ALFA Investigations #2

Unlawful Desire

Rate this book
My fiancée ripped a piece of my heart out when I caught her with another man. It made me jaded, and I swore off relationships. But as with any plans, life had a way of making me its bitch.

When a way too young bombshell walked into my world, my heart began to beat again. Georgia asked me for one night—nothing more—and with no strings attached.

Our night of passion turned my universe upside down.

When she almost slipped out of my life, I knew I had to make her mine. Willing to do anything to protect her, I took justice into my own hands. My feelings for her brought out a side of me I thought I’d left behind.

I had to lose myself to be found again.

THREE FRISCO STARS.

"I had a huge problem. She could be my worst nightmare and my biggest regret."

description

I love to dive into a book by a 'new to me' author and I'm always excited to see what the reading world will offer me, so you can imagine that when I was given the opportunity to read and review 'Unlawful desire' that I was more than happy to oblige. With covers as gorgeous as Chelle Bliss provides I was doubly happy to indulge in some naughty romance time. 'Unlawful Desire' pressed some serious easy to read, dirty romance buttons. No stress, easy to read, the complete guilty pleasure escape. If smutty and a quick fix is what you are looking for then I have no doubt that this book will be to your liking. Hop aboard and meet this dirty talking PI, readers get ready for Frisco.

What's it all about?
Having had his fair share of ups and downs in the pursuit of a lasting love this private investigator has given up on love completely. Happy to find himself hooking up with one night stands, Frisco is certainly not interested in being set up by his friends. Especially with a girl that looks as temping as Georgia; the good girl Librarian who could double as a classic pin up girl. But when attraction coupled with her sassy mouth get involved he starts to find it difficult to continue saying no. Fireworks and drama ensue and Frisco and Georgia find themselves deeper than they ever expected.

What did I love?
This book most certainly raises the sexy stakes, it also provides a couple of hours of fun entertainment for those romance readers who don't mind a more than healthy dose of bad language and banter. The sexual tension came into play in this novel and I could sense that Chelle Bliss had fun creating a backdrop for this couple in fall in love. There is some added drama for readers to sink their teeth into and I was happy to see the author provide friendly comradery between the characters featured in this novel. This book includes a little of everything that I enjoy about this genre; sweet romance, a little bit of naughty, just enough drama and an ending that made me grin like a fool. All in all this was a likeable quickie, just enough to keep me interested but not quite enough to make me fall head over heels. This is a book that I was glad I picked up but won't be unforgettable.

Why not five?
With this being the first time that I had read any work by this author I was pleased to discover that Chelle Bliss has more than a few tricks up her sleeve. This author's ability to weave together an erotic romance tale was spot on but there were just a few things that didn't quite reach the mark for me to give a higher rating. I struggled to believe the authenticity of this couples connection, I don't know if it was the length of the book but I felt like everything was on fast forward and before I knew where I was at with the unfolding plot the hero and heroine were already half way to falling in love. I also struggled to muster up much love for both hero and heroine, again I don't know if it was because I didn't have enough 'time' with the characters to be able to really love them but I certainly appreciated them towards the end of the book. All in all this was a very likeable, albeit quick erotic romance which had plenty of steam but unfortunately it had a few moments where I found myself distracted or dare I say feeling a like lacklustre. But don't despair I've seen other five star reviews that fell in love with this short novel, so I'm partly convinced that existing Chelle bliss fans are sure to be falling in love with Frisco and Georgia and their pursuit of love. I'm happy to say that this author is now on my reading map and I hope to be reading more of her releases to come.

Final thoughts ...
This won't be the last time that I'll grab a book by Chelle bliss. In fact I'm curious about other books in this series now that I've had a glimpse of this author's other entertaining characters. Sexy, fun filled and a little cheeky, readers get ready for some Frisco time. Release day is on September 22nd ... Enjoy, kisses.

It kills me to give such a low rating to a Chelle Bliss book, but this one was just not for me.

Frisco is finally getting over his ex-fiance who cheated on him, he just wants to do the playboy thing and commit to no one for now. But when his buddy City's wife see's that he has finally gotten over the betrayal of his ex she sets him up with her friend Georgia. Frisco is instantly ready to say, "no way" to the set up, then he see's the gorgeous girl and figures he might as well talk to her, at least. Talking is all he wants though, so after a conversation he leaves without even saying goodbye and plans to never see her again.

