An aging Los Angeles hipster, Aiden S. Scholl, searches for a long-lost friend turned indie musician in a madcap mystery set in the year Two-Thousand Thirty-Something. He’ll search for his best buddy all right. Or smoke weed and forget what he was doing. Whatever works. And the quest will take Aid on a long journey through the bowels of post-postmodern culture and corporate economic systems until he reaches an answer. Or gives up. Or something.
A nice escape from the busy lives we all work in the System! Slacker Noir has many familiar elements, but put together in fun fashion, with a surprising dark side, but an ending that comes out of left field and makes it all worth the wait! Minus one star for a bit of a slow down in the middle, but I add it back because the ending made up for it :-)
