Layla Valentine has penned another 5-Star read in the San Bravado Billionaires' Club series with Book 6, Bought By The Boss. Book 6 gives the readers a look into Hunter & Marie's connection while their chemsitry is smokin', this book is better for those 18 or older. Without giving too much of the storyline or plot, Maria & Hunter wind up going out after Hunter decides to 'fill in' for Marie's blind date. After spending the night together, with a bump in the road that night added to Marie confession, Hunter decides to 'buy' Marie time and companionship for 2 weeks, for a price, of course. How can Marie say no, given she is trying to get her sister out of a bad financial situation. What Hunter didn't anticipate was falling for Marie, the kind of falling that might mean he found his soulmate, but what does Hunter do when he clearly isn't ready for Marie or a real relationship? He handles it The only way he knows how, go out of the country and have his HR department to handle terminating Marie. Confused, surprised & missing Hunter more than she ever thought she would. Can these two navigate their smokin chemistry, their unplanned soulmate connection and turn it into a HEA! There's something about a girl named Maria!
Author, Layla Valentine has written a BDSM-lite story. Her Characters, Maria, the temp worker and Hunter, the billionaire boss have a date by accident. It turns out great. Enough so that she comes clean with her sister's sad story of loan shark and the need of big bucks. Hunter's solution is to buy Maria for two weeks at $50k. She agrees. Deeper feelings begin by both and they decide to go public as being in a relationship. But then there's a crisis in Japan and Hunter needs to leave immediately and doesn't want Maria to come along. He's having second thoughts and sees this trip as a perfect way to escape. The cherry on the top is that Maria is fired by his HR Dept on the last day and the $50k was deposited.
So is this it? He really isn't cut out for relationships and therefore Maria must move on and grieve him while finding another job.
I liked this story and was not turned off in the lest by the BDSM-lite at all. The storyline was well written and the characters were well developed and showed meaningful insight. I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Maria and Hunter. Maria has just lost out on a temp job and her friend is determined to set her up on a blind date. Though she is feeling down in the dumps she agrees to go. While waiting for her date she has a couple of dates. So when a handsome man comes up and complements her she asks if he is her date. He says yes and then they head somewhere else. Little does she know the man she left with isn't really her blind date. All Hunter can think of is how much he wants this woman. So when the gig is up he comes clean hoping this will still get him a whole night of fun. However neither of them knew where their night would end up. Can they find a HEA or will on choice change everything?

This is a great book that shows us what can happen when we stop looking. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Hunter was attracted to Maria so he pretended to be her blind date. Once he came clean about who he was they were enjoying the night so much they didn't care. When he catches her trying to steal from him Hunter decides to offer her a solution to her problem all the while planning on punishing her well. Marie's sister is drowning debt that her soon to be ex husband left her so when Hunter offers her a lot of money to work for him she jumps at the chance to be able to save her sister. When Hunter realizes he is developing serious feeling for Maria it scares him and has him do an unthinkable thing. Have HR fire Maria while he is out of the country for work. Maria is heartbroken because she thought they had something special. Will Maria give Hunter a second chance? Can Hunter prove he is the man for Maria?


This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Hunter and Maria is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This is the sixth book in the San Bravado Billionaires' Club Book by the best selling author, Layla Valentine and it is one of her best stories yet in my opinion. With fabulous characters of Maria and Hunter. She goes on a blind date and he cuts in, making her think that he is her date. But he isn't! She steals a watch from him but when she goes to return it she realises that it's gone. What is she to do? Well what she has to do, according to Hunter, is pay...in her time acting as his submissive for two weeks. What is going to happen between this mouth-wateringly handsome billionaire and Maria? Will they find real emotions and not just the passion that sparks between them whenever they're in the same room? Beautifully written, this fast paced read is full of steam and will keep you from wanting to put it down until you've reached the conclusion. Well worth the read. Brought by the boss, is the story of Hunter and Maria, a billionaire and an unemployed girl with family debts. When Maria thinks she is stood up by her blind date, a hot guy comes to her and steals her away, when she finds out, he introduce himself as Hunter Larsen, billionaire but interest on her. They both spend time with each other, she breaks her dating rule and end up in his home, in his bed, before stealing a watch from him. Next day he confronts her with her steal and when knows he need, he comes up with an arrangement that could profit both them in different way. But in the course of time, they steal each other's heart.

I liked everything in the book, but somewhere felt, that Maria is more concerned to the part that Hunter is a billionaire than a man she in love. So I'm giving this book to 4 star.

There were some moments that I really enjoyed in this book. The author did a great job of creating characters with aspects that at times were delightful and others cringeworthy. I liked the initial feel from him as a dominant alpha male. She was perfect throughout most of the book, although at first, I was fascinated by her immediate submission. I didn't feel it was believable. But the author played on my fascination by making their encounters feel like chess pieces and I found myself liking her more and more. The same can't be said of him. If he was a strong dominant male, the actions halfway through the storyline did not ring true. He wouldn't be wavering back and forth. He would be decisive. He would make a decision and stick to it. If he had any doubts, he would have played them out immediately. Overall, it was a good book.