Getting set up again, this time without his knowledge, Frisco and Georgia meet again at a bar. Georgia tells him she only want's one night with him, and that he can do. But after their night together he changes his mind and realizes he can't let her get away from him. Now he has to go after his girl.

This book gave me whiplash and made me so confused as to what was going on. First Frisco didn't want to even meet Georgia, than they talked and he liked her until he found out her age. He was less than ten years older than her!!! Stop freaking out, big baby! Anyway, then they have one night together, only fooling around because Georgia is saving her virginity, and his friend tells Frisco that she was crying the next morning because Frisco told her he didn't think they should see each other again (we didn't get to see that part) but when we see Georgia with Frisco again she seem's fine and even a little flirty. So...heh? Then their next time fooling around he decides that she's his and he want's to be with only her.

So yeah, I didn't understand this book at all and the characters made no sense to me. I couldn't feel the romance between them and after the first 30% I started getting ridiculously bored. Then there was a whole big thing with Frisco and Georgia's dad and they were going to do something that I didn't understand at all and it just didn't play out well, to me. Also near the end Georgia broke her foot and then time skipped three weeks and the cruches didn't get mentioned again...pretty sure a broken leg takes longer than three weeks to heal. Just saying.

The ending skipped around a lot, time wise and I didn't like that either. We skipped three weeks, then three months, then some more months and I felt like we were losing some of the story. Overall, this story just didn't do it for me (if you couldn't tell by my rant) and I couldn't understand it or feel any connection while reading. No, not my favorite book, but if you like a tatted up P.I and a good girl librarian, try this book!

Unlawful Desire by Chelle Bliss was such a fun sexy read!!!! I didn't read the blurb and totally went in blind and I was surprised in a good way since it was light on drama and angst. Unlawful Desire was one of those reads that had you giggling and smiling throughout the book as readers navigate through Frisco's relationship with Georgia.

#UnlawfulDesire

Frisco is the newest member to join the ALFA Private Investigation Team and was your hot, brooding, sexy alpha male who has sworn off on relationships after discovering his fiancé cheated on him. Frisco Jones has no problem with attracting the ladies since practically all he has to do is give them the look and the ladies are ready to drop their panties.

When Frisco's friend, Sunshine, decided to meddle in his love life, he didn't expect to be attracted to Georgia. Georgia is a young 22 year old librarian, who was a walking bombshell. Frisco knew he had to stay away from her since she was too young. But as it turns out, he couldn't stay away. One taste and one kiss was all it took for him to be addicted to this sexy, innocent yet feisty librarian.

Georgia and Frisco's relationship was smoking hot and adorable. These two are too cute for words. I absolutely adored these two. Georgia was such a feisty, fun, and flirty heroine who easily stole the book with her personality. And as for Frisco, how could you not fall for him. He was sweet, funny, and sexy.

Chelle Bliss totally made Unlawful Desire so much fun!!! I loved how the book was in Frisco's POV and we get a male's perspective on life, friends, family and love. What I really loved about the book was that Ms. Bliss didn't rush Frisco and Georgia's relationship. She allowed the couple to really get to know each other and let their relationship blossomed into something more meaningful. So if you are looking for a book that reminds you that age is only a number and that second chances do exist then I highly recommend you to read Unlawful Desire because the unlawful thing to do is not add this book on your TBR.

Unlawful Desire was the second book in the ALFA Private Investigation series by Chelle Bliss.

Frisco was the gorgeous thirty one year old PI. He had just gotten out of a bad relationship and no longer believed in love. He currently wanted no attachments and associated only with women who wanted the same.

Georgia was the sexy librarian friend of Suzy (Throttle Me, Men of Ink). She was twenty-two beautiful, independent, snarky and strong. She too just got out of a bad relationship but still believed love was out there somewhere.

Unlawful Desire was told in a single POV, Frisco's. It was refreshing to read a male point of view only. Bliss outlined their meeting and Frisco's hangup with Georgia's age and innocence. The sparks flew like crazy and he knew he could fall hard, but it would end bad and he had no desire to go down that road with someone as sweet and innocent as Georgia.

I loved the banter between the two. I also loved the humor, devotion and bond between the PI guys, all of which had been introduced previously. They continued to add depth and dimension to the series as well as bring an abundance of fun.

In the end, it was a quick and sweet read for me. I enjoyed Frisco, Georgia, all of the supporting characters and the humor that was mixed throughout. I'm now looking forward to Bear's story next in Wicked Impulse.

