Sometimes, we can forget that the Blessed Mother is a created being just like the rest of us. Though conceived without sin, she was human and had the same concerns, cares, joys, and sorrows that each of us have. In this practical look at Mary and the Holy Spirit, author Andi Oney demonstrates that while Mary's relationship with the Holy Spirit is a unique one, yet it is one that God wants for each of us. This book examines Mary's relationship with the Holy how she had to be choose to be open to the Holy Spirit, how she was guided by the Spirit, how she cooperated with the Spirit, and how her relationship with the Holy Spirit is a model worth emulating.
This was a book I read with my Sodality group from church. It was fulled with a lot of information about our Blessed Mother Mary, that I hadn’t known about. I really enjoyed it.
I had the pleasure of hearing Andi talk at a retreat, and this book just added much more to that talk. I thoroughly enjoyed the thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter, which put this book at another level of spiritual growth. Thank you for this book, and I look forward to reading more from Andi.
I started this book a long time ago. Yesterday, I decided it was time to finish it. It was the perfect time as Pentecost is approaching. One of the last chapters dealt with the gift of the Holy Spirit not only at Pentecost but throughout Mary's entire life.
