The Witches of Keating Hollow series has been a blast. I’ve been devouring the books off Kindle Unlimited.
I just love the small town of Keating Hollow. It’s a wonderful magical community where everyone knows everyone and what’s going on. Each book in the series brings us a new couple to enjoy as well as new drama and emotional struggles. I just love the light magical feel and the heartfelt romances. This series is full of facing what life throughs at us, healing oneself, finding love and family and friendships.
Dreams of the Witch
Another emotional read. This one doesn’t disappoint. This one features the youngest Townsend sister, Faith. When mom reaches out to the youngest life changes and the sisters have to deiced what they will do. It features abandonment, addiction, loss, orphans and foster families. Theirs plenty of surprises, drama and a few laughs. The romance has its bumpy moments and secrets, but Hunter works hard to earn Faith’s trust again. It’s got great friendship and family love. Plus a lovely small town full of magic.
This is a great addition to The Witches of Keaton’s Hollow, it does not disappoint. There are plenty of surprises,, drama, and a few laughs. The characters had me turning the pages to see what would happen next. I look forward to reading what happens next.
Dreams of a Witch by Deanna Chase is the fourth book in the Witches of Keating Hollow series. Faith Townsend has been working the last six months with her hunky contractor, Hunter to create A Touch of Magic, her new luxury spa. Faith just had a wonderful soft opening and works up the nerve to ask Hunter out to dinner. Unfortunately, Hunter fails to arrive and later sends a text that he had to leave town unexpectedly. Five months later, Hunter returns with a woman and a little girl in tow. Hunter has not stopped thinking about Faith and the undeniable attraction between them. Faith reluctantly agrees to go out with Hunter when he asks, but will his secrets ruin their budding relationship. Faith is shocked when she gets a letter from her mother, Gabrielle who left her family twenty-one years ago. Faith would like answers, but she does not wish to upset her father who is undergoing cancer treatments. Life is about to take an unexpected turn for Faith. Come along to Keating Hollow to find out what happens next.
Dreams of a Witch takes readers back to Keating Hollow where we rejoin the Townsend clan. I recommend reading the Witches of Keating Hollow series in order as they build upon each other. Each book involves a different Townsend sister along with the citizens of Keating Hollow and the extended Townend clan. I found Dreams of a Witch to be well-written and it goes along at a quick pace. Deanna Chase has an engaging writing style that draws the reader into the story. Faith is a smart woman who is working hard to get her new business off the ground. She has been attracted to her contractor, Hunter from the beginning, but she waited until he completed work on the spa. Then Hunter blows off their date and she does not hear from him again until he returns to town five months later (I would be miffed). Hunter will need to work to earn Faith’s trust again and those of the townspeople if he wishes to work (Faith is not the only person he neglected when he left town). Dreams of a Witch does contain foul language along with references to a certain male body part (real and fake). There is humor as the group enjoys golf cart racing with the aid of their magic and a unique Christmas musical number. There is a joyful wedding and a peek at the next couple to be featured in the Witches of Keating Hollow series. Dreams of the Witch has romance, family, misunderstandings, magic, drama, friendship and joviality. Let the Townsend clan charm you in the enchanted romantic tale Dreams of the Witch.
Hells Bells this series took a bit of a dark and dismal turn, but I greatly applaud Chase for bravely facing difficult subjects that most authors shy from. Abandonment, addiction, loss, orphans and foster families… in that sense this book could be a bit of a trigger for anyone who’s been in a similar situation. She really does NOT candy coat the struggles of addiction and how it affects everyone around the addict. Not just the short-term struggles; the long-term effects as well. The emotional, the physical… nothing is as rosy as the previous books. I’ll be honest, this book was gut-wrenching and after reading about 3 previous sisters and their history & childhood, you have formed such a bond with them that you really do feel their pain as they struggle to face their most painful childhood memory – the abandonment of their mother. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but from the beginning, this book is FULL of surprises, twists, and turns. None of which you ever see coming. It really is like a soap opera and made me audibly gasp in shock several times throughout the book. If you’re sensitive, keep on truckin’. You’ll be glad you did. It does wrap up the sisters’ stories pretty well, but there are plenty other stories for other friends and minor characters within the town to keep going. Looking forward to what will come next!