2.5-3 Frisco and Georgia Stars

This was an ok read. I enjoy books about P.I. / Alpha males. This wouldn't be a book that I would re read though. The heroine was sweet/ innocent one minute then swearing and bolshy the next. She is younger than Frisco by about 8 years, but honestly, at times he seemed like the younger one. For Me, their behaviour (and that of their friends ) seemed very juvenile.

It's just my opinion and there are lots of higher ratings out there for this book. I would try the next in the series, just because this one didn't tick all the boxes for me doesn't mean the next one won't. I like this genre

Chelle Bliss does a great job of giving her readers a true alpha male in looks, attitude, and perspective. In Unlawful Desire, Bliss tells Frisco Jones’ story through his own eyes, so readers get to truly understand his reluctance in getting into any kind of relationship more than a sexual one due to his past with his cheating fiancée. We also get to witness the bond that Frisco has with the other members of the ALFA Private Investigation Team and his brotherly friendships with his crew from the Neon Cowboy.

Frisco Jones’ hesitancy to start anything with Georgia regardless of Sunshine’s persistence and his obvious desire for Georgia makes perfect sense; he’s broken from his last relationship, which is clear from his internal thoughts and outward hot/cold actions, but what I had a bit of a hard time with was the fact that Frisco worked so hard to distance himself from Georgia but then he quickly goes all in and can’t get enough of her – their ping pong relationship gave me whiplash at times. Don’t get me wrong…I do understand Frisco’s reactions and his ultimate decision to be with Georgia, but I’m not sure if I just didn’t feel a solid connection between them before he was all in or the fact that it felt like Frisco was more pressured into starting it in the first place that I couldn’t wrap fully wrap my head around his change of heart.

As separate characters, I loved Frisco and Georgia; they’re both straight shooters who are a bit jaded from their past relationships. Regardless of their age difference and Georgia’s innocence, her sassiness and playfulness get under Frisco’s skin and make him rethink numerous times in the beginning that he should just give into his desires for her. But as a couple I struggled because Frisco seemed to be fighting against her through the first half of the story and then when they reach a point that he’s willing to try, it gets deep quickly, which I had a hard time with because it never felt like a foundation was built between them to have such deep feelings.

Regardless of my feelings of a missed connection, I enjoyed hanging out with Frisco, some of the Gallos and his buddies from the Neon Cowboy. The one feeling I always have when I read one of Bliss’ books is that there’s definitely a sense of love and camaraderie among the lead/secondary characters, which is illustrated through their banter and the playful antics they get into on a regular basis. A sense of family resonates off of the pages as they all willingly work to have each other’s back and even step over boundaries thinking it’s for the other’s own good.

I really hope Bear’s story is up next because he’s definitely an interesting character who has a lot to say regardless if anyone listens.

absolutely fell in love with Frisco and he might be my favorite character from this author!! (I MIGHT love City more, I can’t decide!) I also loved this book even more than the first book in this series. Frisco has had his heart broken and he is stubbornly refusing to get involved with another woman, that is, until he meets Georgia.

These two could not be more opposite, she is much younger than Frisco, bookish, inexperienced, but very sweet and VERY beautiful. Frisco knows he should stay away but he is insanely attracted to her.

“I had a huge problem. She could be my worst nightmare and my biggest regret.”

Chelle Bliss always infuses her books with a strong sense of friendship and family. I love that about her books because all of her characters seem very grounded and this book is no different. I feel in love with Frisco and with Georgia and was rooting for them to be together. And a male POV…Chelle Bliss writes some of THE best male POV’s around!! Frisco is a dirty-talking Alpha who knows what he wants and protects what’s his.

If you loved the Gallo family books, you will adore this Unlawful Desire. This book has the same strong characters, fast-paced story line without unnecessary angst and tons of steamy, sexy scenes. Chelle Bliss’ writing keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait to read her next book!!

Frisco is so far one of my favorite characters Chelle has ever created, right behind City. He is determined that after his ex-fiancé broke his heart, and his trust in women, he doesn’t need a relationship ever again.

Georgia is young, and that alone is the reason Frisco is trying desperately to stay away. She is determined though, and she knows how to play the game. He is in way over his head.

This book… I am not even sure what to say without sounding like an ADHD patient hopped up excitement! Ms. Bliss has a way with words and her books get better and better as she introduces us to new characters, while letting us peek back into the lives of the previous ones.

