This MOB short story is sweet. Deals with loss and starting over and the different ways people do that. When Cole orders a MOB for his brother it starts it all in motion.

I love strong, courageous women. And Caroline is just such a woman. After Caroline’s father dies, she pays off his debts and decides to leave Richmond and build a new life for herself somewhere else. When she sees an ad for mail order brides out west, she is determined to take a chance out on the frontier. Things don’t go as planned, of course. Travis, the man she thought she would marry, rejects her and tells her to go back to Virginia. Caroline is an independent woman with a mind and a will of her own, however. She is determined to stay and find another man to marry. As expected, she and Travis do eventually fall for each other. But despite knowing they will get together, the intriguing part of the story was seeing just how each overcame their losses and fears to fall in love. This was a clean and refreshingly sweet love story that made me smile with satisfaction when the couple realized they truly loved each other. My only quibble is that the story was shorter than I wanted it to be. The characters were so well developed that I fell in love with them. I’d love reading more about Travis, Caroline, and their life in Wyoming.
Wyoming, the old beautiful West, Cole and his brother Travis run a nice ranch there. But Travis has experienced such heartache after his wife died. Cole wants to find a way to help Travis, bring him back to the land of living and open his heart. Cole signs Travis up for a mail order bride, after talking with their Reverend. A sweet gal from Virginia is excited to come marry Travis, since her Papa has died and left her with nothing but dirt and debt. She arrives in Wyoming, but things don't go as planned. Travis is having none of it, he is outraged. And then everything starts to fall apart, trouble hits the ranch. I thought this is a good book to start a series with and I'm ready to read the next one. Good characters and storyline, it will keep you interested!

I like stories about mail order brides. Though this story was short it was a delight. Can you imagine traveling on a train for a month only to have your husband to be tell you he didn't want a bride, wasn't going to marry you and you would have to go back home? What is Caroline to do? Will Travis change his mind? Will Cole marry her? After all, he is the one who ordered her for Travis without his knowledge. There is sadness, danger, romance, happyness. Get a copy of this book. You'll be glad you did.

Sweet mail order bride romance :) Caroline traveled from the East to marry Travis in Carson Valley, but when she reaches Carson Valley Travis refuse to marry her. I really love how strong Caroline was and that she really is a fighter. She does not sit around and wait for a husband to come, instead she work on the ranch and earn respect from the people in town.
I did feel that the story was too short and I would want to have more scenes where Travis and Caroline were together and the moment they fall in love. Somehow I was reading and all of the sudden Travis loves Caroline from nowhere. But overall it is a very good story and worthwhile reading !!!
Short and Sweet Mail Order Bride Story This is a very short novella. I believe it to be the prequel to a series. It is a sweet and clean story that introduces us to the town and townspeople of Carson Valley Wyoming. The plot is straightforward and sweet. The characters are realistic and have depth. I have read many of this author's works and this piece is of the same high quality of her other work. I will be watching for more of this series. I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest review.

Sweet Proposal is a lovely story of Caroline heading west to become a mail-order bride for an unsuspecting Davison brother. I would have like it more if it had been developed into a longer story, but a sweet story nonetheless.

I normally don't read romances. I made an exception with this book because Wendy Meadows is one of my favorite authors. It was different from most romances I've read and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for another great book!

The title is perfect - it was a sweet proposal! This is a clean, well-written mail order bride romance. The characters are interesting. There is some suspense when the bride-to-be is kidnapped returning from town. Perfect for an afternoon break's entertainment.
This was a really sweet short romantic story. It was nicely written, to the point and an easy read. Although it was short, it didn't seem incomplete or rushed. Would definitely recommend it.

Some folk just can't mind their own business and leave other folks alone. They think they know what's best and ultimately they did although you might not want to admit it. A perfect ending.
This was a sweet novella. I liked both Caroline and Travis. Although since it was on the short side there wasn't a lot of time to spend on their relationship. I did enjoy it through and would read more by the author.
I got this free on stuff my kindle day... and I really do not have much to say other than you can finish it within about an hour. This kind of romance isn't really for me, mail order brides? Weird but I survived.
This is a very short, sweet mail order bride western with a HEA. Travis did not want a bride and did not bother hiding that fact and Caroline was way to good for him. Trouble and danger brought them closer. This is a lovely easy read.