Content: no sex scenes but there is a scene with flaming dildos in the sky- it was hilarious
I am really enjoying this series. The town Keating Hollows has enchanted me. This story was no different. I really liked Faith and Hunter. Again Hunter was such a strong hero. He was honest, thoughtful and just all around an incredible guy. This book had some real drama in it. The first being Faiths mother ,Gia who decides to return. ***SPOILERS***
Turns out Gia is an addict. Has been for over 20 years. This can sometimes be a huge trigger for me as I have dealt with addiction in close family. Sometimes when books handle the aspect of addiction they portray it wrong. This of course is my own personal experience weighing in on my opinion. I LOVED LOVED LOVED how this author handled it. Gia wants back in her daughters lives and wants forgiveness.
“Forgiveness is a hard ask.” “That’s why it’s more for you than her. If you can let go of the pain, you’ll be better for it.” That is so so true but there is more to it then that. The biggest problems I’ve had with books touching this topic is that the characters are just supposed to forgive bc it’s an addiction a disease. So when I read that I was a little worried that is how it would happen. The addict comes back, begs for forgiveness and it’s granted, eventually. This author though, she went deeper with it and I loved it. Hunter stole my respect throughout the book but this, this right here made me feel like he truly understood what it’s like living with an addict
“Addiction or not, actions have consequences. And while I hope she gets better, for her sake and everyone’s around her, forgiveness isn’t something she deserves from me. It’s something she’ll need to earn”
Now onto the dynamic in the book I didn’t quite think was needed. Vivian and Zoey, Hunter’s best friends wife and daughter. Hunter promises to take care of them so he moves them home with him. Too bad Vivian wants them to be a real family. Ok I can see this, it adds another level to this story. The issue I have is Zoey turns out to be Hunters kid but none of them knew that till his bed friend was in the accident and needed blood. Vivian claims she “could have” loved Hunter if he had given her a chance. The timeline though!!! It doesn’t make sense. Everyone thought Zoey was Craig’s kid. So what Vivian slept with Hunter they break up and then within weeks sleeps with his best friend. But her feelings are so strong she could have loved him? I just don’t understand why this had to be a twist in the story. Because all the other sisters had an insta family Faith needed on to? That is the only part of the story I couldn’t quite get behind.
The rest of it I absolutely loved. I loved Hunters dedication to Faith and Zoey. That he didn’t back away from his feelings. Such good characters. I am loving this series
“You care about me?” she asked, not surprised, but wanting to hear him say the words again. “I think you know the answer to that question, but just in case you don’t, here it is… I’m falling for you, Faith. I could no sooner stay away from you while you’re in pain than I could Zoey when her dad was fighting for his life. That’s how much I care about you.”
From the closing of Spirit of the Witch, I knew who Faith’s eventual partner was going to be. But I didn’t expect the journey that she took to get there. Like all of the books in the Keating Hollows series so far, there were some unexpected wrenches thrown into their romance. Ones that came from an external source and led to a whole lot of unforeseen complications. Hunter and Faith, as with all of the other happily ever afters in this series do eventually find their way to one another. But I really enjoyed the way that they eventually find their way to their own version of happily ever after. Part of why I enjoy this series so much is that there is always a happily ever after, but enough emotional angst to make me really want to finish the story. Chase hit all of the points of this perfectly.
Hunter’s history took a number of unexpected turns throughout this story. I was expecting there to be problems with his best friend’s widow, Vivian from her actions early on. But there were a number of other complications that completely took over. He spends a lot of this story in a situation which could potentially paint him as the bad guy. And yet, he is completely sympathetic. Rather than be annoyed at the blunders that he makes and the ways he manages to cause problems in his own relationship, it all came from a really caring place. Often in romances, I get frustrated at one or the other character for their pigheadedness and unwillingness to communicate. But that really wasn’t the case with Dreams of the Witch.