This is my 3rd book by Layla, and I love an author who writes in dual point of view. Maria is down on her luck with finding a job when she meets Hunter on her blind date at a bar. The two go back to his apartment where she is overwhelmed with his wealth so pockets one of his watches to help her sister. Before Maria can return the watch after the best night of her life, Hunter catches her. Hunter offers her a personal secretary job for 2 weeks to pay her sister’s debt, but he can do what he wants to Maria at night. Maria accepts the offer and soon finds herself falling for Hunter on their business trip. But when Hunter terminates the job early, Maria is devastated. Will Hunter realize what he lost, before it is too late? You have to read to find out.

A one-night stand with a billionaire lands our heroine in a bit of trouble. What price will she pay to fix it?

A struggling young woman and a billionaire with some kinks. Heard of that one before? Good, then you know what to expect story-wise.

What you won't know until you read it, however, is that the story is very well written, the characters have depth and are very engaging, and the plot has a few kinks of its own. This was an easy read and a very enjoyable one. There are multiple sex scenes which are very steamy, but there are also lots of opportunities to get to know the characters outside of the bedroom. I found it to be a very enjoyable mix. And let's not forget the ending: a very satisfying HEA. So come for the journey, stay for the romance.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading this story about Maria and Hunter. She's unemployed trying to pay bills and he's a billionaire real estate Guru. She meets him at a restaurant where she's to meet Mike on a blind date. Hunter let's her think he's Mike and wisks her if to the Pier. Once she realizes he's not her date but that she's having fun, she goes all in. After they get to know each other better he offers her a job, she needs money to help pay off her sister debt to a loan shark, for two weeks she will be good assistant by day and his play thing by night. Things heat up immediately, there is a magnetism between them from the start. But when Hunter starts to feel things for Maria, he gets scars and runs. Follow their adventure as they learn how to love and enjoy life together. Quick read with lots of heat.

Maria has just been screwed over by the temp agency and she needs money desperately. She needs to help her sister pay 25,000 in debts left by her estranged husband. When her girlfriend sets her up on a blind date she decides she might as well go. As she waits it becomes obvious he’s not going to show that is until he finally arrives telling her she looks beautiful. Later he revealed that he isn’t her date but they are having such a great time together it doesn’t matter. Maria and Hunter spend a magical night together. Hunter offers her a job as his submissive for two weeks. He will give her fifty thousand dollars and the end. A hot romantic book! Lots of hot kinky fun! A must read.

She never breaks her dating rules.... for no man....
1. No kissing on the first date
2. And definately no sex on the first date
But here she is....flinging her rules right out the window.... her lips are stuck to his face and her body wrapped around his in his bed..... what next!!??
Now the dominant alpha wants to hire her for 2 weeks....he wants her to be his assistant during the day and his plaything at night.... she wants to say no, but she needs the money.... and he did catch her trying to steal from him......

I am a big fan of Layla Valentine and her books as her books are always both well written and filled with sexy hot fun you can help but be hooked in. I like the fact there was some light BDSM which I am not use to with her writing but it was good. Maria is a temp worker and her sister is in trouble with a loan shark. Her boss Hunter and her end up on a date by accident and they have such a great time she ends up coming clean with him about her sister and the trouble they are in. He has a solution but what will happen when they both develop feeling. There is some drama but can these two make it work.

A well written and very entertaining story. Maria thinking she is stood up by a blind date Hunter attracted to her pretends to be the blind date but decides to come clean before the end and they enda up with a passionate night. The chemistry between the two was sizzling hot and the storyline kept me engaged. When he catches her trying to steal his watch and she explains, he hires her for two weeks to due whatever he wants. With very steamy naughty scences and some light BDSM including ups and downs, twists and turns, throwing in fear and heartache before a great HEA. This is a definite must read.

WOW! This book is fire blazing hot and I love it! Surprises, intrigue, witty banter, and excitement are some of what you can expect in this amazing book! The story is well written with a well-developed, consistent plot, and some BDSM content. Story is a fast pace page-turner and will leave you wanting more. Hunter and Maria are strong and likeable; the chemistry between them is instant, potent and scorching; their sex scenes leave very little for the imagination. Another wonderful addition to the San Bravado Billionaire's Club series. Maria and Hunter may have met by accident on a date but soon the two find themselves having a great time. So much so that Maria finds herself opening up to Hunter about some problems she is having. Hunter agrees to help her if she will agree to be his for two weeks. This was such a hot and steamy read and the characters are great. Another fabulous read by Ms Valentine. Great HEA.

This book is your basic billionaire story. The key concept is that he makes an agreement to pay a woman $50,000 for 2 weeks of his dominance. Their attraction is palpable and the tension between the two are pretty hot. There are some BDSM elements to the story as well. It's a pretty good book, but I did feel it was a little flat. If you want a light billionaire story, this should be your next read.

But will they be able to stop when the 2 weeks are up

This is a cute story. She’s introduced to bdsm and he’s introduced to relationships/love. They’re definitely a perfect match from the beginning. Their first night together was romantic and sexy! He has some issues to work through. But she loves him through them.

Totally loved this book. Maria and Hunter’s journey to discovering love was such a pleasure to read. An intriguing storyline that kept me captivated until the very end. I couldn’t stop reading it until I was finished. It left me wanting more of their story. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great book.
