In five days, the world was forever changed. Now, it's changing again. Liv and the other survivors have created a new safe haven for themselves. Their world was destroyed but they are determined to rebuild in its ruins. Nothing is given anymore. They must fight for every day. But a world dominated by zombies is an unforgiving place. One mistake can mean death. As the survivors adapt to the new world, the zombies are adapting as well. New mutations in the virus are creating more deadly monsters. As the world gets deadlier than ever, the survivors must learn to live as one or die together as the world once again changes around them. Adapt or die.
This is my favorite zombie apocalypse series. It has an outstanding cast of characters and the main character is a young mom with a toddler daughter that had to make her way through the zombie apocalypse. No spoilers but there are plenty of characters that you would love and some that you will hate. As with the best of any books of this type some of your favorite characters will survive and some of them will not. Some of the bad characters will not survive but some of them will. Every book so far has a unique twist that feels in a little bit more of the puzzle of the story. Just when you think you know what’s going on the ride flips over and goes another direction. It is an action-packed thrill ride the Dells into the psyche of its characters and draws you in to where you feel like you are part of the story as you go along. You feel the emotion that is put into the story. At times it will make you want to cry at other times it will make you want to scream and yet at other times it will make you laugh and giggle. Then you reach the end and you just want more. I cannot wait for the next book to come out. This is a definite must read along with all of the rest of the series. As a sidenote a few loose ends from some of the other stories get answered or at least expounded upon and merge all together to continue the story. As with all of the death and decay series once I start reading it I cannot put it down until I am finished. It’s like going to Disneyland in having an eTicket ride.
This is a great instalment to the series. Some parts were a little predictable and and points felt a little rushed. Ie would have liked more detail about the vet
. That said I really enjoy the series, the characters are fab and I’m looking forward to reading more.
For some reason I enjoyed this book less. Parts of it felt forced like they were trying to shock you but it wasn't working. Maybe I've read too many zombie books and just saw it all coming.