Faith and the Townsend sisters’ mother leaving has been a big driver in all of their stories. But I really wasn’t expecting their mother to come back after twenty-one years. The extra complications this throws up in Hunter and Faiths’ relationship hurt my heart a little. Plus, it was interesting how someone who abandoned her children is able to justify her actions. Or at least, try to. The fact that her history is entangled with Hunter’s makes it all that much more intense. But, I love how that story arc ended with Faith finally being able to put the past behind her and start moving forwards to her own happily ever after.
Faith and Hunter’s journey was really sweet and fun, and I can’t wait to dive into Courage of the Witch. I love how the end of it gives hints for the next story – Hanna and Rhys. Not only did it close out the romances of the four Townsend sisters beautifully, but it also starts off the next romances. I can’t wait to see what is bugging Rhys and just how Hanna chooses to get past his nonsense. I read this story in one sitting, and will probably do the same for the next of the Keating Hollows Witches romances.
Faith Townsend, the youngest of the four Townsend sisters, has seen all three of her older sisters meet and fall in love with their soul mates. Could she be next? Could the sexy contractor she found living in her soon-to-be-renovated spa be "the one" for her? Hiring contractor, Hunter McCormick, allowed Faith's dream of opening her very own spa to come to life. The chemistry between the two of them was electric. Ready to act on it after working closely for six months, Faith finally asks Hunter to dinner. They agree it is time to take their relationship to the next level. However, an emergency comes up and leaves Faith stood up. Hunter disappears.
Faith's magic, water magic, didn't shine as brightly as her sisters'. She had to work at it. It was only once she decided to become a massage therapist that her magic came easily to her and helped her find the kinks and work them out for her clients. Determined to make her spa into the one of her dreams, she focuses on work and barely thinks of the man who disappeared one night six months ago... Until she runs into him at her sister's bookstore, with a lady friend and a little girl in tow.
Vivian and Zoe, the family emergency he needed to take care of six months ago, are now living with Hunter in Keating Hollow. Arriving after the death of her husband, Vivian would like nothing less than to make a family with Hunter, taking the place of his best friend (Vivian's husband) who recently passed away.
Though both Faith and Hunter long for what they could have, trust issues continue to get in between them. Add to that the sudden reappearance of her long-lost mother, Gabriel, and Faith's life has turned upside down. Can communication and understanding rebuild the bonds broken by a lack of trust?
This is my least favorite of the four tomes of the Keating Hollow storyline. I was often left with a feeling of "come on, just communicate for gosh sakes" more than a few times. I did enjoy understanding more about the backstory of their mother's disappearnce years before, and I look forward to seeing where the next book takes me.

Each Townsend sister’s story is featured in one of these awesome books. Book 4 focuses on Faith and Hunter’s story.
Hunter McCormick is the contractor working on building Faith’s spa, A Touch of Magic. After 6 months of work, it was just about ready to open to the residents of Keating Hollow. Allegedly wanting to thank him for all his work, Faith invites Hunter to dinner. Hours after he was due to pick her up, he still hadn’t shown up! A text message from him later not only confirmed his bailing out on their date, but he actually left town completely with no explanation.
After 5 months have passed with no contact whatsoever, Hunter comes back to town with a woman and a child! What reason could there be for this? Were they a real family now? What is Faith supposed to think?
Faith had forgotten about a letter she had stuffed in her pocket earlier. She finally opened it and could not believe it was from her mother who had left them 21 years ago when Faith, Abby, Noel, and Yvette were children! After all this time, her mother wanted to see her again! Faith isn’t sure she wants thank, despite the questions she has. When she asks her family for an opinion, they have mixed feelings. Will she choose to talk to her mother? What could be so urgent to bring her back after all these years? And what other secrets will be revealed?
