***** READERS/REVIEWERS**** PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT POST SPOILERS IN YOUR REVIEWS! If you have read the book, you know what I am talking about! If you feel like you absolutely need to put reference in the review, PLEASE note right from the start that it contains spoilers so other readers can read for themselves and get the surprise. THANK YOU! ****

The last thing I expect when I walk into The Hawkeye Club is to fall head over heels in lust. It’s supposed to be a rescue mission. I have to get my baby sister off the pole, into some clothes, and out of the grasp of the pussy peddler who somehow manipulated her into stripping. But the moment I see Savage Hawke and verbally spar with him, my ability to remain rational flies out the window and my libido takes center stage. I’ve never wanted a relationship—my time is better spent focusing on taking down the scum running this city—but what I want and what I need are apparently two different things.

Danika Eriksson storms into my office in her high heels and on her high horse. Her holier-than-thou attitude and accusations should offend me, but instead, I can’t get her out of my head or my heart. Her incomparable drive, take-no-prisoners attitude, and blatant honesty captivate me and hold me prisoner. I should steer clear, but my self-preservation instinct is apparently dead—which is exactly what our relationship will be once she knows everything. It’s only a matter of time.

The truth doesn’t always set you free. Sometimes, it just royally screws you.

DNF at 20%

Actually I wanted to DNF the book earlier because of the heroine. She feels great lust towards the hero when she first meets him and then on the same day, while still fantasizing about the hero, she hooks up with a guy who resembles the hero and has sex with him. (All because she was horny and it had been 12 days since she last had sex with her f*ck-buddy who left town for good and thus, left her without orgasms for so long!!!!!!) Anyways, sex with this guy doesn't end well as she calls him the hero's name. This scene was not something I wanted to read about in my romance book but I tried to move on. I went on reading because I wanted to see what was so great about this book as people were ahhing and ohhing about it but then, I felt shocked and deceived by what I learnt on page 65.

Why did no one tell about it in their reviews? I would have preferred to know and I would definitely have put this book on my "avoid" shelf if I had been informed about it.

Everyone has their own pet peeves and the subjects they avoid in their romance books and I have mine and this issue is important enough to be mentioned about in the blurb and in the reviews.

I need a romance that will make me happy but now I am sitting with my kindle in my hands and feeling deeply sorry for the hero - so very sorry and sad. And sad is not what I need now - I needed a "make-happy" romance book. I thought this was a hot and passionate love story between a sassy woman and an alpha male because the blurb is constructed to make me think so but alas, now I want to sit and cry for the hero.

Feeling totally misled by the blurb, I am giving the book 1 star!

*********************************************

I don't want readers like me to feel the same so I am dropping a major spoiler here about the hero if you want to know about it.

If you ask me, it shouldn't be called "a spoiler" at all but "a warning"; however, seeing everyone hiding it, I guess I'd better hide it under a spoiler tag just to be safe...

To sum it up, I need my romance book free of health problems - I have enough stress about health issues in real life and I don't need more of them here in Romancilandia. Therefore, I am out! Braver people can still enjoy it...

It's a volatile book, emotions churning everywhere. Gwyn came highly recommended and it was tiem to pop the cherry, so to speak.
The story plot was amazing. A hero who's got his own very large demons to tackle with. He's stuff the alpha dreams are made of. It was refreshing to see The Savage Hawke, the owner of Hawkeye club be so vulnerable, so doubtful of his prowess, it's rare to see in generally OTT alphas written all around.
Danika Eriksson enters his club like a hurricane. All spitting fire and fisted hands. His gaze locks on her and world is turned upside down
She's looking for a fight and to rescue her sister from his club.
His calm demeanour and drop dead good looks halt her in her steps and she falls for him. Albeit in lust at first.
Their first date goes well.trouble starts on the second date.
There were a few things that irked me.
The story had the potential to be the angstiest, ugly cry book of the year, but the author focused more on the lasvicious aspect more, physical chemistry more than the emotional relationship, as is evident in the first chapter itself.
Secondly non-communication dragged the story for far too long.
Apart from Savage, all characters were basically two dimensional. The end seemed to have wrapped up with no twists or supposed danger, which was a tad unbelievable.
But the story itself was amazing, had it been woven or projected differently
But please go ahead and read this unique story.
4 stars for pussy peddler with a heart of gold

I really enjoyed this story! A great introduction to a series that has boundless possibilities. This book had my attention from the start. I loved the tension between Savage (love this name by the way) and Dani. Their personalities spark from the very beginning. Dani 's feisty, no nonsense demeanor made me love her and Savage's alpha with a vulnerable side made me swoon. These two and the supporting characters kept me wanting more. There is a bit of a twist that gives this book a great non-traditional spin on the hero. You'll have to read to find out. But I thought it was a great storyline that brought out some amazing emotion with the backstory and the issues that the characters faced. Looking forward to more from this author and these characters!

