Kari Holloway is an American writer who grew up in Leesburg, Georgia. She dabbles in southern romances filled with iconic components of sexy cowboys and firefighters, explored the unexplained in her paranormal series, found her way to the battlefields of the Civil War, and to love's first kiss under the weeping willow through various anthologies.

Unsure of what her future holds, Kari enjoys writing what captures her attention in the evenings. During the day, she chases her kids around, laughing at their sassy ways and the depths of their curiosity.

Her motto in life: Show the world the best version of you, for our actions of today make tomorrow.

Kari knows how to make her characters dance across the page. They are full of life and emotions that keep you on the edge of your seat. You want to reach out and tell them the secret they are just out of reach in finding. Strings Attached was the perfect love story of two awkward people, who fit together like a hand and glove. Sometimes making the right decision is not so hard. Love what you have and be happy with the life you have been given. You don't need to have big dreams and magic to make a difference in the world, you just need to have happiness with the people around you. I highly recommend this book.

Strings Attached is an easy read that makes you feel warm inside. The characters are raw and real in their awkwardness. Holloway continued to develop them in a way that reflected a real relationship through showing their fear and unsureness, rather than the cliche love at first sight. The addition of Gramps deathbed confession and the scarf gave it something different, keeping it intriguing until the end. I highly recommend this book - it's a perfect beach read or spent with a hot chocolate in front of a fire.

This is a thoughtful, sweet and gentle romance. It moves at a slower pace than a lot of the romance novels I have read, but the pace works incredibly well for the story. The author has created vivid and very human and slightly flawed characters, which makes for a wonderful and very engaging story - more like real life than a lot of the romance novels currently out there. Anyone who likes good old fashioned romance will enjoy this book. A great read!

"Strings Attached" is the first romance book that I have ever read. I have had this preconception about romances being nothing but sappy. However, Kari Holloway did a phenomenal job at writing a beautifully unique love story.

The characters were genuine in their feelings and actions. It was refreshing to see a growing love that didn't entail having the characters tripping over each other. The dash of a mythical twist that intertwined Kyle's and Carissa's relationship was subtle and yet it brought even more light to the story.

I highly recommend the "Strings Attached" by Kari Holloway.

Sweet romance with a supernatural twist

This is a different kind of story. The young adult characters are easy to care about, & their relationship is believable and sweet. The supernatural angle didn't really work for me, for some reason. I liked that it was subtle, but I just didn't find it particularly appealing. It didn't affect my liking for the relationship development, however, so I enjoyed the story & their happy ending, regardless.

Love Carissa and Kyle's sweet love story. they are so sweet. There's an instant attraction when they meet. There's a mystery with a little twist. enjoyed the secondary characters; I hope they have their own stories. Engaging read. Recommended.

I liked the book. its not really my genre. I'm more into paranormal but this was a good read. short and sweet.
