Harley is gone. Lucifer has no choice but to go to his father for help. Despite the banishment to Hell, and the fact that they haven’t talked since cavemen were bashing each other over the head with sticks, Luc knows it’s the only chance he has to save his best friend. He would sacrifice anything for her and his father knows it. Despite the utter chaos going on around him though, the Game must go on. It’s time for Luc to put on his big girl panties and stop letting things stand in his way. He is the King of Hell, after all. What the devil wants, the devil gets, and he wants true love, even if his sacrifice means he doesn’t get to keep her. Talia Holt isn’t interested in dating. Mostly, she prefers to stay in her room playing video games and hanging out in her pajamas. She has everything she needs there. It’s safe and easy. But the world has a way of stepping in and changing everything. Meeting Luc is just the intervention she needed, but will she be his soul mate? Will they even have the chance to find out?

L J lives on the Jersey Shore with her husband, four kids, two cats, and an inherited dog from hell (a.k.a. the sewer gremlin). Though writing has always been her first passion, she got a degree in psychological counseling and worked in the mental health field for awhile, which she finds very helpful in dealing with her crazy family. She is a lover of all different types of music and books, switching between genres so wildly it sometimes makes people wonder if she has multiple personalities. She is most likely to be found writing romance stories of all kinds (contemporary, erotic, new adult, young adult, fantasy, paranormal, etc.) . When she's not writing, she prefers to spend her time reading, taking photos, watching Doctor Who or Supernatural, or spending time with her family. She loves to hear from readers so visit her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AuthorLJBaker or check out her website at www.lj-baker.com

Cliffhanger!

The story continues to build in this volume, with an all too human Lucifer and crew of angels and demons. Yes, sure, he's superficially paired with a girl in each book, but the plot twisted - as life does - to where that's not the main attraction.

Talia's my favorite of the sins this far, working her way past sloth to healing, as all of them seem to do. She didn't appear as much, but based on the series thus far, we'll see her again.

An example of the writing:

"Luc enjoyed Earth and he respected humans. They might not be the most intelligent creature, and they may make more mistakes than any species should, but they tried. They lived and they died. They loved and they survived heartbreak. They learned and they grew. They deserved to go on doing those things, and making mistakes, until they screwed it up so much on their own, that their existence was unsustainable."