DNF at 32%. I may come back to this but the way the author wrote certain things is not sitting well with me. Plus the heroine is BEYOND annoying.

WOW...This book ended up being something I never seen coming!! I fell head over heals with the two main characters! Savage Hawke-Good lord, what a bad ass name for the male lead in this book. I just love saying it...Savage Hawke...yup, nice ring to it,Right?? lol and Yes ladies, he is the new BBF today!!

Soo the book starts off with Savage Hawke in his office and a woman by the name of Danika Eriksson comes barging in to his club and she is pissed off because her little sister works there and she is not happy about it.

"Damn. This woman is livid and hot as fucking hell."

And as all us book hookers know that when a woman comes barreling into the office hotter then a hornet, our leading man gets the hots for them!! And yes of course Mr. Hawke cant take his eyes off of this woman and so yes, the cat and mouse game is on!!! But...this book has a twist to it that I never seen coming and this twist made me fall sooo hard for this male lead!! This book also had such a different storyline that I just loved it!! I know.I know, I am repeating myself again. lol

This book was my first read by Gwyn McNamee and will not be my last!! I do want to point one thing out though and I am sooo glad that I continued on reading this book. The first several chapters, to me, my opinion..... I felt that the build up of the sexual feelings that were mentioned, that each character had was a little tooo much. Gasp...I know how can I say that, too much sexual tension?? It was like every few pages, and to me was just a bit much and not really needed. But after I got past all that, I am telling you that this book was really a fabulous read!!!
Sooo now ladies, you need to go one click this bad boy and find out how Savage and Danika deal with this little twist of events that I never seen coming!!

I gave this book 5 iScream Books Stars. This book really makes your heart smile!! : )

This was the first book in a new series too me and this was my first time reading this author. When Danika Eriksson finds out that her little sister is working at a strip club she goes to get her off the pole she comes face to face with hot sexy Savage Hawke and its lust at first sight. Savage is shocked by Danika he runs a legitimate business in New Orleans and everything is on the up and up. The ladies that work for him are not under duress paid well, and are able to work in a drug free harassment free environment. Danika is beautiful and he's immediately attracted which is something that he hasn't felt in a few years. These two had some hot chemistry but both have a lot of baggage. Danika who is an investigated reporter who is working on a big story and its creating problems for some powerful people in the underworld an the political arena. This was a good read with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series

I really don't think it's appropriate to be using a disability for some sort of shock value in a story. When the heroine and hero first meet, the heroine is not aware that the hero uses a wheelchair. The 'big reveal' takes place when the heroine goes to the hero's house for dinner. He appears around the corner and the heroine drops (smashes) a bottle of wine and has a massive freakout. It's ridiculous and incredibly insulting.

The heroine does eventually resemble a normal person and becomes a supportive partner but the book was already soured for me. The characters and storyline were rather silly too. I know it's not a book that's meant to be taken seriously but it could have been done better.

I can't believe I've waited so much before to read this book...please don't make my mistake and get Savage Collision right now.

This story is thrilling and engaging...there are some "WTF" moments and other times where you will held your breath.

Gwyn McNamee writing is brilliant, there wasn't a dull moment during the narration and the characters are well developped and unforgettable.

Danika and Savage sexual chemistry is clear since their first encounter but our heroine didn't know that domineering man will completely change her life, making her crave something more than sex.

I can't wait to get my hands on the second precious book in the series.

**WARNING!! CONTAINS SPOILERS!!**

From the moment Danika storms into Savage’s office, they both know they are in trouble. Danika has never been in a serious relationship and never intended to be in one. She was all about one night stands and keeping life casual. Danika is an investigative reporter and work is her life. She’s a tough girl who knows what she wants and has confidence in spades. She finds out her little sister, Nora, dropped out of college and starting working at a high end gentlemen’s club, so Danika goes to chew out Nora’s new boss, Savage Hawke. She storms into his office and the games begin. Savage has been struggling for the past three years to have some normalcy in his life. Ever since the accident that claimed his sister’s life and took his ability to walk, he can’t find what he’s looking for, someone to love and hold on to. So when Danika storms into his life, it’s the last thing he expects. She initially doesn’t know about his inability to walk, so she has trouble trusting him at first. Let’s just say, Danika and Savage have a very strained beginning. These two have every reason not to be together, but neither one can break away. Their instant connection is unstoppable and they make themselves miserable trying to fight what they feel. Outside forces drive the story, which really kept me guessing! I really liked the intense feeling the book has, like every chapter could bring about the end for these two. You never really knew what was going to happen next or how this couple would end up. As much as I dislike when a book couple can’t get their stuff together and just be happy, with Danika and Savage, it really made sense. At times, I wanted them to break up because one or the other was being dumb, but they had been through so much emotionally that their turmoil was something they couldn’t avoid. This is a standalone book but the rest of the Hawke siblings will be getting their own books soon, so stay tuned to Gwyn McNamee! I give “Savage Collision” five stars!