This is another incredible book from this author. If the reader walks away without feeling like a member of this family, go back and read it again – you obviously missed something! The love just pulls everyone in, and believe me, it makes you care about the wonderful characters the author has created. The story line is amazing too, with communication being a key component to sorting things out! The answer to so much of the mystery is out there. You won’t want to miss this one – it’s definitely a keeper!
I first fell in love with amazing series with the first book, Soul of the Witch and have eagerly awaited each book that followed. Each book centers on one of the four Townsend sisters with this last one about Faith, the baby of the family. I have come to think of them all as friends now, having invested all of my emotions while reading along and boy, does Deanna Chase know how to hit them…hard at times! With their father recovering and in remission from cancer, each sister has gone through the wringer in her own life but they all still manage to be there for each other and for their beloved dad. He is the strong one of the family, having raised the girls alone when his wife and their mother walked out on them twenty-one years ago and never looked back…until now. Faith receives a letter from their long, lost mother and is in a turmoil of what to do about it. Should she meet with her to hear her excuses or just ignore this woman who is a stranger to her now and always wonder what would have been said? With twists and turns throughout this story, I was never sure which way things would go and with a few surprises thrown in this quickly became my favorite book of the series. I was pleasantly made happy at the end of the story to find out that there will be a book five to continue this wonderful story line of a family filled with so much love for each other that when I finish each book, I am left with total contentment. I can say without a doubt that this is a wonderful book and if you are looking for an enjoyable story line, want to lose yourself for a few hours and not have to think about life and just love that “feel good” feeling after finishing a book then this is definitely for you. Thank you once again Deanna Chase for such an enjoyable and entertaining story.
I couldn't put this book down! The Townsend sisters are back and it's Faith's turn to find the love of her life. Faith met Hunter in the last book, he is her contractor, the man building her spa. After leaving her hanging on their first date then leaving town for six months, she's hurt and isn't sure she wants to give him another chance. When he comes back to town with another woman and a child, well, she's even less sure. It doesn't look good for Faith and Hunter, will they be able to sort out all that has happened?
Faith, Abby, Noel, and Yvette's mom left them when they were children. All of a sudden, Faith get a letter from her mom. She wants to see her again. Faith is torn, Linc Townsend is okay with whatever she decides, Abby and Yvette think she should call their mom, and Noel is angry and very against it. When Lincoln gets sick, their mom decides to come to town and it causes some problems. Especially for Faith and Hunter when she learns his connection to her mother.
This book is a great addition to an excellent series. I think it may actually be my favorite in the series. I can't wait for book five when Hannah gets her story! I was afraid when the final Townsend sister got her HEA the series would end, but no. The end of the books is written like the end of the rest of the books, like there is another love story in the making. And book five is mentioned after the book ends. Deanna is continuing the Witches of Keating Hollow series and I for one am very happy about that.
if there were more than 5 stars Dreams of the Witch would so have it...
I'm going to start at the end and just say 'Well Done' Hannah, I am looking forward to the next book sooooo much after that ending.
Now back to the main event Faith and Hunter, talk about an emotional rollercoaster, I mean each previous story in the Witches of Keating Hollow series have been high on drama and emotional rollercoasters but Faith and Hunters story just hit me harder and a few times throughout I wanted to hit Hunter hard to...lol
Faith's story was bound to be brutally emotional things with the Townsend Sisters were building with each story so there had to be a final kapow even though it's not the final story in the series it was the final Townsend Sister and boy did Deanna Chase deliver drama, turmoil, tears and romance in one fantastic story.
In the beginning, I was turning each page cursing Hunter so much then wondering why he came back at all and the drama just kept building and building until it all exploded.
This whole story was like watching a train wreck in slow motion thank goodness that by the end of the story the train didn't completely wreck it just kinda went off the rails a bit before righting itself...lol
Healing hurts that rocks a famy and learning to trust

Out of nowhere Faith receives a letter from her long absent mother and life as Faith knows it goes out the window. Gabra Zackman Performance was great in this one like it was in the others. She made you feel each character and action
I truly enjoyed this book. I enjoy getting to know the characters and seeing how their lives continue to connect and develop. Looking forward to reading the next one.
