Stringless Puppeteer
While there are many supers in the world living among the humans, making friends, fitting in, there are also those that just can’t deal with society. They aren’t evil, or violent, they’re just different. They don’t fit in. They will never feel comfortable on a crowded street, or surrounded by so much noise. These are Santa’s elves.
Well, actually, that’s not quite true. There’s a group of elves that are perfectly fine wherever you stick them, but for this story, we’re focusing on the first type.
Well, actually, we’re focusing on me. My name is Barrett, but everyone calls me Bear. I’m fifteen, and the second child of the latest generation of the Toy Box line. Yeah, that means Dollface is my big sister. You’re probably thinking that means I grew up in a dollhouse, right? Not really. I mean as I got older, once in a while, but the real impact it had on me was that up until I was seven, I thought it was perfectly normal for guys to have cartoon characters painted on their fingernails. I even remember several times where my mom would walk in on Dolly practicing makeup… on me. Thankfully, that stopped when puberty kicked in. I shot up taller than Dolly by the time I was thirteen, and she can’t run well in heels.
But other than that, I think I’m pretty normal… nah, I’m just kidding. I’m not normal at all.

One of my favorite segments
Obviously I recommend this to all previous Cape High readers. If you haven't read these start with Super Villain Dad and enjoy immersing yourself into a wonderful, feel good world. I know this is supposed to be young adult, but I am 60, and love this series. Several in my family devour these as well.
I loved Bear's story as your advent offering last year and the shorter version was incorporated beautifully in the regular storyline. So much fun seeing a lot of the characters in this book and none of it felt rushed or strained. It all formed together seamlessly, in my opinion, and my goodness, so much romance in comparison to previous books! Or should I say new possibilities forming for future romance. You even gave a hint about Skye starting to feel possessive about you-know-who! I feel you really advanced the story and all of the various relationships and friendships.
I loved this book. Thank you for making my life brighter Ms. Ross!

This series is my favorite!
Finally Bears story! The plot always keeps me on my toes. Pairing of parents or stories of them more would be nice with the kids too. I love how you dont just point out one thing, yet stay on the plot. Frosty, Im so looking forward to reading more on her line.

Ross needs to progress past the cutsey stuff and the Christian proselytizing. The first half of the book is quite literally the same events happening recurring in different locations: The MC wander into a new population center, does a puppet show, does some preaching, and moves on.
The last 50 % is better since there's actually a villain doing something, but it lacks punch since he's a contradiction. He's supposed to be one of the smartest people on the planet, but he acts like a fool.

Awsome
Even after 22 books he keeps it in Cape high vibe. It always feels like I'm reading that first book over again everytime and it never gets stale or repetitive.

I read part of this off wordpress and was intrigued to see it developed into a full story. I loved it. It was well developed into a full story with scenes I hadn't read before and more going on that really added to the story.
It was nice to see a little more of the Christmas elves thought I feel like Bear and Dolly's family weren't that well fleshed out, and I'm still slightly confused on how [SPOILER] Colleck was captured. [END SPOILER].
