3.5 stars. Not a fan of jerk hero’s.
Like trying out new authors in KU.
Found this an okay read, even though I liked the plot, I found Lance quite callous and never found he really redeemed himself. His womanising and smoking was annoying too.
Did think it unfair him being blamed for Claus’s (stupid name) accident.
Jordon is a typical virginal heroine in her attitude. Has unsafe sex with a stranger, gets pregnant and 6 years later has not been with another man.
The ending felt very cliche and wrapped up quickly.

Author, Ashlee Price, has written a wonderful contemporary Christmas Romance story. We have Lance the CEO who has the personality of Scrooge and Jordan, on the rebound from a bad boyfriend. She decides to attend her brother's Kevin (also a CEO) Christmas Party located in the same building where Lance's business is located. Tipsy Jordan and Lance meet in an abandon coffee break room on another floor and end up doing the dirty deed on the couch. She barely gets it out in time that she's a virgin...he doesn't get it out in time. They only get out their first names.
Flash forward six years to another Christmas this time in Dover. Serendipitous events occur when Lance accepts a clients home to stay for the holiday. While looking across the street who does he see? Jordan. What proceeds is a series of events and decisions as they weigh their choices to define roles, define family, become a father, a family.
I love this story therefore am recommending this book. The author wrote a wonderful message about family at Christmas time and the importance of fatherhood. This is not a G-rated story. There are very steamy sex scenes that clouded up my iPad. I am volunteering to leave a review.

Much too long
The whole story was okay but much too long. Jordan may have ended up a devoted Mother but she remained too immature. Way too much gratuitous sex interspersed in a story that did not require it.

A Christmas party with business rivals, an innocent young woman, a young man on a mission lead to an acting on impulse moment. Virginity gone, no protection used, and no information exchanged before leaving - except for first names.
A couple of weeks later Jordan is finding out that it really can only take one time. Her brother finds out about her positive answer, and then finds out the first name of the cause of this. Big brother is mad and "going to get him" attitude causes the voice of reason to be drown out. Snow does not mix well with irrational rage. An accident and a reminder of that Christmas party has Jordan's life pretty full.
A "forced" vacation has Lance staying in a beautiful old home with an associate's family member. He is settling in when the neighbor across the street draws his attention. It also draws his memories to the one he can never forget. When he gets a better look - she IS the one he can't forget. No chance of her getting away from him this time right now is the only plan he has. Going over to talk to her, a little something catches his eye, not to mention the big something throwing sparks at him, and not the good kind.
Jordan attempts to keep Lance away by any and all means. Which is completely silly when she can't fight the attraction towards him, even after all these years without him. Thinking quickly a small lie is made to keep Lance away, only that plan backfires, in fact it is only that much more of a challenge for Lance to win her over. Then a misunderstanding, a secret revealed, and some paparazzi's jaded story break the bubble of happiness this little family have started. Wise words from an colleague help him with the decision he has been looking to make.
Christmas has arrived, an important question, and a surprise guest bring in more hurdles to jump. Only there seems to be a lot more riding on their shoulders during this time. The surprise guest is known to Lance, only this person isn't the same person from six years ago. Jordan tells him the other secret she has been keeping. Lance decides to move ahead with his plans, and accept this for what it is. Then a minor accident causes a hurdle that was unexpected. This hurdle though is different, this one seems to be the end of the road for Jordan and Lance.
Have no fear, because that person who is a part of the hurdle that separated them, turns out to be the very one who helps put the pieces back together, and help Jordan and Lance (along with Claus) begin the making up for good and the traveling down the road of happily ever after.

Delightful read
At first I thought this would be the rypical, predictable story of guy knocking up girl and then girl trying to get something out of rich guy. However, this was not that kind of book. There were some twists that I was not expecting and that just made the book even more interesting. Lance owns his own company in a tall building where he is competing with another guy named Kevin for the best programmers. It's the Christmas season and Lance is anti-Christmas while Kevin is all into it. Kevin throws a Christmas party and invites his sister Jordan to it. She attends but is miserable so she slips away from the party. Lance runs into her and not knowing who she is, one thing leads to another. She ends up pregnant and when her brother finds out who the father is, he is livid. He rushes out to confront Lance but never gets the chance when tragedy strikes. Fast-forward six years later and it's Christmas time again. Lance is staying at a client's house when he runs into Jordan again. He still feels drawn to her but when he thinks he might get lucky again, he discovers she has a son. He doesn't know what to think or how to feel but he decides to pursue her anyway. In her desperation to keep him from chasing after her, she decides to have Lance babysit her son. She thinks Claus will drive Lance away. The plan backfires because Lance slowly starts to build a relationship with him. Just when things start to work out for them as a family, another twist happens. I enjoyed reading this book and even though I liked the ending, I just wish it would have had Claus's reaction to his Christmas present