The passion she clearly has for writing stories that will move a person to feel exactly what the characters are going through is easily seen in every page of every book. I only hope I can continue to be lucky enough to keep reading them for as long as she will write. ~ Devlynn, 5 stars

Unlawful Desire is a breath-of-fresh air---a sweet story with a touch of sexy and a delicious delight of a book that you can’t help but devour. Deviating from her usual super sexy and suspenseful books, Chelle Bliss’ Unlawful Desire is lighter on heat and hot talk but heavier on heart and soul. Unlawful Desire is a refreshing romance that will rock your world. It’s a tale of hope, heartbreak, healing, and happiness in the quest for true love.

Frisco, a hot, tall, and tatted former Navy Seal, is the newest Alpha Private Investigation Team member. All alpha. Sex on legs from head to toe. Burned in the past and done with commitments, girlfriends, and anything beyond a ‘wham, bam, and thank you, ma’am,’ Frisco is a reigning member of the pussy party. Manwhore galore.

“Pussy was a recreational activity. Variety is the spice of life, right? Who wanted to be nailed down to one woman? I sure as hell didn’t.”

Frisco didn’t count on a beautiful, brazen, and blunt 10-years younger librarian, Georgia to challenge his manwhore card. Holy insta-chemistry at first sight! Suzie or Sunshine’s friend, and match that he dreaded, may well play out indeed.

“She looked like a vision, but a f**king young one. She’d be a perfect pinup model, and she came straight out of my wet dreams.”

Frisco knows from the start that Georgia is on his mind, challenging him and his man parts to behave and not dip into the relationship pool where he’ll sink into heartbreak. Frisco is attracted to the innocent yet naughty librarian who is nothing like the bimbos of his ‘bang in bed and bolt’ encounters. Mr. Manwhore wants a bit of gorgeous Georgia who is the perfect of mix of innocent and sexy that he needs to sample. Like yesterday. No relationship---just a taste of Georgia

“Even her laugh made me hard. I had a huge problem. She could be my worst nightmare and my biggest regret. Georgia needed to not be on my mind.”

Georgia is seeping into Frisco’s heart and head, and has him at a crossroads between wanting to own her panties or the entire package. Burned at love, Frisco is unsure if he can dive into the relationship waters again even if this woman feels like his life boat.

“Georgia was more than I’d ever imagined and everything I couldn’t have.”

Chelle Bliss is terrifically talented in transforming words to reality, bringing characters to life and making you fall in love with them, plopping you right into the story, and giving you huge case of the feels every step of the way.

REVIEW

This is the second book in the ALFA PI series and this is Frisco’s story.

Frisco has finally cut off his cheating ex and is getting back to being his kind of normal. When at a party Sunshine (Suzie, City’s wife) sees this she tries to set him up with her friend Georgia. Frisco is not happy about this and even more so when he finds out her age (younger than him by about a decade) he decides she is one female he should stay clear of. However, due to further interference from Sunshine he finds himself on a date with Georgia and things take off from there. His resolve to stay away keeps being kicked to the kerb, so he decides to go with the flow and see how things pan out with the sexy and sassy woman.

Although I enjoyed this book it wasn’t as good as the other books I have read by Chelle Bliss. I just didn’t ‘feel’ for Georgia and at times it felt a little too young new adult for my personal taste. I also was expecting Frisco to be a lot more mega alpha but he came off as more of a pushover and a sweetie which in itself is not a bad thing but I just wanted him to be more domineering. As for Suzie, I didn’t recognise her and her character was so different and quite aggressive. What has marriage done to her?

As expected from this author the passion was steamy and explosive. I would have liked more of a connection between the pairing to give the romance a more solid foundation to add to the hot action between the sheets.

Loved the camaraderie between the guys at ALFA and great to observe their teasing interaction with each other. I also liked the guys at the bar and big hunky Tank (hope to find out more about him in the series)

Overall a punchy and sassy addition to the series and a good quick easy read to fall into. 3.5/4 stars.

