Despite the fact that she is a romance writer, Samantha Christy's favorite television show of all time is The Walking Dead.

And contrary to the fact that her heroines drink things like wine and Cosmos, she prefers Bud Light.

She also loves fan mail and answers all of it.

She went to college and all that, getting a degree in something she never uses. She's also got a gaggle of kids (4) and a pretty decent husband.

What a great wrap to this amazing baseball-related series! The Perfect Game Series introduced some of the best ever sports characters that included Caden and Murphy and Brady and Rylee. And saving the cocky and broken short stop for last was more than worth the wait. Sawyer Mills and Aspen were an imperfectly perfect match-up. I loved the banter between them, the achingly sweet way their romance grew from an accidental meet, and the plot that kept me guessing all over the place for reasons why Sawyer fought commitment. Samantha Christy knocked this one out of the ballpark. Best of the series in my opinion -- and I loved them all.

I'm sad to see this series end, but anxious to see what becomes of Aspen's former roommate and best friend, Bass, when he gets his own book.

If you like romance and baseball, this is a winning series you won't want to miss.

“Sometimes rules are made to be broken. Unless it hurts someone. Would you be hurting someone?”

“Just me”

Stealing Sawyer is the third and final book in Samantha Christy’s HOT baseball series The Perfect Game. Sawyer Mills is a player in all sense of the word. A man with secrets that have defined his life. Until he meets Aspen Andrews during a low point in both their lives. Will Sawyer open up to Aspen or is the hurt to deep? Will Aspen lose her focus on what means the most and lose herself? In true Samantha fashion, this book will grab your heart after EVERY chapter, make you laugh out loud at all the right places, and keep you guessing and wanting more till the very end.

Stealing Sawyer completes Samantha Christy’s steamy baseball series The Perfect Game, and WOW what a way to finish! This book has all the emotional twists and turns Samantha is known for and does not disappoint with her steamy romance and HEA.

Sawyer is the bad boy of baseball leaving a trail of broken hearts after his rule of “one and done”. But, Aspen is a woman like no other and she will “...love him from the pit of my stomach to the end of my soul...”.

If you haven’t read the first two books in the series, Catching Caden and Benching Brady you still have time! Stealing Sawyer officially releases on September 20th. I recommend preordering your copy now.

Enjoyed it. Sawyer was kind of a jerk but as you get through the story, it is completely understandable. Plus, seeing him grow and change was rewarding. Aspen was great. She could see the man he was supposed to be and wanted to set him free. My issue here was their situation was supposed to be a secret, but they talked about it openly in every cab ride they took! I kept waiting for it to get out. VERY satisfying ending!

Sawyer Mills will steal your heart faster than he can steal a base. You see glimpses of him in Catching Cade and Benching Brady and it makes you want more. But the question is, will Speed Limit ever reach his limit of one night stands? I loved the characters and the story, especially the butterfly. Though I don’t watch baseball and pretty much know nothing about it, I loved this series!

Problems with this book included the absurd "contract" between the male and female leads, the "secret" person (Danny? Dani? male? female?) leading to misunderstandings, the old "I can never commit to a relationship because I will only hurt you" meme, and . . . no, that's sufficient to get the point across. Disappointing, to put it mildly.

While I liked the story, the characters, this hit one of my pet peeves. The "contract" isn't how baseball works, you can't sign your contract to move to another team. Your team doesn't sign your contract over to another team. They trade you, you request a trade. I know this was done to fit the story, but it made it lose something for me. Ask a true sports fan, google how it happens. I once read a book and the HS football player was talking to his agent, well if he had one he couldn't play college football which was what he was hoping. Things like this annoy me. That said...

Man whore Sawyer is threatened to be traded to KC if he doesn't straighten up his act. Worried, walking, he walks into a hot woman, and they have a 'Platonic' drink not really talking about their troubles. He walks her home then, Platonic flies out the window. He leaves in the morning before she awakes and then thinks of an idea that could save both him and her.

