When Tara first sees Reid Davenport with his chiseled jaw and aristocratic features, he strikes her as a mystery man—a mystery she’d like to unravel. But it’s only a brief encounter in a hotel lobby, it’s not like she’ll ever see him again. He’s probably there for some high-powered business meeting, she’s only there for a special treat massage at the spa.

Then she discovers who he is; the lesser known Davenport brother. Author, programmer—recluse. At least that’s how the media portrays him.

She’s about to find out that there’s a whole lot more to him than that.

Reid can’t believe his luck when he runs into the sexy redhead and her son for the second time. There’s something about her—something that makes him feel in ways he didn’t know he was capable of. He wants to date her, to explore those feelings, and to get to know her and her little boy.

Tara doesn’t date, she doesn’t have the time or the energy, since her life is devoted to her son, Owen. Owen is special. To her, he’s the most special little boy in all the world; but to the rest of the world, he’s considered “special needs.”

Reid understands just how special Owen is; he doesn’t just understand, he can relate.

Get your copy now, and you’ll laugh and cry as you follow these three on their journey to becoming a family.

Hi, I'm SJ. A coffee addict, lover of chocolate and drinker of good red wines. I'm a lost soul and a hopeless romantic. Reading and writing are necessary parts of who I am. Though perhaps not as necessary as coffee! I can drink coffee without writing, but I can't write without coffee.

I grew up loving romance novels, my first boyfriends were book boyfriends, but life intervened, as it tends to do, and I wandered down the paths of non fiction for many years. My life changed completely a couple of years ago and I returned to Romance to find my escape.

I write 'Sweet N Steamy' stories because to me there is enough angst and darkness in real life. My favorite romances are happy escapes with a focus on fun, friendships and happily-ever-afters, just like the ones I write.

These days I live in beautiful Montana, the last best place. If I'm not reading or writing you'll find me just down the road in the park - Yellowstone. I have deer, eagles and the occasional bear for company, and I like it that way :0)

This is an escape romance - escape from reality that is. A sweet little boy with autism, a brave mother and hero who's lived the experience. It was so far removed from real life, that it was almost offensive. I didn't like the h, she's smart but no mention of how she researched how to help her little boy, instead she limited his life to make life easier. Understandable of course, but then she gets 'down and dirty' so quickly with the H - that was 'icky' and low class. So much of their 'sweet nothings' was working out how he would 'pay' to support her, pay off her ex - very practical I suppose, but not at all romantic.

This is the third book in this awesome series, and is Reid and Tara’s story. Reid is a billionaire author and coder, and is in town to visit his family. Tara is a single mom with an autistic son. Reid is drawn to Tara instantly, and when they meet in the most unconventional way, the chemistry between this is intense. I loved catching up with Oscar and TJ and their significant others. This is a beautiful story, which is flawless, and I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read more of this exceedingly talented author’s work, and I highly recommend for all readers.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this novel for an honest review!

Role model Tara...
Sj always brings to life strong characters... Especially in the Davenports series...
But Tara should be a role model for every single mom! I love the way she gets her happily ever after! (it's my dream as well)
Again this Davenports serie books brings up a difficult topic, but in the perfect way...
After reading almost every book SJ wrote I've just decided that the Davenports are my favorite because she makes imperfect and very real characters into people you want to know and be friends with in real life!
I honestly hope this isn't the end of the Davenports...

I loved Reid and Tara and little Owen!! They are such a wonderful couple and a wonderful family!! I love how they found each other!! How Reid helped her with Owen because he sees himself in him. How Tara teachers Reid how to love and express it!! How Tara understands Reid and loves him just the way he is!! I have read all three Davenport book and I would have to say Reid is my favorite!! I would recommend this book and all the Davenport books!!

Another great addition to the Davenports series. Reid Davenport is the the brother of Oscar and TJ Davenport. Although the have there own stories they do not need to be read to enjoy Reid and Tara's story but I do recommend all three. SJ sure can write a swoon worthy book boyfriend and a anazing HEA. Reid is a a writer and coder and of course a billionaire. He is in town visiting his brothers and parents. Tara is a single mom that edits book at home and takes care of her autistic son. He meets Tara in an unconventional way and the sparks fly immediately but, doesn't take on the first go round. The second was all it took and on to a great love story. And oh don't get me started on how cute Owen (Tara's Son) is. Mentions of some of our favorite characters Grace, Oscar, TJ, Dani and Shane Remington (swooning)

I love SJ McCoy’s writing because although every couple is unique and sexy, she also tackled real life issues like Veteran support and foster care. This book includes important information about autism and is a beautiful story of how to do what is best for your kids. Tara and Reid are my favorite couple yet as they are real. Tara is overworked and overwhelmed, but good things come to good people! Great read!

Another good book, the author has done us proud again as always. She obviously done research into high function autism and this came across well without the usual cringe stereotypical type some write about. I love the way all the people are part of each other and we go back into Shane and Cassidy from teh ranch series as well as the Davenports. I just love Sj 's scenes too where you can go with them into parks and smell the freshness by the lake. A good read if you like contemporary romance.

What an amazing book. This books writing is different but in a good way.
This story is very touching. From the few people I’ve seen with kids that have autism, this is a very good description. And so heart touching on how Reid deals with Owen.
I absolutely loved it.

Loved this book. As the third in the Davenport series this book stuck a cord with me. The way the author dealt with an autistic child and the care and thoughtfulness put into the engagement with the main adult characters was genuine. Many authors would have tried to gloss over the issue of an autistic child in the book but this was at the heart of soul of the interaction between Reid and Owen. I wish more authors would address such important real life issues with the class SJ McCoy did in this book. The romance was well written as well but for me the book tugged at my heart strings with the characterisation of young Owen. Bravo SJ!!!

Reid, Tara and Owen

I thought the previous two books in this series were wonderful. But this story of Reid meeting Tara when her son Owen is in so much distress, had a smile on my lips with tears running down my face.
The way this book describes how Owen and Reid understand each other is beautiful, and also helps Tara understand how to enjoy doing more with her son, and how to handle the times that he gets upset.
It brings a whole family together with so much love.
This book should be on every ones list, it warms your heart and gives you something to think about ( what if).......

I can’t even express how I loved this book!

The ultimate love is acceptance. This book is a tribute to all the beautiful children who see and feel the world around them in a unique way, and the parents who love them and strive to help them have a better life. It’s so rare that an author takes on a subject like Autism, let alone portray it in a sensitive, yet realistic way. Thank you, SJ McCoy!
You will fall in love with Reid, Tara, and Owen in this continuing Davenport series. Their love story will inspire you, and like Owen, you will feel like you’ve come home.

Terrific closing for the brothers Davenport

Reid’s storyline was certainly different and very well written. His character is sincere, honest and down to earth And of the three brothers he is my favorite. Tara and Owen enter his life in a hurry and the story ramps up. At times I found myself tearful and smiling so you know this got to me. Recommend you read all three books and this one deserves 5 Stars.

Loved the book!
Tara + Reid only meet for a moment, but that quick moment left a lasting impression.
Now, are they brave enough to see were it might lead them ?
I loved the storytelling + the characters.
The heart wants what the heart wants.
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
