I’ve lost my mind. That’s the only explanation for it. He’s my best friend’s boyfriend. I broke every girl-code out there when I let him kiss me. And then what happened after… But the dating agency set us up. And I couldn’t say no to those gorgeous gray eyes focused only on giving me pleasure. I just wanted to lose my virginity. Now I’m afraid I’ll lose Logan. What happens when I tell him I’m pregnant?
She blew me away when she walked in the room. Olive skin and bright blue eyes that scratch an itch I never knew I had. When I was with her best friend, I wouldn’t dare think about how much I wanted Ava. Except in my dreams. Now Ava’s here for real. In my arms, in my bed… Mine. Forever. But when I wake up, will she still be here?
Sadly, this was a dud. It just wasn't done properly. The heroine was way too undecisive and weak for my taste. And, the hero was just the average good guy type. One thing that really bothered me was that it was always the hero who fought for their relationship and never the heroine. This book was messy and not in a good way. There also was some inconsistencies in this book. Overall would not recommend or reread. 2.5 stars.
P.S. This book does not have an unexpected pregnancy story line like the books summary leads you to believe.
Logan & Ava had zilch chemistry! In the beginning, he is dating heroine's BFF and there is nada attraction for heroine & vice versa. My pet peeve of all time, too much details given about Logan & Camilla's (OW) sex life for me to even attempt to finish.
And then you have the BFF pushing heroine to lose her virginity, Hero helping OW hook up heroine with one of his friend's and eventually heroine forgetting the BFF code and having sex with her boyfriend!
All in all, this was a crapfest to be avoided. Eww....
This book was more of a 2.5-ish rating. The book started off good. However, Camilla was a piece of crap. The fact that she never got what she deserved really pissed me off. Instead the author had them be friends again. NOBODY should ever take someone like her back. She is everything s friend should never be. I did like Ava and Logan though. They were a good couple and deserved their happiness.
I liked the storyline of this book and the characters to a point. This is the story of Ava and Lucas. Lucas starts out the story with Ava’s best friend Camilla after Camilla changes and begins to hide things from Lucas they break up. A chance encounter through a dating site brings Ava and Lucas together after their night together they can not stop thinking about each other. Later a number of coincidences bring them together again and again and they begin to fall hard for each other. Camilla is a terrible best friend to Ava the stuff she says I would have slapped her pretty little face but Ava lets it roll of her shoulders. There are some inconsistencies in the beginning chapters. Camilla tried to force Ava to lose her virginity to Lucas’s coworker Adam who at dinner asked three time what she does for a living in which she replies she is a special education teacher yet two chapter later she is in advertising. Overall it’s a good read and I liked Lucas and Ava together give it a read and judge for yourself .
Eva & Logan, I really liked there story. Eva and Camilla are best friends and Logan is Camilla’s boyfriend but when secrets are revealed Logan dumps Camilla. Fate has a way of bringing 2 people together and fate definitely wants Eva with Logan. I liked the characters except Camilla at times, she wasn’t exactly the best friend of the year and was completely harsh too Eva. But all in all it was a good story and the ending was perfect.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Well I have to say that definitely wasnt a conventional way to "start getting close" Logan was to die for and Anna so adorable. This situation apparently fate for real. It was different but good. I think every female would appreciate a man like him!
Loved Ava & Logan...but didn't really like Camilla very much or any of Logan's friends. This was a well written taboo story. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book.
I just can't finish this. SPOILERS MAYBE (But I don't think so)
The first few chapters are all about the best friend pressuring the protagonist to lose her virginity. It made me cringe. That kind of pressure even felt toxic toxic. There's literally a scene after the protagonist rejects a guy that the "best friend" admits she didn't even care about how the protagonist wanted to lose her virginity because she thought it was just an exaggeration (I am paraphrasing). Right then and there I wanted to punch someone. I don't know what kind of friend acts like that, but I know I most certainly don't want one like that in my life.
This story is a just an okay story. I am not huge on best friend boyfriend taking stories, but I do enjoy most of Amy's books. I wanted to see where she would take this story.
I liked Ava and Logan. I did not like the secondary characters. Camellia and Hunter were horrible friends to Ava and Logan. Why these two would keep going back to Hunter and Camellia is beyond me. Camellia was dating Logan and that is how Ava and Logan meet. She is a horrible human being.
Logan is a good character but doesn't seem so smart when it comes to woman. And for a lawyer dating a stripper/bartender, I thought that was just a little weird. Oh well, that was just me.
Ava was a little better character but when it comes to Camellia she was a door mate.
I did finish this story but I don't know if I would recommend it.
