For those of you that read The Unknown Mongol, you're probably wondering just what the hell happened. If you enjoyed the first book, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one just as much. Go with him on this wild rollercoaster ride to hell and back. Experience the in's, out's, ups and downs of Los Angeles County Jail (the closest place to hell on earth), then on to California State Prison. Hold on tight as you share the happiness, sadness, and relationships in this unbelievable but true gripping expedition of one man's life.
I read both books in 4 days. This story was like something you would see in Quentin Tarantino film. Action in both books, Quentin Tarantino if you’re reading this, make the movie
Having a thing for Harley’s and alpha men, I’m always reading biker books, but this is the first true story I’ve read. I was a little surprised by it. I assumed a club president would be a bit of a psycho with an abusive childhood, but this was not the case with Junior. He came from a loving home with good parents. He certainly is not carrying a chip on his shoulder. He is just who he is and I see strength in that. He also appears to be very smart and a natural leader, so i “got it”. -If I were military and in war, I would want him leading me. The story is about how he got from a teenager to a club president, telling some of his stories along the way. -I now know what “pruno” is and, not that I’ll ever need to, but I know how to make it. Ha. My only criticism is I would have really liked for him to add pictures.
I don’t know precisely what it is about “Junior” Scott Ereckson, but the way he writes about his time being a prospect within his hometown Mangols Chapter, working his way up to National President, has me, always coming back to catch up on his life & adventures of a biker, inmate/prisoner, friend, husband, etc. The thing I think is helpful to some people, is that he doesn’t sugar coat his time within the California penal system. I also believe that the narration of the book by Kain Foster helps deliver the point that Mr Ereckson was who he was not only because that may of been the way he always was, but also for survival. It was never mentioned what happened to Tweety. & Doobie, but i hope they either got out in due time or they are doing ok still. I look forward to any books that Junior Ereckson may write.

.Excellent read just like his first book, it's amazing how one can overcome so many hardships and keep focus on what's best for. I think I would have lost my composure long ago and like he's said "shot myself in the foot".
Excellent read just like his first. I think it's amazing how one can overcome so many hardships, keep focused on what's best in the heat of the moment and make it out of a situation like this. I would have no doubt "shot myself in the foot" on many occasions mentioned. Well Done!
Still an interesting read from the world from outlaws, but this book is mostly about Junior trying to dig himself out of a hole of his own making. He constantly struggles with his temper in various situations in the jails he's moving through during the course of story. It sometimes feels like he doesn't see all the choices he made that have taken him exactly where he is. The writing is alright. I wouldn't waste time reading this, an audioversion is perfectly fine.
I read both books over 2 days and really loved your story and how you pulled back the curtain to give people a rare inside look of the Mongols from your perspective. The only reason that I gave it 3 stars was because the Sequel was somewhat difficult to read as it contained so many misspellings and confusing sentences. That being said, I hope you write more and if you do, send me the drafts and I'll edit it for you, free of charge! 😄
Read this after reading the author’s first book a little while back. I enjoyed this one more due to it having a more real feel to it. I felt it took a better look internally and into who he was. It was a quick read which was nice. I would recommend going back and doing some editing as there were numerous typos but not going to hold that against the story itself.
As an avid motorcyclist, I enjoyed the stories of the adventures of the M.C. What I most enjoyed was the spiritual experience described herein. I too experienced a pit of despair (of my own making) only to find it the hand of my creator crafting a life beyond my wildest dreams. I am so happy for JUNIOR and his family. Be well and keep the shiny side up.
Read both books, couldn't put them down until I finished them. Powerful, moving, insightful and parts of them made me so angry that I wanted to yell. The unfairness of his last conviction was so infuriating that I wanted to throat punch someone. Gave me a new respect for those in the brotherhood of MC's. Thank you Mr. Ereckson for sharing your life story with us.
Outstandingly good book about the "Life" of a 1%er Biker, who just happens to be a MONGOL...
Great work about the life and times of JUNIOR, a 1%er, who also happens to be a MONGOL, Damned fine writing from someone who has "been there and done that", recommended to anyone in the "Life" or rides regularly or considers themselves Motorcycle Enthusiasts.
You can tell this man is no joke. I've got lots of friends that are in and out of the California Dept. Of Corrections and I can always tell when someone is sellin wolftickets....this man isn't and he can write. Definitely worth reading!
Ps . Hey junior how does a guy go about getting a hold of you? Cbhein17@gmail.com
I wish I could direct link(Twitter social.media whatever) with Scott, super dug this Book.and the first as well. Well written fast paced and enjoyable read. Glad to read it,also glad it all worked out for Junior.... incredible story- wild life and gifted writer...thanks for the read Jr E.
Prison stories, good guy with sometimes bad attitude, and a damn Real President. This book is great, to those who are curious about prison life, curios about an outlaw bike club member, or just here to know more about this unknown mongol it is definitely worth the read.
So lucky to have found this (author ) I read second book first on kindle and searched for unknown Mongol on audible found and bought both and have since reread in correct order. Great reads with honest words not like a lot of so-called bad asses that pat themselves on back.Great job
Interesting and honest no frills just straight talking BRILLIANT.
I liked this book immensely although it was too little, so much more could have been said BUT even now he has to watch how truthful he is or the feds will be on him. Great to see a story where he comes out still a mongol but basically legal.
This book seems very factual. I’ve ridden motorcycles for over 50 years. Ran into my share of other riders, some good others not so good. The parts about prison life are pretty true. I retired from CDR offer 23 years and have seen most of what he described as true. Prison can be a very difficult place to survive in.
Good read Scott junior Ereckson is a good writer and has overcome the hard life of post prison life where most convicted felons fail he has succeded in staying out of prison and is now leading a happy life.
You have proven that Not all who wander are lost Sometimes the harder we look, the more vulnerable we are Not everything easy is worth it. And nothing worthy is easy. Shiny side up, sir
I liked the flow and speed of this book. I also appreciated the writing style. It was a good quick read that kept me interested the whole time, which isn't always an easy feat.
I was doubtful at first that the book would be interesting. I was pleasantly surprised. The story of Junior and his incarceration is a page turner. I admire his loyalty to his fellow Mongols. It keeps you riveted to his story. Will read more of his books.
Great fucking book, great fucking writer, great fucking Mongol! Very honest, unlike that other guy. It kept me up st night because i couldn't put it down.
