This is actually part of a trilogy, with each book being on the short side.

This is part one.

June is in love with Jermaine. They met over the internet. Actually they have not "met" at all...not yet..but they plan to meet..or at least June plans to meet him.

Although it has only been a short time, she already knows they are soulmates. He knows and understands her like nobody else ever has. She has bared her soul to him and June knows, without a doubt, that he is "the one". She is so happy. As well she should be because Jermaine IS the one.

The made up one. You see Jermaine is not real. He does not exist. June has been "catfished" and is in a relationship with a person who does not exist.

Or maybe he sort of does..he exists to June..and to the people behind the computer..those nameless faceless creeps. The people who have decided it might be fun to watch June suffer.

These people are her best friend..and her sister.

This was a really good book. I had seen one of my GR friends reading it which is how I came to know about it. It is moving and brutally realistic.

This stuff..I mean it isn't fiction. People can be evil. Or have sides to them that are evil. And yes people can take pleasure in a sick thing like this.

Why would June's own sister participate? And her friend? Well..the friend is jealous but we kind of know that from the beginning. The sister is a bit of a puzzle but her basic personality is that of a follower.

There is also a third person who inadvertently becomes involved in the whole mess.

This is only book one. It takes about 30-45 minutes to read. Then comes book two and lastly book three. I read them all this evening. So my review is really for all three books.

You will not get the whole story in book one. You will have to read all three for that.

I like the way the characters are developed and really like this author's writing. She is unafraid in her writing of showing the good, the bad, the human..in all her characters. At the end of the day, these books were excellent reads and I am so glad to know of this author as I will look for other works by her. A strong four stars for the series.

For a 100 page book she packed a whole lot in it I mean the things June the FMC has been through for it to have happened in 100 pages.. The crazy part is who’s the one up to it all.. Check it out if you want a good quick read.. Great writing great characters!! I’m definitely finishing the series today…

What A Perfect Title

Poor June didn't deserve all that happened to her. I was hooked from page 1 and enjoyed learning about the motives of everyone involved. I'm happy there's a part 2 because that ending left me confused and needing more.

Nice easy fast read.

Saw this book on instagram. Thought I'd give it a go because needed something quick to read and I wasn't disappointed. So I've read this first instalment and really enjoyed the pace of the book. Will have to download next two to see what happens. I really like how you can purchase parts in the book to see if you want to continue reading and I think it's a good idea for the author so she can get her name out there. I will be recommending it to friends who are a bit reluctant to read just to get them on board of the contemporary fiction thing.

"Fascinating Read"

Ahh, fascinating read! I was caught up in the characters from the beginning. After reading other books 'Tanisha Stewart' wrote such as, "Even Me, When things go Left, and Even Me-The Sequel." I knew I was going to be in for a ride! A shattering plot. Friends are as family and family as friends loving them wholeheartedly. But, really are they as intersected in your well-being as you are to them. This read brought me there. The plotting, jealousy, and distrust amongst the you love the most. I felt June's pain as I moved through the story. Awesome read, I was really rooting for "Illiana." One could really relate to this story of mishaps/deceit in relationships and friendships. I would recommend to anyone looking for an exciting read! Great read Tanisha Stewart!!!

This is my first Tanisha Stewart read and most definitely not my last. Fueled by envy, secrets and lies… This entertaining and suspenseful read quickly yanks readers into a cruel joke that takes “Betrayal” to a whole new level of envy. This author most definitely knows how to keep readers dangling on her every word. I have to know what happens next so 1-Clicking part 2 NOW!

Satisfying quick read!

Stewart is quickly becoming one of my go to authors for a good read! So far all of her stories have been entertaining and well plotted! I am looking forward to reading more from her.

I really enjoyed the plot of this story and I definitely did not see the ending coming! I can not wait to see what happens next with this ensemble of characters!

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick dose of drama and a story with well rounded characters!

OMG!

Okay, so I've been wanting to read this for awhile and just did last night. This was the most infuriating ending I have ever experienced in my life. However, this quick read was magnificent! So much so I had to see if there is going to be a part two. I loved this so much I had a dream about possible endings. Won't say much but I'm hearing great things about 2019. Book two was better than book one in my opinion. I got to know the characters more and I fell in love with a potential love between two characters, I even have a ship name!