I enjoyed this story. This story does not have cheating between Ava and Logan though cheating does happen in the story, they are not the cheaters. This was an interesting premise for me. Logan is dating Ava's best friend, who I never really like. Logan is a great guy and is ready for more. He wants an actual relationship that is going somewhere. Ava is a virgin and has had a bad relationship in the past that has kinda turned her off of sex and losing her virginity. She is not someone who wants a one night stand and isn't sure about the pain that comes with losing her virginity. She stumbles across a company that sets up experienced people with inexperienced and they get to set the scene and be in control of it. This is how she decides to lose her virginity and she is surprised with who comes walking in the door. This story was well written and flowed fairly smoothly. It deals with bro code and girl code and when is it okay to cross those lines. There's a lot that goes on in this story so I'm glad that it wasn't super short. We definitely needed time to get used to the relationship between Ava and Logan and for them to grow into it. The sex is explicit and while it is part of the story, I didn't feel like it happened all that often. There was enough to keep my attention and to finish the story, I just wasn't as engaged as I expected to be. The premise of the story was intriguing when I read the blurb, I just wasn't as impressed with it as I read through. Not a bad story though and still enjoyable. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I have become a HUGE fan of Amy Brent. Is it ever right to get with your best friend's ex? Ava and Camilla are best friends. Camilla is dating Logan, a lawyer and all round great guy. Ava is a virgin, and Camilla is always after Ava to give up her virginity and enjoy sex. Ava wants to choose how and to who she will lose her virginity. Ava ends up going to a dating agency to set up the perfect way to lose her virginity. Ava and Logan are both surprised to see each other when they show up at the hotel for their "perfect" date. Ava thinks Logan is cheating on Camilla, but Logan informs Ava that he and Camilla had broken up. The chemistry between Ava and Logan is electrifying. Logan and Ava try to stay away from each other. As Logan and Ava spend time together, they realize they have a lot in common and similar goals in life. Can Ava get over the guilt she feels for seeing her best friend's ex? How will Camilla react when she finds out about Ava and Logan? Can Logan prove to Ava that he is the man for her? I really loved My Best Friend's Boyfriend by Amy Brent. I loved the interaction between Ava and Logan. I can honestly say I really didn't like Camilla. I thought she was a complete b**ch! Not sure how Ava could be her best friend or that Logan was dating her. My Best Friend's Boyfriend is full of steam, passion, drama, and lies. Definitely recommend getting My Best Friend's Boyfriend by Amy Brent. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Ava is a virgin and her best friend tells her about all her sexual exploits in graphic detail. Ava doesn't want to know that much information about Logan but her friend has no filter. Logan never once sees Ava as anything more than his girl's best friend. Ava signs up for a dating agency to meet someone to loser her virginity to. When Logan learns his girlfriend has been cheating on him he joins a dating agency as a way for him to have a fresh start. Neither Logan or Ava imagined that they would be each other's perfect match but yet they were. They have an amazing night together but don't make any plans for after. Neither can stop thinking of the other and they end up seeing each other again. What will happen when Ava's friend learns about them? Can they have a relationship with how they started off?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. I thought it would be hard reading this because I don't like cheaters however its not the main characters involved in the cheating. The chemistry between Logan and Ava slowly builds between them. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
Okay so, I read this book without reading the synopsis. I was on StudyNovels because there are TONS of free books and I came across this book. I decided to read because - HELLO - who doesn't love a story about forbidden love. Anyways, it started off pretty good. It was interesting. But, this books doesn't involve any cheating. Ava and Logan just messed around like 2 days after he had broke up with Ava's bestfriend. Around the middle of book, I was like "I wonder what the synopsis of this book is." So, I looked it up here and I was like... HUH. The part about her being pregnant didn't make any sense, because it's not even a big part of the plot until the epilogue. That sort of threw me off, but ignoring what the synopsis says for this book, the book is really good.
I kind-of, sort-of didn't like that while Logan was still dating Ava's bestfriend, he never looked to Ava's direction. Like...there wasn't any hint of them having interest in each other until AFTER he broke up with Camilla. But, when I think about it, that just proves that type of good man he is. He wouldn't allow himself to see Ava that way because he thought he was content with Camilla. I still really liked the story.

🌟4 Stars🌟-Great (had my attention and I enjoyed it),
Standalone; dual POV; 17+readers; HEA; No cheating.
So, the synopsis the book gives is not completely accurate. I'm not sure if it was originally written that way but afterwards changed but there is no cheating involved. There maybe something about a broken girl code, but that's it. There is no pregnancy that is related to the core of the story. In the beginning there is a lot of details of the before the core of this book, but I very much enjoyed it.
Ava is a strong-headed, independent woman who just so happens to be waiting for Mr. Right to lose her virginity to. She wants Mr. Right to be her Mr. Forever. She wants the romance, the family and HEA. Her best friend who lives a more wildly than Ava cares for, wants her to loosen up and just lose her virginity already. To experience sex and enjoy it to the fullest. But she's a stubborn friend and see's things only her way.