This is the second chance romance between Lance and Jordan. Jordan had just broken up with her cheating boyfriend and her brother Kevin wanted her to go to his company's Christmas party. Jordan agrees, even though she doesn't want to, and she has too much to drink. When Jordan goes to a break room to brood, she meets Lance, the owner of another tech company. Lance was working late and wanted coffee, but when he sees Jordan, he wants her more. They hook-up, even though Jordan was a virgin and then Lance is a jerk and she tells him off. When she learns she is pregnant, she has no way of finding Lance and when Kevin learns about it, he is angry and goes to confront Lance, only things don't go as planned. Six years later, Jordan is raising Claus, her son and Lance is now a successful billionaire. When a client offers Lance the use of his home for the holidays, Lance thinks it will be the quiet he craves. Lance is shocked to see Jordan living next door and vows to have her again. When Jordan sees Lance, she wants to keep him from finding out about Claus, but Lance is determined to win her over. I liked this book. I liked how much Lance changed and how he seemed to love Jordan and Claus. Lance and Claus had a great connection from the start and bonded like father and son. i think Jordan always loved Lance and i think she really wanted to be together, only she was scared he didn't love her. Good one.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Jordan and Lance. Lance is a no nonsense business kind of boss. Either you can do your job or you can do it somewhere else. Plus if anyone could be called scrooge it would be Lance. Jordan on the other hand was looking forward to Christmas. That is before she learned her boyfriend was cheating on her with one of her friends no less. While neither of them feel like attending the Christmas party that is currently going on in the building getting up to something else doesn't sound like a bad idea. Now years later they meet up again but this time Jordan has a little someone with her. Can these two find a way to have a HEA or will one bad Christmas ruin everything?
This is a great book. It does have its up and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will take you on a journey where you will find yourself cheering one moment for these characters and wanting to smack them the next. I would however highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

It is so very rare that I do not finish a book, as I will usually power through or simply skim so my time does not feel completely wasted.
Unfortunately, this is one time I am certain making it 26% of the way through but setting aside the other 74% is time saved.
Lawd, what in the?!
The first sex scene between Lance and Jordan was NOT enthusiastic consent, and had I known it wouldn’t be, I would not have picked up this book at all. She’s drunk and sad, and he’s got his hands in her panties with very, very questionable consent? Nah, kiddies, that is NOT okay.
From there she is pregnant, because of course he didn’t wear a condom or pull out AND didn’t ask her if either was okay, and suddenly he finds her years later, by chance, and instantly wants to claim her.
Huh?
Dude, you didn’t even know her last name OR get her full consent the one time you met her and now she’s yours?!
I swear, 26% in had me rolling my eyes so hard that it honestly isn’t worth the eye strain to keep going.
Like I said, I would usually push myself to finish, but if 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that life is too short to finish awful books.

Jordan's brother is really in the Christmas spirit and talks his sister into coming to his office party. Jordan isn't really in the mood after a recent break up so she goes off somewhere alone in the building. Lance owns his own business which also is in the same building as Jordan's brother and comes across Jordan. They talk for a bit and then one thing leads to another and they have sex. Only knowing each other's first names and nothing else they figure its a one time thing. Six years later when Lance is on vacation he is drawn to the neighbor next door that turns out to be Jordan. That should be a surprise in itself but she is also a single mother. Is the baby his? What will happen between them when he learns the truth?
This is a great story and once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Lance and Jordan is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