Fmc is feisty goes to rescue her sister from strip club. She tells off Hawke the owner. Soon she’s falling into lust with him. Low angst kept story that could have been 5 stars from reaching its potential… ended up being blah…H is in wheelchair due to auto accident and can’t use his legs but everything else works. There’s too much focus on him actually penetrating… just his mental hangups… which are sad and ultimately boring as this becomes the thousand time reason for pushback when the guy was originally on fire for the fmc…. Should have been better… instead it was mediocre and I wouldn’t remember it without this synopsis.

This was absolutely incredible.

I'm not to express myself, OMG, but this book. Left me with my heart in my hand.

So accustomed, and even loving the clichés. Savage Collision, is that book that runs away from everything you expect.
I did not expect to fall in love with Savage the way I fell for him.

You enter the story expecting an alpha male, bossy, who will be that crazy fucking, and the young girl full of doubts. I've never been so happy to be wrong.

Savage is intense, passionate, broken, sensitive, and at the same time so strong. Nothing of what you expect from a strip club owner. He has his rules. He is controller, and see what he has become despite all the trauma and all that he has gone through. Wow. I definitely fell in love with him. I went through so many parties just wanting to climb on his lap, hug him and say that everything was going to be okay.

Danika is not one of the typical cool young girls we both meet in our literary world. She is brave, determined, and does what she wants whenever she wants. He does not let himself be influenced. She did not seek a love. She did not look for anything serious. But Savage. Oh, this man.

I loved the way their relationship grew, the overcoming, the problems, the traumas, the prejudices, in which she did not give up, she was there for him, rediscovering, healing and loving. It was amazing. *Sigh.

It will tip you off, you will fall in love, cheer, go crazy with the hot moments because baby, wow they have a chemistry that is not explosive is nuclear. And end with that epic hangover in the End.

Savage Collision By Gwyn McNamee 5 Stars
This is the start of our forever.
The moment I met him I knew I would never be the same. He has proven to me that he is the best decision in have made in my life.
This was such an awesome book. There are so many twists and turns and when you think you have figured out what's going on, bam it goes another way and your like what the crap just happened. I have never read a book like this before and it was well written. This book was such a deep level of emotion and the author examines issues you do not see in a romance novel. The emotional rollercoaster your on reading this will have you feeling happy, sad, mad, and cry big fat ugly tears.
Hawk and Dani are both scared of being hurt. When they are apart they are both miserable. But both of them have a secret that neither one knows about. Hawk is afraid to expose his secret for fear of Dani running from him. Dani's secret as a journalist could get her and her informant killed. When everything blows up, will they still be standing when the dust settles. Are their secrets the wedge that will divide them. Please read to find out.

Totally and completely captivated from the very first page. Unlike any book I have ever read and I mean that in the best way. This is a new author to me and I was so impressed with the writing and emotions I felt while reading this. There is action, suspense , love and a little angst that will pull you in until the last page. Savage is a man of mystery with a very strong alpha presents to him. He is not a man you would want to cross. Danika is a very independent woman that has no filter and says what she thinks and when she and Savage butt heads, she leaves hot and flustered and Savage is intrigued. He will have her but he has to keep her safe first. Highly recommended. Yes, I will definitely read more from this author!! Great job!

Dani (short for Danika) is a foul mouth, zero tolerance for bullshit investigative reporter. When she learns that her baby sister drops out of college to strip at a club owned by Savage Hawk, she don't think twice about confronting said owner. Storming in his office like she owns the damn place ready to tear into this man, she's immediately stopped by the gorgeous God that sits behind the desk. Leaving with drenched panties she's determined to get Savage out of her head. Yeah right! Svante and Dani can't keep their thoughts on anything but each other. When Dani arrives at Savage's apartment for a romantic dinner and hopes for a hawt night of action, she's met with a huge and heartbreaking surprise!
This one pulls on the heartstrings and makes you see that LOVE truly does conquer all!

