending time apart. Add to that Isaac’s large family and the men have a lot on their plates. Not that they mind, they know it’s a part of who they are, but Isaac and Flynn hate being away from each other.

Isaac and Flynn are the same guys as before, but now they’re a solid, committed couple who don’t hide the love they have for each other. It isn’t always easy, but the guys both know they have found that one special person. I love Isaac and Flynn and the relationship they have; they are perfect for each other. And the ending? Just swoon…

Two is the 7th book in the ‘Love by Number Series’, and takes us readers back to Isaac and Flynn, and the Fox Family. The main story is obviously about the two guys in love, but there’s much more going on. Two makes me love Isaac and Flynn even more (is that possible?), but it also makes me oh so curious for Nate and his story. Please don’t leave us hanging for too long Mrs. Carter!

Iz and Flynn return in the much anticipated follow up to ‘One’, part of the author’s ‘Love By Numbers’ series.

‘Two’ finds Iz and Flynn dealing with life after falling in love. Working at their careers, coping with enforced separation and handling the problem of communicating when you’re not face to face, all conspire to test the strength of their feelings.

Add in some familial drama and a nosy paparazzi and Iz and Flynn have to work hard to maintain their bond. But when they do meet up, the sparks fly and the pages are scorched with the heat of their attraction. These boys are H.O.T.

The book was over far too soon for my liking; I could read about this couple all week long. The epilogue saw me crying happy tears as though I know these two personally. I really wish I did. Just perfect *happy sigh*

Oh this book, Eli Carter what have you done to me? Emotion, heartache, humour and a soul touching beautiful love. Iz and Flynn are so freaking hot 🔥🔥 I've loved their story from the very beginning of One (which you need to read first)

Flynn is still battling his insecurities, no thanks to not only his separation from Isaac (Iz) due to work, but the awful director on his current film role. He lashes out when he's hurting, but Iz is the one man who will never give up on him and when they are finally reunited, the sparks fly and their chemistry reignites.

The chemistry between these two is off the charts hot, but love is not plain sailing. Iz has an absolute heart of gold, he takes the weight of everyone's pain on his shoulders, always protecting the ones he loves. Can their love survive another test as Iz leaves to help his big brother Nate who desperately needs him?

I love both these two men, their story, emotions, heartache, humour and the wonderful words from ES Carter have kept me glued to the pages. But there is something special about Iz, he has that something extra that's hard to explain, but he has captivated me and stolen a piece of my heart. He has quickly become one of my all time favourite book boyfriends. Love that man ❤

Thankyou for a beautiful book, I hope there will be more from this world, I dont want to let any of these characters go. Will there be something about Nate? Please? Pretty please??

Isaac Fox and Flynn Phillips once were one but now are two.

These delicious men we met in "One" have accepted their love for one another, conquered their demons and broken the barriers that hid a mountain of pain from each of their tragic, troubled pasts to become one of the most beautiful partnerships I have seen grace a written page.

But life has a way of disrupting even the most determined love.

Isaac and Flynn have revealed their love to each other and the world but with their careers separating them by continents can their burgeoning love endure distance and doubt?

With Flynn struggling with his new career and it's pressures and Iz faced with a new family crisis, their faith and commitment to one another are tested.
Yet neither man is about to let the other go, and as determined as life is to separate them, they manage to fight their way back to one another to reaffirm the bond they've created.

And it's when these two come together that not only do they ignite the page with some of the hottest scenes I've ever read, but the depth of their love becomes vividly apparent and you can't help but swoon at their intense connection.

These men together made my heart sing, such is the exquisite imagery and emotion created by this talented author.
You feel each sentiment in your soul; I sighed out loud for them, cried with joy for them, hurt for them, and fought for them. I challenge you to read this story and not believe a love like theirs is possible!

"Because love isn't one plus one-love isn't about being selfish. And love isn't merely two. It's one plus one, plus family, plus acceptance, plus trust, plus hope, times infinity."