Honestly I didn’t like anybody in the beginning of this book especially the way they behaved and it never got much better because I never felt any connection with these two at all. The way the guys were betting on the waitress was just nasty, and frankly nothing about Frisco impressed me from the first chapter. Then we have Suzy being a pushy nosy busy body that was a complete turn off and Georgia a too young (and acted like it) to interest me heroine. The first night at the bar was enough for me to know this heroine was not for me, seriously pushy much. It really didn’t work for me when Georgia just took it upon herself to stay the night at Frisco’s and then actually let out that little bombshell, sorry but her behavior and that revelation, just no for me. Of course then it went downhill from there with Georgia’s behavior the next day, then City and Suzy’s butting in like assholes. City acted like a little bitch in this one, I was really disappointed in him. So at the 35% mark I skimmed quite a bit because there was seriously no saving this one for me after all this.

So yeah this one was not a great read for me right off the bat. It sucks because I was really looking forward to Frisco’s story but it seems since the first books in the MoI series the characters (especially the females) have just gone downhill. This one was the worst though because I didn’t like either Frisco or Georgia, or Tank, or Bear, or even Suzy and City in this one. Just like the last one Frisco had a raving meddlesome bitch for a mother, seriously what happened to the awesomeness of Mrs. Gallo, the past two mothers made me want to see them stabbed. I did however actually like Georgia’s parents, just not Georgia. Normally the plot or actual story can save it for me but there wasn’t even any twists of interest so there just wasn’t any saving this one for me, sorry.

The reaction Frisco had of his woman being a librarian, "I choked, almost spitting all over the bar. “A librarian?” My eyes widened. When the eff did librarians become hot?" Frisco doesn't hold anything back, “I liked you from the moment I saw you . Eff, you gave me wood the first time you smiled at me.” Frisco loves to tease his woman Georgia and him are perfect for each other, "I stalked forward with my ***k in my hand and stopped inches from her face. “You don’t want to touch it?” I really loved this book, I think this one was better than the first one in this series.

Chelle Bliss has blown me away again with this fantastic story.

In this book we get to read Friscos story. He's broken by his ex cheating on him. He doesn't want to get involved in another relationship so settles for one night stands.
Suzie introduces him to Georgia. He tries to push her away even though he could easily fall for her.
This was a super read. I read this in one sitting which seems to be the norm for me with Chelles books.
The secondary characters are brilliant. Amazing read full of angst, romance, hot sexy scenes and laugh out loud moments.

Seriously, Chelle Bliss does it again! The boys at ALFA Investigations just get hotter and hotter! I adored Frisco and Georgia together and the ending with his parents -- his mother specifically -- will leave you laughing at loud. There were so many funny and romantic moments in this story that make me want to re-read it again....NOW! This is definitely a book, and series, to add to your TBR lists.

Loved it! Way better than the first one (which was a disappointment).

I am going to add that I though the last 10% of the book where Frisco's mom comes to visit till the end was the best part.

Chelle Bliss has blown my mind with her ability to create a world you can't help but get lost in!! Unlawful Desire stole a piece of my heart right along with Sinful Intent, but THIS book without a doubt triumphs the first book in the ALFA PI Series. Hilariously intriguing, giddy encounters, and more steam than a little bit THIS book has it all!!

Frisco is cocky, arrogant, and an a*hole at times. To say he is smooth would be the understatement of the year, but he has this "thing" about him that turns every conceited, douche-baggery move he makes into a completely irresistible act. He's a true sweetie, loyal to the T, and a MAN above all else. He is also closed off and not looking for a relationship because he's been burnt by love.

Georgia is a ball busting, slick talking, funny man eater!! She takes no crap from no man, including her over protective father. Cheated on by her ex, she too has stopped believing in the one thing that caused her heart to beat erratically. Love. But that won't stop her from having a good time and going after what she wants.

Being inside Frisco's head from beginning to end was unlike anything I have ever known. This man. THIS FREAKING MAN!! His thoughts, actions and words will literally take you on a ride showing us firsthand how it looks, feels and sounds to fall in love. To be in love. While Georgia will shine through his point of views allowing you to see her strength, her humor and her love for him you will also witness how she became his everything without him even realizing it until it was too late.

Unlawful Desire is full of emotional moments, but there is also those moments that cause a smile to be permanently etched on your face, a laugh to escape your throat and your heart to beat a little faster. Chelle Bliss has wooed me once again, stealing me from Morgan's grasp as she throws me head first into everything that is Frisco Jones!!