Furthermore, he will pay her to be his fake girlfriend in return she can pay for her brother's troubles, pay for her schooling. What makes it better is she adds to contract no sex. Seems she doesn't remember that night at all. He does. As the two spend time together they grow closer, develop feelings and then when things are going great the proverbial 'shit' hits the fan.

Will she be able to trust him? Is he man enough to fight and prove her wrong?

Where do I begin?......

We all waited for this one and let me tell you…. Samantha did not disappoint. OMG…. What a story!!!
Aspen receives fantastic news only to have it ripped away after receiving one single phone call, and to make matters worse, she is soaked from head to toe when a passing bus splashes gutter water all over her. A drink… That’s what she needs…

Sawyer has had a shitty day after being called into the “Principals Office” Rick doesn’t like him and makes no bones about it. He wants him gone but Jason the Team owner decides to give him another chance. He has to turn things around or he will lose everything he has worked so hard for.

Now ladies here is where things get interesting… Sawyer offers to buy this devastated and beautiful young woman a drink after he discovers that she too has had shitty day but little does he know, he is about to bye her a whole lot more. ;)

Nope, not telling what that is…. LOL

When I first read about Sawyers character in the previous book I was eager to find out what his story was. He was somewhat of a loner. He never dated the same woman twice and I couldn’t understand why. Was it because he was young and didn’t care? The reasons behind it was so emotional, it brought tears to my eyes. I read this same peace over several times because damn these tears just wouldn’t stop. Reading while crying?..... Not a good idea. The words become all foggy, I had no choice but to read it again and again. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it ;)

The characters all have their own story to tell and the story behind Sawyer will leave you speechless. I cannot wait for Bass and Denver’s stories. You are probably wondering who these characters are but I won’t give it away. You will have to read the book to find out. As usual I could say a lot more but less said is more. ;)

Style of writing: I have said it before, Samantha Christy is pure genius. I enjoy her way of writing and the way she casts her characters with dual POV. This book is full of love, amazing passion and awesome humour. I cried because I was sad, I cried because I was happy and I cried because I laughed so much. I cannot wait for you all to read this amazing love story.

Holy crap, wow, I liked that so much better than I expected to. Judged this book by its (lacklustre) cover - after downloading it for its synopsis - and I left it sitting on my kindle for a good few weeks until I finished the other stories I deemed to be more pressing. I DEVOURED this once I started it, because once you get into the story, good luck returning to reality.

I haven’t read the other books in this series, or anything else by this author, but I’m a fan. I think this trope is something some readers may have had trouble with, but I’ve been reading for so long and I’ve seen so many variations of this that it doesn’t faze me anymore. And I really did see a connection develop between the protagonists - eventually, not immediately and that’s actually one of the reasons I liked it so much! It wasn’t at all “insta” and I found that to be much more believable than if they were to be all over each other from the beginning. I really don’t want to say anything about this story because there are quite a few surprises hidden within, and it’s so much better to go in unprepared than to know them all ahead of time.

I absolutely LOVED Aspen and Sawyer’s book!! Sawyer...the quintessential one and done ball player, and sweet, unassuming Aspen are completely not right for each other. Right? Then when Sawyer comes up with his “plan” I thought for sure Aspen would tell him to take a hike....I loved the tension between them, I loved the banter...I loved THEM! But Sawyer has a pretty big secret. Don’t hesitate to one click this book...you won’t regret it!!

DNF
I am disappointed because I was super excited about this book but tbh expected something entirely different. I DNFed pretty quickly for a few simple reasons:

1. Their entire fake "relationship" starts with them banging the shit out of each other right on their first encounter, few hours after getting drunk together.
That was the nail to this story's coffin. If you give me a book about fake relationship, please don't rob me of the anticipation for their first kiss, the opportunity to witness our characters getting to know each other, the chance to see how our characters grow within the story while falling for one another. That's what this whole trope entails: the anticipation and so much needed slow burn to make this story believable.

