Fandom: Harry Potter Relationships: Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy/Original Female Character -------------------------------------------------- Nine years after Voldemort's defeat, Hermione decides to take a holiday from her life to work out who she is and what she wants to do with herself. She soon gets the feeling that Draco Malfoy might be the key to her salvation, but Draco seems to be consumed by a need to keep secrets that are destroying him and does not want her interfering. Armed with a determination to save someone who doesn't want to be saved, she sets out to see how he might fit into the oddly shaped puzzle that is her life. Sequel to Silencio.
I just love time jumps that are done right. It's been a couple years since Silencio, and both Hermione and Draco have moved on with their lives. But Hermione knows she's missing something and she knows that Draco is the key to discovering just what exactly is missing in her head.
Sadly, this story was never finished, but I still recommend it as we see a more mature side to our character, who still search and yearn for one another despite what happened at the end of Silencio.
3.5* I had mixed feelings for the book at the start, then it went downhill and then I reached closer to the end which altogether lifted my spirits. I know it hasn't been updated in ages but I'm very much looking forward to the story ahead, there's so much yet left to be uncovered. Characters:- I couldn't find Hermione's character believable here, I know the writer wanted to show us the impact of the ********** (don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't read Silencio yet, if you've you know I'm talking about the end) but I couldn't find it very convincing, and Draco's character development ain't as realistic as expected. Maybe "Silencio" shaped my expectations on a more realistic note. So yes, the writing was decent, I liked the new characters too, very nicely structured and characterized. But what took me to 3.5 stars is the last chapter. Oh Merlin! The 7th chapter made it all worth it. How much I want this writing to be resumed and I can't wait to get on this journey all over again.
Someone help me find the writer and make them resume it. *Pleads with tears*
Oh I'm so sad this has been abandoned. I even searched the googles for over an hour to find something, but at atlas, we will never get our HEA 🥺
Some of my favorite quotes are:
“Let’s just be happy that they do have time,” he said. “And let’s hope they’ll never forget.”
“Let’s just be happy that they do have time,” he said. “And let’s hope they’ll never forget.”
Hermione found plenty of time to read. Not that she ever didn't have time to read--that would be like not having time to eat or breathe, a completely absurd notion
Hermione said, inserting a bookmark, also known as a quitter's label.
I have mixed feelings about this. I was curious about the sequel, but then my interest went downhill, just like this story. It's not that interesting and enjoyable anymore... at least for me. Maybe because I didn't like the ending of the first story, or maybe because they meet again as teachers almost 10 years later... And their relationship, scenes are not like anymore. Not that good. I'm sorry but I just couldn't enjoy this story. + It's unfinished.