Amazon synopsis: Faith Townsend’s life is going exactly as planned. The spa she recently opened is thriving and she has a handsome new man in her life. But when she receives a letter from the mother who walked out on her when she was just five years old, Faith’s perfect world is turned upside down.
Hunter Mccormick has spent the last ten years on the move, trying to outrun his demons. But now that he’s found Keating Hollow and Faith Townsend, he’s determined to make the town his home. Life is good right up until old secrets are revealed, and Hunter is in danger of losing the only person he’s ever cared about. Hunter will have to find a way to re-earn Faith’s trust if he wants to be the one to fulfill the dreams of the witch.
Excellent! Be ready for some thinking, romance, laughter and some tears. This book is about family dynamics, relationships, misunderstandings and love. Let’s start with Faith and her feelings for Hunter and where will they go. So many surprises in this book and you will clearly understand why there is lots of problems, some misunderstandings and lack of communication. The Townsend Family’s past will come onto play linked with a surprise for you the reader. And now let’s mention Hunter’s past will surprise you as well. The Townsend girls will have some revelations which tie into another character, surprise! Who knew witches could get into trouble making potions but you will find it an eye opener. The ending is awesome and I hope Hanna is next as someone needs to learn a lesson. I highly recommend this book and recommend this series!
This book was a wonderful addition to the Keating Hollow’s world. One thing I know, and I’ve said this before, when I read a book by Ms. Chase, I’ll get an uplifting, romantic, fun tale that is sure to make me cry. And, yes, this book was all that. I enjoyed getting to know Faith in this book, and I was surprised by the appearance of the sisters’ mother, including how she fit in to the present. I was a little worried we would have to leave this world, but we get a glimpse of the next resident of Keating Hollow’s love story. I can’t wait to read it! Please try this series even if you aren’t into paranormal. These elements are few, and the books are so worth it. As I’ve said before, if you love romance, you really need to try this author, and I can’t recommend her enough to those who do! I was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.
Faith Townsand's spa is beautiful everyone loves it, she has a hot handy man in her life that wants to take things to the next level plus she has plans to add on to her business. Then things get turned upside down when her hottie leaves town just before their first date. Men! Will she ever find what her sisters have? Hunter McCormick has been on the move for years but in Keating Hollow with Faith he could have a real home. But then he gets a call and drops everything for almost year. It's a good reason. Now he's back but with baggage. Can he win Faith 's trust back ? What they both need is a touch of magic! This story has drama but is also has fun and lots of it! I love the characters even the ones I hate lol. It's well written , pulls you into the story and takes you on the adventure with them. So much fun. In one word " amazing " don't miss it.
Faith is the youngest of the Townsend sisters and is opening a high end Spa in Keating Hollow. Hunter is her Contractor. The chemistry is immediate and they are having a hard time not starting a relationship, but then Hunter leaves and is gone for 5 months. Faith is contacted by her Mom who left them when Faith was 5 and wants to talk. This brings all the emotions back for the whole family. Then Hunter reappears with Vivian and Zoey and wants to work on his relationship with Faith. This is a good, fast reading book. You find out what happened to the sister’s Mom. There’s a back story to Vivian and Zoey that comes out. I like Faith and Hunter’s characters both have emotional baggage to work through but still want to pursue their relationship. I have enjoyed all the books I have read in the series and will continue reading the series.
I'm so in love with this entire series!! I can't wait for book 5 to come out. Shock of all shocks...in this book a blast from the Townsend clans past comes roaring back.....guess who? Dear old mum. Where the heck has she been, why did she stay away, and why leave without a word in the first place? Even. Bigger shocker is that this estranged woman has a role in the man that Faith has feelings for....Hunter. read ahead and find out all the shocking things that happen in this wonderful and bewitching tale....in a magical town filled with witches...even they have mortal issues. Family, friends, love, pain.....which of these come into play here? I HIGHLY recommend this and all the books in this series!!
