He’s a special kind of Gargoyle. She’s a different kind of shifter. As their worlds collide, they must work together to save humanity from a monster.
Tamian St. Claire, the world’s first clone, is a special Gargoyle. Until recently, he spent his life following as his sister’s shadow. When Tamian investigates a spy in their midst, not only does he come across a badass government agent who turns out to be his mate, but he discovers a species of shifter the Gargoyles weren’t aware of.
Lucy Ball spent her formative years learning genetics from her uncle. Her life was safe and rather boring another until she’s given two choices: join the GIA or go to jail. As an agent for the Global Intelligence Agency, Lucy uses their computers to aid her family in finding and taking down the Ministry – a religious faction responsible for the near-apocalypse thirty years ago. When Lucy is assigned a new position, she is thrown into a world she wouldn’t wish on anyone. As Lucy is held captive in a laboratory where she’s tasked with following in her uncle’s footsteps, she relies on the one person who can save her – Tamian St. Claire.
As Gargoyles meet Gryphons, they will have to work together to save Lucy from the madness.
Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)
Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.
Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.
When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.
Just when you think things can't get any better this author will surprise you! We find out who the "spy" from Norway is that Tamian has been tracking. Not only is she his mate but she is also a shifter that the Gargoyles knew nothing about. Lucy is a Gryphon shifter. She got caught searching for her birth father by hacking into computers. So she is working for an intelligence agency so she doesn't go to jail. Now someone in the agency wants to use her genetics background in abominable experiments that her adoptive father took part in. This is an absolutely wonderful series if you love action, love, good vs evil, shifters and family. The only thing I didn't like was what happened with Audrey. I was hoping for a redemption story but I guess everything isn't always a bed of roses as we saw with Fin.
Tamian (Stone Society, #11) by Faith Gibson. I have been waiting for this book for quite sometime and I was over the moon to have gotten my hands on a copy of this book. Tamian has found his mate in Harlow aka Lucy. After giving him the slip in Norway he ends up back in the United States trying to find out more about his mate. Lucy knows she is being followed and has been able to give Tamian the slip. She knows there is something between them she just doesn't know what it is. Their cat and mouse game is cute. In this story we learn who Tamian really is and how he became the person he is today. He is happy over the fact he has a mate something he never expected the fates to give him. Like with the author's previous stories not only do we get to catch up with the other characters but we learn more about others. I love the way this author tells a story as well her characters. I seem to care about them all, good or bad. I can say I got very little sleep because I couldn't put this book down. Each book I read in this series I fall in love with and don't think the next book could get better. But they do! There are so many characters that I want to get a book next. Anyone will do. There was so much to Tamian and Lucy that I would have loved several more chapters to this book. 5 stars
As Tessa's brother and the world's first clone, Tamian has lead a different kind of life. He grew up thinking he was a freak, an afterthought even. In the previous 10 books in the Stone Society series, we get teased with bits and pieces of the Goyle, but never really get a sense of who he is. Now that we finally get his book, we are treated to the story behind the brooding male.
In Uriah, we learned about Harlow, a neighbor of Uri's and Banyon's parents in Norway. She was suspected of being a spy, watching the Gargoyles. Tamian goes to visit and he is taken by the young beauty. When we pick up the storyline in Tamian, he has started to feel the pull of the mate bond, but he doesn't immediately recognize the signs. He enlists the help of Jullian to learn more about the female. The pair are able to uncover enough to have Tamian traverse the globe in an effort to uncover her true identity. By the time Tam and Harlow come face to face, he is fully aware she is his mate. What he doesn't know is that Harlow has well kept secrets of her own. Secrets that rock the shifter world.
Yep, Harlow or Lucy (as is her given name), is also a shifter, only she is not a Gargoyle. She is a Gryphon. The Gryphons have, until now, managed to keep their existence hidden to both humans and the Gargoyle, but now that the fates have chosen Lucy for Tamian's mate, the secrets of the Gryphon are revealed.
Lucy finds herself in a world of trouble when her late uncle's genetic research associate comes demanding her assistance to further his work. Tamian, the Stone Society and the Gryphons (AKA The Hounds of Zeus), butt heads in their plans to ensure Lucy's safety. As her fated mate, Tamian will not let anyone get in his way, not even her family.
I have to thank the author, Faith Gibson, for bringing back Tessa, one of my favorite female leads, as a main character in this book. She adds her own brand of humor and an emotional connection for Tam. While nobody will ever take the place of Frey as my favorite Goyle, Tamian has definitely worked his way into my top three.
All I can say is WOW! I love this book and all of the characters, both old and new! The story was intriguing and at times even a little creepy when I read about the research lab. That said, it's an amazing story! Tamian had me wanting more with each page and looking forward to the next in the Stone Society and the coming spin off series, The Hounds of Zeus. I cannot tell you how excited I am about the new series! If you want a great exciting read, tangled with sexy romance, this is a for sure MUST READ!
I was happy Tamian got his own book. Because of the way he was cloned, he has some of the strongest abilities of any Goyle. That reminds me. Do not read this if you haven't started at book 1. This is not a standalone.
One thing I live about this series is they are just copies of each other with different names for the couple. Sometimes the couple gets together early in the book and fights the newest crisis head on. Sometimes they get together in the middle and sometimes they don't get together until around 80%.