Logan is sweet, sexy and wealthy man who is ready to settle down. But who he is with at the moment might not want to be heading down that same road.
Ava is Camilla's best friend and she just so happens to be a virgin. Camilla is always hounding Ava about the fact that she is a 25 year old virgin and continually tells her to just get it over with and enjoy some sex for once in her life. Camilla has a great boyfriend, Logan is like a dream come true in Ava's eyes, she just wishes she didn't have to hear about Camilla's very hot sex life. Things get a little bit messed up and Camilla starts acting distant and ignoring her boyfriend and best friend. Ava decides to do something about her virginity and had a company set up what she believes to be the perfect scenario to lose her virginity and you'll never guess who shows up to help her out. (There is no cheating on Logan's part and I feel it is important to out that out there. Many people, myself included, are not find of cheating boyfriends. I will say cheating does play a small pset in this book, but it's not done by either main character.) Grab this fabulous book today and find out what happens when Ava tries to lose her virginity. Loved this book, great story.
OMG! Talk about getting caught in a compromising position. Oh well, ya snooze, ya lose. This is one intriguing, fascinating, mesmerizing and exciting reads that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, spiraling from one end of the spectrum to the other. You have all the emotionally challenging, heart pounding, nailbiting, pulse racing, fear, lies, betrayal, deceit, smooth flowing reads that takes you on one thrilling adventure. Drama and suspense keeps your attention on this page turning treasure as you follow the characters along on their journey. The characters and their personalities are realistic and believable with just enough flaws to relate to them. The scenes are vividly graphic and detailed it really pulls this little gem read together brilliantly. I had no trouble picturing in my mind each scenario as it plays out perfectly. Amy did an excellent job bringing this read to life. Fantastic job Amy, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
This is the absolute best publication I have ever had the pleasure to read of Ms. Amy Brent. Ms. Brent has always been a top notch Author, however, with this release, I personally feel she has upped the ante for romance Authors everywhere. I read daily, all the time actually, and while I do love a good romance, My Best Friend's Boyfriend is beyond terrific and the creativity displayed throughout this wonderfully written book makes it addictive. The characters, Logan and Ava, are so personable and relatable. Theirs is not an easy path to their happily ever after, but, oh wow, was it worth it. While I do not give parts of the plot away, I assure you that this is an incredible must read book and I'll be shocked if it isn't rated a top seller.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of My Best Friend's Boyfriend in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend devouring every word of this luscious book as soon as possible. Ms. Brent, thank you for delivering another compelling read.
I received this book from Booksprout and l am volunteering to leave this review.
The title of the book is so wrong, it doesn’t match the storyline, and the blurb also is not 100% accurate. For all accounts from reading this book Camilla the best friend had more of a friends with benefits relationship with Logan. Although she cheated on Logan, he was more invested in the relationship than she was. Camilla was manipulative, a bully and a sook. She was not a nice person, and blamed her poor childhood for being that way. She is the most disliked character l have read ever.
Ava might have broken some type of friend code, but l didn’t feel the best friend vibe coming from Camilla and Ava, they were friends yes, but best friend’s l just didn’t feel it, more like friends who have known each other since childhood.
I enjoyed the chemistry and storyline between Ava and Logan, but is was messy, and it would have been a better read if that was excluded from the book and just had Ava and Logan’s romance.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Ava and Logan. Ava is looking for someone who will appreciate all she has to offer including her V card. Her best friend Camilla just thinks she needs to get rid of it so she can move on to other men. Logan on the other hand is dating her best friend Camilla and is looking to settle down. They both wonder can they have what they want with where they are in their life or do they need to look elsewhere? Can they get a HEA?
This story is so so good. We all wish we had waited for that perfect someone. Well in this story we find someone who does. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other reader. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
My Best Friend's Boyfriend By Amy Brent Main Characters: Logan & Ava I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 2 1/2 out of 5 stars The one glaring error I found in this book was that Ava 1st said she worked with developmentally delayed children. Then the next time she says she works in an ad agency. There were many inconsisisties I noticed and some things were just unbelievable. Camilla her best friend was not a likeable character at all. There was no cheating on Logan's part but on his ex's. (Camilla) All in all I would not recommend this book. I know this was an ARC but I also think the author needs better beta readers and/or editing before sending it out even as an ARC. Try not to churn out so many books and make the ones you do, please make them more believable and accurate. I am sure if you do that you will get much better reviews.
It should really be called ‘My Best Friend’s Ex-Boyfriend’, as Logan is no longer dating Camilla when he and Ava first sleep together. This is something I was happy about as cheating really isn’t my favourite thing to read about and yet cheating still plays a part in this book, unfortunately. It just isn’t either of the main characters doing the deed.