In this day and age we are faced with so many challenges with social media. There are people who abuse it and those who use it as it was supposed to be used. Always protect yourself and do your best to get to know the person behind the screen before you start sharing things with them or committing to going out with them somewhere. It could be a harmless decision or a harmful one. You won’t know until after you’ve made your decision.

I’d also suggest that you be careful who you be friend, pay attention to those where your family around you. Sometimes it’s the people close to you that despise you the most.😩

So I DID enjoy the book- my rating is 3 stars. The reason I gave it three stars was because the ending left so much to figure out to be questioned. And also the book was extremely predictable- at least to me it was. I read the prologue and I know exactly what was gonna unfold from there like a trailer to a show or a movie, I may not know how they got to the result, but I do know what the result is before it was revealed. Which was why I dropped the stars down- yes I know what the bottom line is but I still want to know how we got there? What caused all this.. and even though there is some backstory there was a lot of build up to a climax and babyyyy…. We all go up but never come down…. We need that come down… nothing goes up and stays there…. I need June’s reply.

[Cozy Beauty Reads]

This book has me questioning a lot like June is guilable and seems to believe anything she sees or hears. But honestly I just wanna know how old is June? Because she has been talking to a guy online for months and not once have they video chat or met up for coffee. Those are strong signs that something is wrong. 


Kelvin shouldn't be so scared to tell June the truth. Once again how old are these characters? I'm hoping college aged but I cant tell if their in high school. June's little sister Iliana , and best friend Camaiyah are so full of shit. Like why in the hell would they put June through all of this? 


I want June to have more common sense and read in between the lines. Everyone involved in the situation is guilty and cant be trusted. So let's say June in about 21 years old or a little older it's 2019 baby girl so many red flags come up when online dating or dating in general. 


So before I read on to part 2 I just want to know why lliana is following behind someone like Camaiyah? And why Kelvin wants to take the rap for what Camaiyah and lliana has done? This is a fast paced story they left me with lots of unanswered questions. I like like the story line I just feel as though the characters are a little too juvenile to be acting this way at their age. But I will read part 2 and see what happens but for now I give part one of the story 4 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Imma be honest and say I was playing Kindle roulette because the TBR got too powerful and this one popped out like surprise trust issues! This was a quick read but babyyyy my patience was being tested.

June had more grace and restraint than me because they were talking in circles for entirely too long. Spit it out already! Every conversation had me waiting for somebody to finally say what needed to be said. Hunni when they say it be your own people IT REALLY BE YOUR OWN PEOPLE.

That’s what got me most. Not the catfish itself because sadly people create fake personas every day. It was the betrayal coming from somebody close enough to know exactly what she needed, what she wanted to hear and how to become her safe space. That part is unsettling.

Then to see people making decisions and taking blame that wasn’t theirs. Like what was the real point of that. Couldn’t be me. I would’ve aired the whole group chat out and let accountability collect who it needed to collect.

My biggest takeaway from this story though. Envy is a beast. People don’t always want what you have sometimes they want to experience being chosen the way you are. When that envy goes unchecked it turns ugly fast. Overall, this was one of those reads that reminds you that your enemies are closer than you think. Maybe just maybe FaceTime before planning forever.

Kelvin is stupid…don’t talk crap about someone you supposedly care about simply because they’re not interested in you or whatever the case may be…

I don’t understand why some could be so desperate to deliberately try to ruins someone’s life and/or reputation.

There’s definitely so many things I didn’t like about this short story, and although the exact ages aren’t mentioned I do believe they all are fairly young. They all have a lot of growing up to do. Overall, I’m rooting for June! Leave them people in the past girl, and move on with continued grace!

With a title like this I knew it would be some mess, but damn! Poor June couldn't catch a break. After breaking up with her cheating boyfriend, she is heartbroken. Her best friend, and her sister push her to an online dating site, to get back out there. This is where everything goes downhill. 🤯 I was shocked to learn that Camiyah was that grimy over some high school ish. 👀 Iliana was a follower with no backbone, and Kelvin! Sir, why haven't you told June what you feel? Instead, you've now got yourself caught up in this ish show that Camiyah has orchestrated! Then you tell June what??? Ughhh!!!!🤬

Ready to jump right into book 2, cause I need to know how this all plays out.
