plot was meh, dialogue was okay, wasn’t overall that much entertaining. but the ending + introduction of a certain character 👀 will still read on!

I don’t think Cooper really left a good message with Aurora’s story here.

This was a great book. Picking up where last issue left off, we find the Redeemers stranded in the town of Perfection during a Darkhold- inspired N'Gari attack. Also, as hinted last time, we have a special appearance by Sabretooth, who apparently used to work with Agent Buchannan.

The addition of Sabretooth here is much more welcome than previous teamups have been. His inclusion helps the plot along and allows it to last the entire span of the book. Both the Modred and Montesi plots get touched, and there's lots of great atmosphere. The young sexual assault victim plot from the last issue also comes to a close in a satisfying way.

The book also sees fit to give us a one-page preview / epilogue leading into next issue, featuring Punisher and one of his enemies, Preacher. Punisher was everywhere in these days, but I'm interested to see what happens when an existing Marvel villain (albeit a little-known one) gets hold of a Darkhold page.

Great read. Being generous with the grades lately.

5/5.