Well, Ms Carter has done it again!

I'm unsure how this author manages to make the reader feel as if they're watching on a movie screen, but my god, she does it well!! Her use of the english language is incredible and her descriptions are faultless. When you pick up an ES Carter novel, it's like reading poetry.
There is only one way to describe this story. Utterly beautiful.
ONE is the book preceeding this and it's where we first meet Iz and Flynn. I'll openly admit, I had never read any M/M storylined books before and this was my first. At the end of reading this first book, I knew I wanted more of these two particular characters. I love how much they love oneanother and the way they describe that love when they're apart.
Of course, the path of true love never runs smoothly and they came up against some difficult times. There is also the added angst in places (which I love!) and it all makes for a fabulous story.
TWO is also part of the Love By Numbers series and follows the Fox family through the turmoil of life. As always, Ms Carter has sown the seeds of stories to come within TWO and I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Can I also add, this review was hard to write, simply because I don't want to give anything away, but believe me when I say, I could read the whole duet over again, and still never get enough. Absolutely gorgeous!

Having read all of ES Carter’s published works, I’ve come to expect a certain level of writing and storytelling in her works. Ms Carter did not disappoint with Two. This book is a continuation of the story told in book One of Isaac and Flynn, yet she masterfully weaves the story so that it could easily be read as a stand-alone.

The book deals with the love and difficulties in any relationship. The pitfalls of having had a reputation as a playboy as well as how a couple manages to maintain intimacy during an extended separation over a long distance. And, just for kicks, she brings in more of the Fox brothers and the family obligations putting further stress on an already strained situation.

As always, Two left me breathless with its intricate beauty and the love and passion these characters felt. Every word was perfection and Two showed us just how separate ones can come together to become Two.

Don’t miss this book full of the kind of hope that keeps you on the edge of your seat, twisting your gut, rooting for this couple and unable to stop turning the pages. I received an advanced release e-copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank you ES Carter.

I absolutely adore this book and these characters. I want to be a part of the a Fox clan! I was so thrilled to get more of Iz and Flynn’s story!

Two is the second book in the One & Two Duet. One gave us a HFN ending but left us all clambering for more about this latest Fox brother and his soul mate.

“Because love isn’t one plus one—love isn’t about being selfish.
And love isn’t merely two.
It’s one plus one, plus family, plus acceptance, plus trust, plus hope, times infinity.”

In Two, emotions are high between Isaac and Flynn as Flynn deals with the director from hell and Isaac is stuck halfway across the globe with family issues. They have to cope long distance while navigating the insecurities that come along with their fairly new relationship.

“Knowing Isaac is my life’s greatest triumph.
Loving Isaac is my life’s greatest blessing.
And having him love me in return, is more than both of those things. It’s immeasurable. It’s incalculable. It’s infinite.”

A bit angsty and emotional, this story gave me ALL THE FEELS and left me with a little book hangover, but in the very best way.

I am always excited to read a new book by ES Carter but when the book is about MY boyfriend I can't contain myself.

"He may not have been my beginning, but he is my end. "

From the moment I read One Isaac became special to me. He is one of those person who accepts the things as they come and finds a way to fix things instead of asking why.

"" Babe, it wouldn't matter how many miles separated us. There isn't another person on earth that could ever get closer to me than you. ""

In Two, Isaac and Flynn are finally enjoying their love together and trying to find a way to get closer when the distance is so long. Somehow, they make it work but life will make them face some obstacles that could threat them to be together.

"Because love might make me crazy, but not loving Iz would be worse than insanity."

I loved how Flynn embraced and enjoy this new part of his life with Isaac. Both of them deserve happiness more than anyone and I enjoyed reading their new journey.

Two was beautiful but me, being me, will always need more of them.

" Loving Isaac is my life's greatest blessing. And having him love me in return, is more than both of those things. It's immeasurable. It's incalculable. It's infinite."

Note: You have to read One before Two.