Final Thoughts: Frisco, can I be your Felicia? ;)

P.S. If you thought Fran was a hoot, wait until you meet Mrs. Jones!! I started this book with one book mama and ended it with two. Comical mothers, protective ALFA's, hot sex and connections truer than the color blue, THIS series is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

So, I'm actually on the fence for this one. There really was not much drama at all...I was hoping for something more in tune with the PI agency like there was in Sinful Intent so there would be suspense. Here in Unlawful Desire, it was mostly sexual tension, conflict over the age difference between Frisco and Georgia, and the bit of drama over the accident.

A big plus for this story is Frisco's character, who I absolutely loved. Strong alpha male, hot and sexy of course (this wouldn't be a Chelle Bliss book without that thank goodness!), and hurt from his past with his ex. Georgia was a good female lead, though at times her naïveté did show. My big character gripe for this story was Suzy. Over the course of the Men of Inked series and now here, she's developing into a kind of annoying and pushy person--nothing like the Sunshine I adored from Throttle Me--and City just going along with her just doesn't fit with the City who's been my favorite through all of the books. They both just seem miles away from the characters they once were, which for me detracts from the story in Unlawful Desire.

I did enjoy the banter between Frisco and Georgia, and the hot and steamy scenes between them were excellent. I just felt like the story got away from what I thought the series would be, making it more about the personal relationship with no strong suspense element.

If you're already a Chelle Bliss fan, you'll enjoy this addition to the series...be advised, this is for the 18+ crowd due to plentiful adult coarse language in addition to those hot and steamy adult scenes.

Oh my! Frisco totally stole my heart. He is everything you are looking for in the hero of a book. Hot, sensitive, a bad-ass who is sexier than all get out... I think he may be my favorite male character so far from Chelle.

Frisco is wanting to just live his life. After finding his fiancé with another guy, he is done with romance and finding the perfect girl. He's enjoying his life of hookups here and there and diving into his new job at ALFA PI. The only problem is that City's wife Sunshine is ready to set him up with the perfect girl. And once Sunshine sets her find to something... watch out.

Frisco has to admit, Sunshine's friend Georgia is hot. The only thing is, she looks really young and totally not his type. A librarian?? No way. Sparks fly between the two even though Frisco tries everything within him to do the right thing and walk away

Frisco and Georgia are so much fun. I had a permanent smile on my face while reading this book. I totally fell for Frisco and Georgia, I kinda need her as my BFF.

Looking for a hot and steamy, fun read? Pick up Unlawful Desire. You won't be disappointed.

This book was so much fun!

Unlawful Desire was definitely sexy, so sweet, really funny and easy on the drama. Once I started, I couldn't put it down, it was that addicting and enjoyable.

Frisco hold nothing back, but he wasn't an unstoppable jerk. He was considerate, respectful, sweet and an adorable alpha (yes, that is possible), but also oh so wonderfully dirty.

Georgia was sassy, she gave as good as she took and she was the perfect match for Frisco. She was adorable and she carried this innocence about her that made her all the more alluring. At the same time, she was witty, sharp, she knew what she wanted and she went for it.

Their banter was so funny, their chemistry was off the charts, their families were completely insane and their feelings were ever growing no matter what obstacles life threw at them.

I loved every minute of this book and I'm in love with this series.

Frisco and Felicia...Who doesn't remember this love of a lifetime in General Hospital?? That's exactly what we got with Frisco and Georgia! It was a little slow in the beginning but it picked up. I love a good ole fashion love story and this is what this story was..without revealing too much. I just fell in love with feisty Georgia and her take control attitude and I loved Frisco's kind and gentle ways but hot when he needed to be. To me it was a different type of story and I loved it.

Unlawful Desire by Chelle Bliss
Frisco and Georgia
MARK THIS DAY IN THE BOOKS GUYS... SUNSHINE SWORE!

Well, as usual, Chelle delivers a star studded addition to the ALFA PI series. I know, I know I say this every damn time she puts a book out... but this one is her best one yet! This one pulls on every last damn heartstring you have! It will make you laugh right after you've cried your eyes out! This is the second addition to Chelle's new ALFA PI series and I'm looking forward to the next installment! What a breathtaking love story!

Frisco is one of those guys you admire from afar. You know he's hot, you know he's arrogant, and you know you just don't stand a chance with him. He has this enormous heart, but who he selects to let in there and see his vulnerable side is counted on one hand. He's witty, comical, and all kinds of entertaining! How I'd love to be a fly on the wall at the Neon Cowboy listening to the boys rant and pick on each other!

