Ilearned about aphasia through one of the main character's inability to choose correct words after he experienced a severe injury. Also, the blue pearl in the title is not at all whatI expected-- an interesting read.

"Blue Pearl" - written by T J MacGregor and published in 1994 by Hyperion. A very good mystery featuring the duo of Quin and McCleary.

A well written mystery with some supernatural aspects to it (a healer and a psychic). This is a very character-driven story, which is what I enjoyed the most about this book. I also liked that snippets of the murderer’s POV was included, which added to the intrigue.