Wow!!! When I read the book One, I absolutely fell in love with Isaac and Flynn, the Fox family and E.S. Carter’s writing, so I read every Love By Numbers book!! Two was perfect, Iz and Flynn have such a strong bond no matter how many miles apart, they always find each other. The book was emotional, family issues, timing issues, work stuff, but Iz and Flynn figure it out.

Flynn in LA filming a movie, Isaac back home in the UK taking photographs, the need to be with each other is great. Flynn is floundering and needs Iz, but Iz’s brother needs him too. Communication is the key and these two have a few issues in that department.

In the end, trust, love and family make everything possible. This book is a fantastic read, amazing writing, emotionally charged and well beautiful tats 💙💙

In ES Carter's newest Love By Numbers series, "Two", we are again reunited with Iz & Flynn in the sequel to their m/m romance/life that we started in "One".

As typical Carter style, the book's characters and plot will go through many emotions, many times wringing the reader dry through happiness as well as sadness. Carter can destroy her reader and put them back differently after "living" among the characters. But as with all of her books, you will quickly add her newest one to your TBR because you live for her stories.

The family dynamics thru all of the brothers continues to help the MC grow and have support as they go through their struggles.

I highly recommend this book, even if m/m is not your normal genre because as the saying goes "love is love" and ES Carter definitely shows that everyone deserves as well as needs love.

Isaac and Flynn are back!!

I’ve been dying to read the next part of Iz & Flynn’s story and I have to say my heart was in my mouth a few times 😫

One was my first MM book I read that the characters felt so real and so passionate that they have a special place in my heart for them, so when Two came around I was thinking what could be next for this duo.

Two has just hit me in all the feels, it was actually quite hard to read some of the struggles in their journey because they are ones that are so so relatable to everyday life, and it could easily be us. The mind and heart fighting it out to see who’s going to win overall.

It was great to hear about some of the Foxes and I’m soooooo hoping we’ll get to hear more about them soon ;)

Isaac & Flynn
One of my favourite duos
2 of my favourite men,
Thanks for the ride hopefully we get to see some more of you both soon.

I fell in love with Flynn and Iz in One. Their love story was a bit unexpected and wonderful all at the same time. So where is the author going to continue to take us in their journey? It's heartbreaking and wonderful at the same time.

Now the couple is tested for other reasons. As the reader we see their bonds of family tighten as their circle is tested in ways no one expected. Add in the unexpected pressures of celebrity, not everything seems as it is. But our heroes Flynn and Iz come out the better of it.

Once again ES Carter weaves her magic. Her storytelling is engaging - something that you can't put down and savor the words as your eyes cross the page. Two is a perfect continuation of not only Flynn and Iz about the entire Fox clan. I'm anxiously awaiting what is in store for the next story.

This is the continuation of Iz and Finns story. If you haven't read One, then I suggest you go back and read it first to get everything you should from this book.
These two men are just gorgeous.
They make me gooey inside! I just love them together. Finn has his insecurities which show themselves and Iz has his family ties pulling him in away but you just know they will be OK.
And Nate.... Can someone give him a hug!!!
I love the Fox clan and their family bond which we all wish we had.
I want to keep reading about them even when everyone is happy and settled!!
Eli is such and amazing author and I look forward to being swept into her wonderful words of the love by numbers series as much as her slightly twisted mind in the red order series.
Needless to say 5 stars yet again.

It was lovely to catch up with Iz and Flynn and step into their world. A world where couples sometimes have struggles. A world where there are two people with careers, and their individual issues. But they work through them. There's some hot scenes too. And we're given a fabulous epilogue that finishes the book perfectly.

Boy Found Home with Boy❣️

The next chapter in the romance between Photographer Issac & Fitness Guru/Actor Flynn. Insecurities, jealousy, split loyalties and family drama play parts in this love story. I enjoyed the characters, the family dynamics and the sexiness. Btw, very poetic writing style. A good read, I rate it 3⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