This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the Witches of Keating Hollow series written by Deanna Chase. Faith Townsend’s life is going exactly as planned. The spa she recently opened is thriving and she has a handsome new man in her life. But when she receives a letter from the mother who walked out on her when she was just four years old, Faith is determined to find her… even if it means losing everything she’s worked for. This is a great book with well-developed characters. Once I started reading this book I didn’t want to put the book down until the end. I can’t wait to read then next book by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
Another cute story, although it's starting to get quite repetitive. So far every single one of them has ended with an instant family. Really? Once was good, twice was ok, but four times? And while I appreciate the human interest bits, there is waaay too much drama and not enough "paranormal" for a so called paranormal romance, especially considering how short the books really are. Although I have to admit making the last chapter of the book a segue to the next is smart move.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the books I've read so far, it's just that lately I'm in the mood for a little more steam, a lot more magic, shifters or something and with the drama in the form of action and adventure rather than.. tv soap drama.
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. A small town in northern California where paranormal live. The Townsend family is a family of witches who live there. A father who owns a local brewery as well as an orchard and his four daughters. This is the fourth book in the series and so far each book has focused on one of the different sisters. It focuses on each one of their lives and what is going on at that time. There’s always some type of mystery involved whether it be a crime and murder or just not right mystery. A little bit of romance tossing a bunch of magic and a great storyline and you’ll be entertained from beginning to end. Check it out
This book is full of drama for the sisters of Keating’s Hollow, their drug addicted mother comes back from who knows where and the secret she’s been keeping is finally revealed to the family. Gabriel tries desperately to get back into Faith’s life but fails miserably. Faith falls in love but is unable to say the words then dates someone else who tells her politely to be honest with herself and not let the other man go. But the other man has a daughter with another woman who wants him back in her life. Like I said, drama. There is more drama in the book but I wouldn’t want to spoil all of it for you. lol. It has humor in it too with the Townsend sisters as usual but sadly no golf cart races in this book. It is a fun read and easy read.
I am a big fan of series since they let you keep up with loved characters. This entry is the last of the Townsend sisters and adds the resolution to the disappearing mom plot.
I didn’t really notice till this book that all the sisters found themselves in blended families, and it had to be written out for me to notice. I am taking that as a good thing since it means it wasn’t forced down the readers’ throats.
The series continues beyond this entry with long time family friends in book five. I hope there will be more of them to come since she does write good characters, my primary criteria for reading.
This story of Faith and Hunter was just sweet! Many unexpected turns in this book that readers who have been with the series since book 1 will be very surprised! I find myself anxious each time Lin has an 'episode' but thank goodness he always bounces back! Several things I enjoy about this series (1) the very tight relationship within the family, no matter what. (2) The portrayal of the men who feel time spent with their kids, regardless of the situation, is a priority. (3) The women in the series are confident with good female friendships to keep them boosted. I am looking forward to reading the next novel is this great series!
This is the story of the youngest Townsend sister, Faith. She’s just opened her new spa and has fallen for her contractor, Hunter. Both Faith and Hunter have parental drama from their childhood, and when Faith’s mother decides to visit after abandoning her family long ago, she’s not entirely welcomed. This book had a little twist in it, and some drama but it was a feel good story, like each in the series, that left you feeling happy. I’ve enjoyed reading about each of the sisters finding their happy ever after, and I hope there’s more stories to come.
Another great story in the world of Keating Hollow and the Townsend family. This novel focuses on Faith, the youngest, and has so many great twists that I never saw coming. Passion smolders beneath the surface as Hunter and Faith unite with a love that is strong and true. This book wraps itself around you and keeps its old on your heart and mind right up to the end. And the tease for the next tale in this series has me excited and intrigued. Well written with great characters and a solid storyline. Highly recommended.
This book is all about excusing bad behavior. It ends on a note that suggests the next book will be about excusing the deplorable behavior of a man toward women, while the one was excusing the criminal acts and abusive behavior of an addict. The horrible situations and circumstances in this book totally overshadowed any fun or humor or romance. I hate starting a book series and not being able to finish it but I am thinking about stopping here.