CHRISTMAS SWEETNESS
Landon is a bad a## billionaire who runs a high tech company. He has no compassion for his employees and is constantly losing them to the smaller but more family friendly company a floor above his run by Kevin, his nemesis. They both harbor a deep hatred for each other.
One night, Jordan, Kevin's sister, seeks solace in the upper floor of the building during her brother's Christmas party. Landon encounters her and sparks fly. Because of that night, Jordan's life is forever changed in many ways.
When Jordan and Landon meet again, it is 6 years later. It is wonderful to see how that spark between them is still there and how once fanned, it quickly burst into the flame it was meant to burn into. I loved that Jordan has grown so strong, that she had a backbone, and stood up to Landon.
This was a very sweet billionaire bad boy Christmas romance and there was a twist at the end that surprised me, I never saw it coming! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

This is the story of Lance and Jordan, Lance is being a real Scrooge this Christmas and he makes the female employees cry but he doesn’t care he’s a real hard arse. The company across from him is having their Christmas party but he’s not interested all he cares about is getting a cup of coffee in the employees lounge. There is a gorgeous woman sitting in the lounge she looks like a model so why not, Jordan only went to the party to make her brother happy and to get her cheating ex boyfriend out of her head and what a way to do it by having sex with a stranger. Lance claimed Jordan’s virginity that night then they went their separate ways but Lance left Jordan a very special gift. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A cute, Christmas read. ‘His Gift’ is a sweet and sexy story about two people who connect at a Christmas party and then go their separate ways. Years later, their paths cross again and their connection is every bit as strong as it was before, if not stronger.
I seem to be gravitating towards this sort of book at the moment. The kind of story you can pick up and read without going on an overly emotional rollercoaster. There are a few ups and downs but they are quickly smoothed over. That’s not to say there aren’t a few twists and turns, or that the story itself is flat or uninteresting. It just means it’s the kind of book that you’ll enjoy reading and you don’t have to think too much about what’s going on. I seem to be gravitating towards this sort of book at the moment. The kind of story you can pick up and read without going on an overly emotional rollercoaster. There are a few ups and downs but they are quickly smoothed over. That’s not to say there aren’t a few twists and turns, or that the story itself is flat or uninteresting. It just means it’s the kind of book that you’ll enjoy reading and you don’t have to think too much about what’s going on. I always enjoy reading anything by this author and this book was no exception.
Jordan and Lance shared a passionate encounter at her brother's Christmas party never expecting to see each other again. Jordan ends up pregnant but didn't tell him. Fast forward to a couple years and Lance ends up across the street to spend Christmas at a friend's house. There he meets Jordan and her son, Claus. This is the story of Lance and Jordan, Lance is being such a Scrooge this Christmas he makes the female employees cry but he doesn’t care he’s a real hardarse. The company across from him are having their Christmas party he’s not interested he just wants a cup of coffee, in the employees lounge there is a gorgeous woman just sitting there. Jordan only went to the party to make her brother happy plus she needed to get out and get over her cheating ex, and what a way to do it by having sex with a stranger. Lance claimed Jordan’s virginity that night then they went their separate ways but Lance left a gift behind in Jordan. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

You can never go wrong with Ms Ashlee Price as she quite honestly is a superb Author to me and her amazing releases prove it time and again. Within the unique pages of His Gift, you are introduced to Lance and Jordan. Naturally, this is a creatively crafted addictive romance and just when all looks lost between these two, fate has a way of stepping in and they do get their happily ever after but trust me, it truly takes a creative mind to keep you as engaged as I was along the way. Read this book and discover for yourself just how talented Ms Price is.

This 4.5-Star book will quickly engage you & draw you in. Personally, I feel it is Ashlee Price's best storyline. This second chance romance is loaded with twists and turns that leaves Price's readers guessing what else will happen next. The blurb is perfect by not giving too much of the plot so I will also do the same with my review since you will wonder what's next in this edge of your seat. Lance & Jordan have some hot chemistry, steamy encounters & witty banter & make His Gift an engaging, second chance romance that's definitely worth reading. If you haven't one-clicked this Ashlee Price recent romance yet, it not only is a second chance but is a Christmas romance too so His Gift is definitely a holiday must read this season!