This book was one of the 80% books. Although they talk earlier, a good chunk of the book is dedicated to him tracking her down. I guess you could say there are five parts to the book: 1- finding Lucy and introducing himself 2- rescuing Lucy from the lab wh÷e she's held captive while she is supposed to continue work done by other scientists. 3- she's free of the lab but another dramatic event keeps them separated 4- They are finally in each other's presence but haven't bonded and she is in hiding 5- There are mated and tying things up.
Parts four and five were too small of a portion of the book, IMO.
It's really cool that the author added in griffins. That is part of her keeping each book different. It certainly makes her more interesting.
I hate that these are written in 3rd person. That, along with the author's writing style makes the books dry. Maybe her spin-off series will be in dual 1st person POV.
One other weak spot in this book was her escape from the lab. Not only is it anticlimactic, but it is also unrealistic is so very many ways. This author really pushes the literary license to its brink and beyond.
If you have enjoyed this series, you will probably like this book and find it above average for the series.
Tamian has been around here and there through out the entire series, most of the time as a secondary character, so we have had a few glimpses as to who Tamian is. We know he is Tessa's clone and the very first clone at that, we also know he is special but not exactly the extent of how special until now. I was excited to find that Tamian got his own story and has found his mate and she is pretty special herself, the perfect mate for Tamian. Of course all the aspects of a great read that you come to expect from the author are there with this installment of the Stone Society. There is action, suspense, some hot and steamy moments as well as back ground story leading to what to come in future books. This series is a must read!
I've been waiting for Tamian's story since he sort of faded away after his sister found her mate. When he realized he needed to find himself. He's floated in and out of the series, but now, he's here, and I couldn't be more excited. Faith Gibson does Tamian justice in finding him a mate that is well suited for him, going to give Tessa a run for her money, and fit right in with the Stone Society.
Lions and Eagles and Gryphons, with Gargoyles Hoo Boy!
Tamian found his mate-in Norway, and tracked her all over. He learned she was a GIA agent, coerced into joining. Then, transferred to another group and effectively kidnapped by her boss. Her family, the Hounds of Zeus and Tamian's Clan get her out, safe, the evil guys experiments and equipment destroyed, and Damian and Lucy mated. Whew! Oh, and Drago is still working with the Unholy. Which had a twist. One question. Did Tamian's wings change back to grey outside the bedroom?
When Tamian meets Lucy he realises not only is she his mate but she is also a shifter, a kind of shifter that gargoyles have never come across before, half eagle, half lion, a gryphon. When Lucy disappears Tamian must use everything in his power to free her, even joining forces with her family. This is, as you would expect, a very well written, thrill ride. This series just keeps getting better.
Tamian is awesome!! He is very unique and smart and extremely protective with the people he loves. This is a new twist 2 his mate that will benefit both sides. Even though monk didn't get his love 4 Tamian mate, hopefully in the near future there can b a spinoff books come out that he finds his true love. The stone society is very unique and loveable and 1 of the best I've read. I can't wait 4 more 2 come in the future asap.
I always look forward to new Stone Society books. The world the author created is so vibrant and real. The characters are interesting and well fleshed out. Tamian and Lucy are believable in their connection and their place in the Stone Society and the rest of the world. The sex is hot and the HEA is satisfying.
This series is off the charts good. I love all the characters and animals that are being introduced. It was so exciting and just as good as book one. You know how about after the third book in a series gets old well this series is great all the way to book eleven. I can not wait for book twelve. It was exciting, funny, and sexy you will not be disappointed.
This book was ok but not my favorite. I read the 10 books before this one in the series and really liked them. It took me a while to finish this one. The characters were described very well and I could relate to them. I just felt like the story was not interesting to me.
Exciting new turn of events which I’m sure will lead to a spin-off and perhaps a new alliance. Tamian and Lucy don’t spend very much time physically together in this book. Mostly stalking each other and then through their minds. So it was a different kind of mates story.
Wow!! Amazing read. Tamian has been around since book one. Always on the outside looking in. Then he sees his mate on a monitor. He does everythibg he can to find out who she is. Lucy and Tamian are a special couple. Love this one!
I thought for a minute Monk was going to do something bad to Lucy. I loved the interaction between Tamian and Lucy. It was fascinating to me how Tamian was created and the powers he had. I really enjoyed tbis.
Gryphons meet Gargoyles in this tale but of course the gargoyles are better. The overarching storyline continues and is interesting but the dialogue between characters and even the writing can be awkward and clunky at times.
I Loved that Tamian finally got a mate as special as him. Made my heart swell that now he knows just cause he's a clone doesn't make him any lesser than the wonderful man he is. Great book 11. Can't wait to move to next.
I've been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint! So many questions answered, but so many new ones. Can't wait to see where the series goes from here.
Loved it! I started the series when she first came out with Raphael and I have been following it ever since! Tamians story was a long time coming, and I wasn’t disappointed. It answered many questions. And started a couple more stories! If you haven’t read this book or read the series start from the beginning, you can’t go wrong here. I’m absolutely sure you’ll love it as much as I do! Thank you Faith Gibson for your awesome imagination and all your hard work! HAPPY READING ALL!!!!!!
