(Devastation Trilogy, book 3, MMF, political romance)

What do you do when you gain everything you think you want…but lose everything you think you need?

She doesn’t know how to give up…

Off-limits.

Boss.

Married.

But now…

The excuses are gone, and the gloves are off.

Except there’s a jungle of pain to carve through first, and I don’t know if I’m strong enough.

All I know is I’m willing to try, if they are.

I suspect if we can make it through to the other side that we’ll be unstoppable.

It’s the journey that’s a bitch, though.

So buckle up, buttercup. It’s going to be a wild ride.

She lives in her own little world, but it's okay, because they all know her there.

This is Case’s book. I have no problem saying I don’t like her. Normally I love a strong woman who overcomes adversity (I adore Tilly from the author’s Suncoast Society written under the name Tymber Dalton). But for me Case was just mean in her self protection and nothing she did changed my mind. I fully understand a woman hurt and traumatized as a child protecting herself, but Case took that to the point of making sure she had ways to destroy everyone in the name of protecting herself. Even those she claimed to love.

This trilogy is appropriately named Devastation. As each of the three were devastated by an event. George’s book was the most difficult for me to get through because I know the pain of losing a spouse suddenly (in my case not tragically). But having experienced that level of grief - it is a type of PTSD. Declan’s book was sad. Case’s book is just a deep dive into how a person hurts everyone around them, even those they love, in the name of protecting themselves.

That’s my 2 cents, your mileage may vary.

Very Very Intense

This was an excellent conclusion to this series. This is an edge of your seat, grip the book, and bite your tongue type of book. You will find yourself wanting to jump into the book wanting to shake Casey out of her mind and have her look what is right in front of her.

There will be many things you will not see coming and there might be a time or two that you want to scream and throw the book.

Be sure to bring along a whole box of Kleenex because you are going to need it.

Until Next Time.... Tabi

FIVE STARS for this MMF Trilogy.

When I read DIRGE I was certain that I would like George the best ( he first appeared in the book LIEUTENANT and I liked him so much & he is terrific in DIRGE ). But now that I have read RELEASE, I like Casey the best beyond doubt. George is a survivor but Casey can persevere through anything. She is tough beyond words and makes her own luck.

I highly recommend this MMF trilogy. Especially this book.

Casey rocks!

Once again, Richardson does an excellent job of balancing her "strong female characters" with depth and humanity. George might be the reason for this particular triad relationship, and Declan is the heart, but Casey is the foundation. I thoroughly enjoyed the various twists that Richardson introduces in the dynamics between each of the characters, which makes the final happily ever after between them all the more satisfying.

Wow- just wow!
This book was a roller coaster in emotions. I laughed and cried and cringed and cheered. It is written in Casey's POV. We relived her past with her and her relationships with Ellen, Declan and George. We got our resolution to what went on in the story line and I loved how all the emotions of all of the characters played out. BRAVO Lesli Richardson!

Ohhh my, another fabulous trilogy by Lesli Richardson. Her books have quickly become some of my most favourite reads! Again, in my opinion this series was another home run! The characters, the storyline, even when it was heartbreakingly sad...I just loved it all! I will now not so patiently be waiting for the next trilogy to be released!

This was the perfect end to the series. Casey was such a powerful character with deep emotional scars. She is magnificent. I loved her relationship with George and Declan and her youthful relationship with Ellen. There were twists in this book that made me curse. It didn't go where I wanted it to, but in the end, it was perfect.

So very sneaky

The entire time unread this series I assumed that George was a sneaky bastard. I didn't realize at the time that Casey had him beat. I love this little happy trip of people killing to go to war for the people they love.

Totally gripping finale to this trilogy.
George is getting better (slowly); Declan is defyingly lovely; and Casey is as strong as she's ever been.
It's a very moving story tying these three together.
Wonderful stuff :)

Another great story! I love that this is from Casey's pov. Of the Three books I think that this one might be my Favorite. I love that there are things that crop up that I was unprepared for.

Well, I wrote it in my review of "Dirge", but I'm gonna say it here: I had a hard time connecting to the characters.
I'm pretty sure it was me, and not the author.

But, good news: For the last part of this book (let's say, 60%) I loved it! Maybe it was because Case was more open and so it was easier for me to relate to her, maybe it was something else, I don't know, BUT I really liked the end, and so I put 4 stars.

Anyway, I hope you'll like it as well,