Didnt like the H

Savage irritated me from the very beginning and, to me, his character only got worse from there. My dislike of his character coupled with the fact that I was told there was this connection and heat between him and our heroine versus feeling and experiencing it thru the writing, made this book a no go for me. Gabe was the most intriguing character and I'm tempted to try the next book if only for him.

Going to need a minute....Okay, I'm ready.
Fucking Savage Hawke. Why can't I wake up next to you every day? Well, because, you found Danika. I am fully invested in this relationship. Funny as hell, hawt AF, this list goes on. The only thing I disliked about this book is that it ended. The good ones always make you hate it when they end. Gwyn you have a loyal reader of life.

Savage Collision is book one in the Hawke Family series by Gwyn McNamee. I was first introduced to this author when reading the Scandalous Slip series and was so happy I discovered her. She is a witty, descriptive and extremely talented. Savage Collision was a more serious story that instantly grabbed my attention.

Dani had sass and attitude aplenty, and Savage feels that full force of it from the very first meeting. Savage is astounded and captivated. Their story is so edgy and fraught with danger and suspense. One thing blatantly obvious is the intense attraction. The chemistry is off the charts and I was drawn tight in anticipation. The drawing magnetism that is apparent between them is its own living, breathing entity, and left me a quivering mess of emotion.

Savage Collision is an amazing introduction into the Hawke family. Dani and Savage’s journey was electric, inspiring and arousing. The secondary characters I cannot wait to get to know more of and continue this dangerously addictive series. 5 stars

Savage Collision is written by Gwyn McNamee. This is my first read from this Author and it will not be my last. Gwyn McNamee did a great job on this book. The story is well written. This book has suspense, keeps you on the edge of your seat. You will not be able to put this book down. This story is filled with so many different emotions. I felt happy, sad, mad, I laughed, I even cried. I was on an emotional roller coaster. The main characters Savage Hawke and Danika. Savage Hawke has power, he is protective, smart, fighter, rough and handsome. Danika has power in her own way, there is just something about her, she is fierce, sassy, strong, smart, and a fighter. There is many secrets, twists, in this story. Savage and Danika are perfect together. Savage and Danika have great chemistry. There are many obstacles, in this book. I do not want to say too much. I don't want to give anything away. This is just a really great book. I would recommend this story. It will not disappoint. The spoiler will , keep you thinking about this book for a long time. It is hard not to give more details, it's like when you go see I really good movie, and you have to tell everyone all about it. I really enjoyed this story. I am looking forward to reading more. I give this book 5 stars. Thank you, Gwyn McNamee. Great work on this book :)

Savage Collision💥

Danika storms into Savage’s office to give him a piece of her mind, and is caught off guard by this handsome, powerfully enigmatic man❣️ Likewise, Savage is also caught off guard by Danika and her fiery passion and beliefs.

Savage invites her to dinner, but it soon becomes clear he has some secrets that he needs to reveal before they get further involved. A great story with depth and well developed characters that kept me turning the pages. I will admit I was a little shocked initially by Savage’s secret and how he reveals this to Danika but I ultimately enjoyed their story and romance😍

I’m looking forward to getting to know the Hawkes and those involved with their family more🤩

Sharon says read...I read. That is how I found this story, still in shock that it's a debut novel. Ms. McNamee did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and shocking the ever loving shit out of me at 20%. I usually am ahead of the game with my stories but this one totally took me by surprise and I loved it. There was a little too much emphasis on one thing for me..without telling too much I felt like one of the challenges they faced took too many pages to find it's way. Was it important? Yes. I just didn't need as much time dedicated to it to keep the story flowing. But as a whole this debut novel grabbed me from the very beginning with a strong woman and held me hostage with the relationship between these two. Really enjoyed and I look forward to reading more from this author!

Beautiful Romance

Danika is hell-bent on tearing her sister's boss a new one when she first meets Savage Hawke; she doesn't expect to fall for the man. Savage is equally smitten, but he has a secret, that even when it's revealed, continues to torment him.
Crime, psychological stress and love vie for position in McNamee's compelling romance. First class.

I fell in love with the writing of Gwyn McNamee after reading her Billionaire Lumberjack series. So of course that means that I need to pick up other books she's written!

Savage and Danika meet after she chews him out for hiring her little sister at his strip club. Their personalities spark from the very beginning and had me turning the page in order to find out what was happening next.

Not only do these two characters have exploding chemistry but they both have their own baggage that they need to deal with. Throw in ton of emotional moments and some danger and it makes for a good read.

I cannot wait to pick up the second book in the series!

Fantastic read

Gwen McNamee never disappoints. On to the 2nd Hawke book. Hopefully it doesnt kill me. Skye lost her twin sister in a car accident. As a twin the thought of losing my twin hurts so bad.