Georgia is so damn adorable! I just wanna eat that beotch up! She's so spunky and has a mouth on her, oh boy! At first I thought she was going to be a quiet little thing... WRONG... she's got opinions and she's not afraid to let them known. I'm glad she wasn't so much an outsider, but someone Suzy already knew and could guide down the path of least resistance! That doesn't mean Georgia took that path...lol... just means Suzy is a meddling punk who makes sure shit happens!!

Great supporting characters cast... I love me some Bear! That's a gonna be a crazy story there... the guys nothing but hardcore all the way around... can't wait to see if Chelle ever softens out his rough exterior! It was great to see City, Suzy, Thomas, James, and Sam again. Those are some characters I'll never forget! Especially Suzy... that girl was crackin' me up with her match maker bullcrap! So. Damn. Cute. One character I'm still not sure I like is Frisco's Mother. She seemed very condescending and kind of pissed me off. I wanted to throat punch her a few times!!

Well, Unlawful Desire is not a dark read... in fact it's a sweet love story with a few bumps in the road! The characters are extremely likable and very relatable. The writing style was effortless to read and the pacing flowed with an exceptionally steady speed. The highs and lows that lead up to the climax were just right and held my attention from cover to cover! Loved it!

Sorry ppl. I didnt like this story..

Frisco - Chapter starts with this guy going at it with his ex.He leaves her stating she would never forget him and will come back begging for more.

Why this is weird?
She is his ex - i have no issues with rebonding theme or just casual theme..BUT
She is his ex because she cheated on him and left him heartbroken

Was i supposed to sympathize and understand that he was behaving like an ass because she broke his heart

Then WHY SLEEP WITH HER? he says " she gave it freely" - ISN'T THAT WHY YOU DUMPED HER???!!!
description

I can see the parts of a narcissist here..
description

Then he meets his friends. Usually, when this happens, i get interested to know the story of one of his friends which will be the next book and will always pay attention when the character comes in..

Bear - description

For the first time - i didn't like the main guy and his friends. and i have not even got to the story yet..

His friends' girlfriend,Suzy tries to set him up on a blind date with one of her friends. he resists and then agrees when he sees how hot she is..

the female lead - she is younger than him. he rejects her because of this and normally we would see something like this.

description

But what does she do? she tags along with Suzy to stalk meet him. She tells him, she just wants a good time. And he agrees.

description

After making out, he dumps her again. And she cries to her friend saying he rejected her and what not.
description

Again Suzy brings them together and throughout the first couple of chapters Frisco comes across as a douchebag who thinks all girls will fall at his feet and the girl comes across like a brainless twit.. i just skimmed the rest..

I dont think i can continue the series. I might try Chelle's books later once i have got over this one, but it might take a long time.

I LOVED Frisco's story!! Funny and sexy... and all from his POV. I'd like to say... after reading Sinful Intent and Unlawful Desire, I want to work at Alpha PI. That office sees more action than a p*rn site. :) Lunch hour is more like HAPPYending hour. Ooh, la la!

Not only did I absolutely love Frisco, but I just adored our heroine, Georgia. Sexy, independent and bold; she's one strong woman and definitely what Frisco needed. He was so jaded from his last relationship that her persistence gave him the kick in the butt that he needed. He focused on small issues as reasons not to pursue Georgia instead of focusing on their chemistry and compatibility and I'm thankful she was sta right forward enough to set him straight.

Together, they were just perfect. Though they were a result of instalove, their relationship actually developed slowly and over a small bit of time. This gave them the opportunity to really get to know each other and resulted in a more solid foundation for those two.

Once they reached the level of sexual interaction, every encounter was the equivalent to a fireworks display. They were smokin' hot and sensual and erotic. These two were off the charts sexy!!

I can't wait to find out who is next! I would really like to see Bear get his second chance.

★★★★ 1/2

Frisco and Georgia's story is absolutely amazing. I read this book in one sitting, it's just that good.

Frisco is a man scorned, cheated on by his ex-fiancé and swearing off relationships. He finally is able to move on in a pretty amazing way, but still not looking for anything except for a hook-up. When Suzie and City get involved in Frisco's love life, he has no choice but to agree to meet this girl that they swear would be perfect for him.

Georgia is nothing like Frisco expected. She's feisty, hilarious, and a strong woman. He's scared of what he could feel for her, and uses her age as a way to push her away. Keeping away from Georgia ends up not being an easy task, and things between these two definitely get interesting.