This was a pretty good holiday romance. I couldn’t give it four stars because of the iffy first sex scene. Let me explain. It wasn’t iffy because I’m a prude. I’m not. I simply don’t agree with a hero having sex with a drunk heroine. An intoxicated woman (a virgin no less) cannot give consent, and I don’t think such behavior should be normalized in novels. It’s wrong on so many levels. Also, the guy didn’t know her (or her last name) and didn’t put on a condom. Immoral and irresponsible!
As their story unfolds, I grew to like her a lot more than him. His character needed to be explored more than it was. They needed a lot more time to date and get to know one another. I’ve got nothing against sex scenes, but more than 3 is overkill in my opinion.

Jordan meets Lance in the break room at an office party after a bad beak up. The one thing she never intends to do is give him everything. 6 years later they find each other again and Lance decides he is not letting her walk away again. This time it is not just her heart he has to win but her son Claus as well. He feels connected to him and doesn't understand why. Can the three of them make it as a family or will their pasts and their families tear them apart?
Another great book by Ashlee. The book drags a little bit at times but it is so worth the conclusion. I love the characters and the overall story line. I just love the mischief little Claus gets into. Of course a HEA but they has to work at it.

ASHLEE BRINGS HOME THE GOLD!!!
Wow! Am amazing read right from the start. You feel everything the characters feel. This is one emotional rollercoaster rides that actually feels more like a feel good read. You have some bittersweet moments that can bring you to your knees. All the twists and turns and the circumstances that are triggered right off the bat will blow you away. As true Ashlee form the characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable. The scenes are descriptive and detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as it plays out perfectly. Ashlee did a marvelous job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Thanks Ashlee for sharing this fantastic read with us.

I give the story 5 Blazing Stars because it has all the pleasures of a christmas story and a hot bad boy billionaire. In here we have Lance. Sexy. Smary and all Bah Humbug at Christmas. Work and the ocassuibal fling is all he wanted. He liked his Scrooge. Well then he meets an unexpected gift and surprise. Jordan Watts. Once he started his feels for Jordan all else became a blur and different. Well this tumultious story will melt your heart and feel you full of a Christmas joy with hot sleigh bells ringing. An awesome read and highly recommeded.

His Gift by Ashlee Price was a very enjoyable and exciting story that will capture your heart and hold on to it till the end. The characters are quite intriguing and very enjoyable. Jordan and Lance have a great chemistry you can feel it coming off the pages.
When these two first meet they are drawn to one another and then they go their separate ways. Now six years later they meet again and there is still that connection between them and there may be a surprise for one. I was hooked from the very start and was unable to put down. I have to say there were times when I just wanted to strangle Jordan. She was this over protective lady that didn't think she could continue her life even after certain events happened. But then throughout the story she redeems herself. She becomes this sweet young lady that you admire. Lance can be a jerk at times but he also comes around and redeems himself as well. The story is very well written and has some drama and some tense moments that also has some hot romance in it. The story is definitely worth reading and doesn't disappoint.

An interesting and well-written holiday romance that includes hot chemistry, steamy sizzling sex, twist and turns, angst, and haunting memories in this heartwarming fate induced romance. Jordan a virgin hooksup with Lance a CEO in the building she is attending a christmas party with her brother after a bad breakup that ends up leaving her pregnant with only first names exchanged. Lance six years later is attending a Christmas dinner at a clients house and happens to see Jordan acrooss the street as the clients neighbor. This is an amazing romance with a great HEA.

Christmas IS a time of miracles
A very well written bad boy billionaire second chance romance. I’ve only given this book 4 stars, because the editors and proof readers have left distracting grammatical errors, which substantiates my theory that the editors and proof readers are merely submitting the manuscript to a spell-check program, and not actually READING it. As an avid reader and an English major, I find tese types of errors causes meto come to a full stop as each error is encountered. Other than these errors, the book has well fleshed characters, a believable story line, and progresses through time quite efficiently.

Hot stuff
I picked 5 stars because it's worth it. Couldn't give it more or I so would, I loved the plot and the story line will say one down fall was wondering what happened to her brother felt like it took so long for it to get back to how he was or what happened to him. In other words was just left hanging felt like forever and made me thank the worst. But I'm so happy when they got to that part. I also loved how everyone came back together and how everything worked out. Enjoyed his and her chapters that was the best thank you. I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for something hot, spicy, emotional, a little sad, and happy all in one.