Mini rant out of the way, this is a cute little romance. It’s also not your average scenario, as Ava takes control of her sex life by choosing to lose her virginity through an agency that is there to help educate people in sex. I might have rated it higher but the fact that the couple are brought back together due to lost paperwork is absolutely ridiculous. Sorry. I don’t mean to spoil the plot but honestly, why would anyone have to repeat the night when they could just fill out the forms a second time? Ludicrous. That aside, it’s an easy read with enough drama to keep you entertained.
What a great story I loved it, Ava just wants to loose her virginity on her terms but her best friend Camilla wants to help but Ava doesn’t need help being set up on dates by her friend. So she contacts a dating agency and sets it all up the way she wants it so now it’s all set up. In the mean time Camilla has been acting strangely and treating her boyfriend like crap and Ava feels sorry for him and wonders what is going on with her. So the big day arrives and Ava is early and nervous and excited as well, while waiting she wonders what he will be like and at that moment the door opens and in walks her best friends ex Logan. What do they do now ? Can they go through with it and she looses her virginity and can she break the girl code even knowing her best friend cheated on him. Read this amazing book to find out. I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book for an honest review.
First off I just wanna say that I wanted to slap the tar out of Camilla in the beginning because what it felt like to me was that she was pressuring Ava to have sex and not listening to Ava and how she wanted it to go. If she was a friend she wouldve understood and not throw her sex life in her friends face. Once Ava was ready to get rid of her v-card she thought it would be with a stranger in a controlled setting where she had all the say so. But then, said stranger turned out to be her best friends boyfriend. I did not like Camilla at all she came across as self-centered but when she found out that Ava and Logan had been together she just went nuts. Ava and Logan's chemistry was off the charts which he didn't have with Camilla at all besides the sex. But with Ava, they had over all chemistry.

I was not getting into the book at first, but I gave it a chance and I will say it did get better with meaning behind the story. Camilla and Ava have been best friends forever. Camilla wants Ava to lose her virginity, but Ava wants to do on her terms. Logan and Hunter have been best friends. Logan is also dating Camilla, but then they break up after Camilla goes out on him. Ava and Logan have been friends and things are getting weird. Ava decides to use a dating site and so does Logan. Now things are getting strained, and weird. Can Ava and Logan figure things out? Can Camilla come to terms with whats going on? Why does Hunter keep putting his two cents into it? What should Ava do? Can she get over everything going on in her life? Can Logan help?

I was given this book to read in exchange for a review. I actually enjoyed reading this book - it really hooked me from the beginning, it is so relatable. While I believe in “Girl code” - it can’t always be adhered to. Sometimes the wrong people meet first. Camilla and Logan were clearly not the right people for each other. The fact that even she admitted that Logan and Ava were so alike they would be perfect for each other, was very telling and she eventually did show her friendship by not standing in their way - especially after all her own cheating and lying to both them. There were a number of inconsistencies within the storyline, so that was abit distracting - trying to remember what I actually read and then go back and fact check, but other than that - it was a fun read.

I don't know why I read this book till the very end. I get the whole forbidden thrope... But this h is delusional. She keeps accusing her best friend for cheating on the H like it makes it okay for her to sleep with him two days after they broke up. They had to make the best friend a total bitch and keep portraying the h as the sweet innocent naive girl... In my opinion she's the bitch. It takes her best friend railing into her to realise oh maybe she did fuck up... That last all of two seconds before she goes running back to the H. The H is a good guy who didn't deserve these train wrecks. The h and her bestie. Sone other things that really grated on my nerves... There was like no chemistry between the MCs. Like zero.. How did they even fall in love... And the h being super indecisive is yet another annoying trait.
All in all this book sucks.
Wish I had just DNF'd it

A fascinating, enjoyable, intriguing, mesmerizing and exciting drama with suspense. Its a story that includes betrayal, fear, lies, deceit, hot chemistry and great witty banter in this smooth flowing story. The characters are interesting, realiastic, and believable with a well-developed storyline that is exciting and entertaining. Camille is Ava's best friend and gives her a hard time about being a virgin at 25. Her explicit descriptions of her sex life is interesting and she is the cheater villian in this romance. Logan is a hard working lawyer that is cheated on by Camille. I really enjoyed this thrilling adventure to a HEA.

What an amazing read. Ava is a beautiful soul waiting for the right man to come along to give herself to, she's being pressured by he bestie Camilla who really isn't the best person to help her find Mr. Right and Camilla 's relationship may not be what she portrays it to be and her boyfriend Logan will be the one to suffer. Camilla' s actions bring Ava and Logan together under crazy circumstances and once Ava decides what she wants she goes for it with Logan, she trusts him and he wants everything to be perfect for her. What will happen when Camilla finds out well all I can say is bye Felicia! No spoilers here, such a great book, I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