I loved falling in love with Frisco and Georgia, as they fell in love. Their story is raw, sweet, fun, and really, really hot. I adored Georgia's character and I admire her for choices she has made in her life. She's full of spark and quick comebacks, and she doesn't take crap from anyone. Frisco didn't want to believe he could find happiness, but Georgia is relentless in her pursuit of him, and when he finally gave in, it was amazing.

I adored the more laid back scenes in this book. Frisco's mom... OMG this lady is a hoot, and maybe a bit crazy (glad she's not mine). This book had me laughing, and swooning all at once. I love how Chelle Bliss pulls in characters from previous titles and allows us to see how those characters are doing. Some of the best parts of this story is how close this group of characters are. Each of them play a huge part in each other's lives and them finding their loves. The guys give each other crap, but they know when to lay off.

I really enjoyed Sinful Intent (book 1) but Unlawful Desire is definitely my favorite in this series so far. There is just something about Frisco and Georgia's story that I couldn't help but fall in love with. Both of these characters are beautifully written and I couldn't help but fall in love with them while reading this book. I highly recommend picking up Unlawful Desire today so you can fall in love with these two amazing characters and their story!

Favorite Quotes:

“In all honesty, a girl with the name of Georgia probably wasn’t my bag of chips. I liked Brandys, Candys, and Trixies right now.”

“Georgia was more than I’d ever imagined and everything I couldn’t have.”

“I classified myself as a nice guy, but I had a bunch of asshole hidden beneath the surface.”

“I swear, we had the oddest conversations. It was a back-and-forth, much like tennis but without the grunting.”

“Georgia was like an unexplored book, and I planned to turn the pages chapter by chapter and give her every experience possible.”

“I can’t imagine a day without you at my side, an hour without your smile, a minute without hearing your laugh, and a second without you in my life.”

“The one who made me weak in the knees with a simple glance and the one who stole my breath every time she walked into the room. I’d live my life with no regrets and love her as she deserved for eternity.”

“You look so beautiful I couldn’t help but hold my breath. I thought that somehow I had been dreaming this moment, and that if I even blinked, it would all disappear,”

My Review:

Chelle Bliss never fails to entertain. Her words have me alternating between gasping and fanning myself during her steamy love scenes; and smirking and chuckling during her frequent sprinkles of humor and clever banter. She has mad skills and make it all too easy to totally slip away into another’s world and fall into their drama, comedy, and secret inner musings. I adore her tough-softy alpha and ALFA men as well as the feisty women (mothers and lovers) that bring them to heel and in due course - to heal. Her couples ultimately save each other, although it generally takes them a little while to realize and accept that fact, and I take great pleasure in being witness to their journey. But what has my pea brain currently spinning in the shell is how she could create such an erotic story while still maintain a main character’s chastity through 75% of a book! Sigh - only Chelle Bliss!

There were two people losing their virginity in this story, one of them you will discover reading this book and the other person was me. I've now popped my Chelle Bliss book cherry and found it very satisfying.

There is just something so hot & satisfying, reading about alpha men who go gaga over a woman and then get all fiercely protective of them. These sorts of guys have often given their mates shit about being pussy whipped. It happens when they least expect it. It just creeps up on them and then, boom! They are helpless to prevent the invasion of their heart and mind, once 'the one' resides there. Resistance is futile.

Frisco is a relationship kind of guy, well he thought he was until his heart was broken by his cheating fiance. Women are all the same, only good for one thing and that's all he needs right now. One day he might settle down again but for now he is happy to play the field with lots of no strings attached sexcapades. He is a very virile man after all.

He gets introduced (set-up) to a girl one night at a friend's place. Georgia. She is young, beautiful and screams of innocence. Everything in him tells him to run away from her, as fast as he can. She is too 'good' and he is the last person she should be interested.

Initially I thought that Georgia was going to be all swoony and vulnerable but I was so wrong. This chick has a lot of kick arse attitude under those innocent looking eyes. She does have strong morals however that she strives to lives to up but she can see something in Frisco that just draws her to him.

I think that Frisco is freaked the feck out by this girl and can't seem to understand why she even wants to be friends with him. The more they get to know each other the deeper their connection is until there is just no end to their connection.

This book is filled with lust, love, romance and HOT steamy sex. Yet woven into that is a sweet story about two people finding each other. This book is perfect escapism from everyday life.