2. What girl doesn't know she had sex last night? I get it, she was drunk as hell when they had sex (how romantic). But she did remember them kissing, and that they got to her apartment together but she somehow forgot they had sex? And maybe somehow I could believe that, but she said she hadn't had sex for a really looooong time, so after this significant time of dry spell when she finally got laid, she didn't feel even a bit sore or anything so she could add 2 and 2 together?

3. Very little to nothing when it comes to character development.

4. Zero chemistry or build up due to fucked up beginning of their story.

I think I'll try the other books from the series. I just started with this one because fake relationship is my all-time favourite trope in romance fiction and the premise was so good, I just couldn't wait.
I truly hope the other books will be better.

If you've read Samantha Christy before, you already know she DOES NOT disappoint. Sawyer is another hit out of the park, a real Grand Slam!! As always friends from earlier books make a visit, just wish more showed up. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. I am a forever FANGIRL

If you are new to Ms. Christy you will love this book, it has all the feels you will love. But be warned it will make you want to start at the beginning with Purple Orchids and the Mitchell Sisters. If you are like the rest of us, you will then need to move on to the Stone Brothers and then the the Baseball series (swoon).

I was hooked from the beginning. I did figure out most of Sawyers issues before they were spelled out but loved how they were explained and even surprised at a some of the details. I absolutely love, love, loved the ending and epilogue.

Samantha I wish I knew how you come come up with such awesome stories and characters, time after time. I'm also so glad you share them with us. I am proud to say I am a huge fan and I tell everyone who will listen to check you out.

The Perfect Game series ended perfectly with the third and final book, Stealing Sawyer. I was so enchanted by Sawyer and Aspen's story and didn't want to put it down! I had been looking so forward to Sawyer's story and as always Samantha didn't disappoint! I loved Aspen and the way she brought out the best in Sawyer and made him toe the line in dating etiquette. We get to revisit beloved characters from previous books, find out why Sawyer is a one and done womanizer, and go along for the ride as these two fall hard and fast. Humor, drama, heartbreak and angst, along with sizzle and steam makes this a story with everything I love in a romance. You need to check out the Perfect Game Series......you will love these books!

3.5 stars. This book was good but not great. The “drama” and explanation for why Sawyer was the way he was seemed over the top & unbelievable to me. Like the whole time there was this huge foreshadowing for why he can’t commit to one girl... and then the reason just seems so dumb. He thinks he’s going to be an abuser even though he abuses absolutely no one. 😅 ok 👍🏻 I guess that just ruined the book for me a little & put it so far into unreal territory that I just can’t ignore it. Also the whole team transfer, the prenup, the twins. Riiiiight.

Ohhhh my Sawyer. Who doesn’t love baseball players after reading Samantha’s Perfect Game Series?!?! This book touched me deeply. Honestly all I can say is you HAVE to read this book. You will not be disappointed at all. So many emotions, ugh, the feels! I don’t know how she does it, but Samantha always delivers with the best! Holy amazing! I have to say this book brought all the emotions! I absolutely loved reading Sawyer's story! And I loved Aspen and her story as well! So many surprises in between the laughing and the crying. It did not play out how I thought it would and I love that I couldn't predict what happened next in this amazing story. I cannot wait to read it again!

Okay, here's my main problem with this book: he used two condoms. Something everyone SHOULD know is bad, and carries more danger of rupture, and therefore, the risk of pregnancy and stds. Besides that, it's a good story, I enjoyed it and I felt fpr both protagonists as the story progressed.

I'm not sure why I love this series (trilogy) so much, but every book in the series got me. LOL

I love this story of Sawyer and Aspen, the story of a fake relationship in order to save Sawyer's career and for Aspen to save her brother, Denver. I love that every single main character from the 2 previous books were back and filled special roles in this book. While there was an emotional aspect to every story and some negative aspects (among the characters), every story ended with a HEA.

This book was mostly predictable which normally I don't care for, but this time it was different. It was like I knew what was going to happen but not how/when; however, there was one twist that I wasn't expecting at all and it really got to me emotionally.

I'm sorry this series is only a trilogy, but I'll forever love Caden and Murphy, Brady and Rylee, and Sawyer and Aspen. I'd LOVE to be good friends with them in real life, especially since I love baseball and GOOD people!

Sawyer can steal me!

Aspen a Julliard student and Sawyer the short stop for a professional baseball team meet by coincidence on the day that both of their lives seem to be going down roads neither want. An agreement is made for Aspen to pretend to be Sawyers girlfriend helping to change his bad boy reputation and for Aspen to get the money she desperately needs. Thru out the time they spend together they both start to develop feeling for each other only Sawyer refuses to give in because of his past. Sawyer is a dirty man. The spice in this book is amazing.

Just like before while this book is not dark there are memories of darkness that can be triggering. Please check them before you jump in.

Once again Samantha Christy gives the reader lovable characters and a storyline they cannot put down. Sawyer, bad-boy shortstop, needs to improve his image to remain on the team. Aspen, Julliard grad and piano pro, needs money to complete her education and to get her brother out of a jam. When the two meet up outside a bar on the worst day of each of their lives, not only do they share their bad days but a connection is made. But can real chemistry be overshadowed by a secret plan to help each other? Or will secrets from both their pasts end up doing more harm than good when they are revealed. I will say it again, nothing is better than romance and baseball and Samantha Christy never disappoints!!

Stealing Sawyer by Samantha Christy baseball sports romance. This is the third book in the The Perfect Game Series.

Sawyer and Aspen are both having a bad day when their paths cross. These two end up in a fake relationship which benefits them both. That is until feelings become real and secrets are exposed.

I enjoyed this story a little more than the others in the series, but I think it’s because I’d gotten used to the side characters by this time.

Disappointing

I am so disappointed in this story. I really enjoyed the previous ones in the series and was looking so forward to this story. It fell well short of the mark. Sawyer's big hangup about relationships was a bit over the top. I just didn't feel like these characters had much going on in the story. I didn't feel connected to either character really. It just wasn't a gripping story. And after she "catches" him at fundraiser nothing really happens to make him seem like he has to even try. The misunderstandings are pretty much immediately resolved with little to no effort. There just wasn't anything that held the interest in the storyline. Plus the epilogue was completely rushed. There was so much that needed more info. Especially what happened with Denver! It was completely drawn out throughout and then seemed to just end out of nowhere. Very disappointing ending to the series

The highly anticipated ending to the Perfect Game series, Stealing Sawyer did not disappoint. A story of how our pasts do not define us and the choices we make are ours alone. A great story of growth and overcoming fears to get the HEA! Hot sexy scenes, a strong female leading lady, and a fast (on the field and in the bedroom) baseball hottie are the perfect combination for hours if can’t put it down reading. Enjoy!

Sawyer definitely stole my heart right along w/ Aspen! I'm so happy I randomly came across this series with Catching Caden!

This story was unique, sweet, fun, teary, and the ending was an all around ball of goodness! And next year we're getting Bass's story, which I'm happy to see is happening. I'm hoping maybe we'll get a Denver story as well, or at least more updates.

Highly enjoyed this story, this series, and it's a definite recommendation!! Play ball! : )

3 stars. The feels between the characters didn't seem believable to me as things were happening. I felt it by the end but some of it just didn't flow right for me. I liked the premise and the narration was once again great, but it didn't keep my attention like the previous book in the series did.

This was another great story by Samantha Christy. I'm really enjoying her books. This one didn't disappoint... well except for the female voice on the audio. She ends her words is a strange way. I would have rather read this one.
